  2. OK so now I got mail as well,,,,,,,, hey, not the offer I expected, but if Squidley gets the same offer, no wonder you ended up in a cruiser,,,,,,, ya that's right, I do believe I have an actual offer for a MASSAGE. Now the question is, do I dare take this offer?????
  3. How come the rest of us don't get mail??? Don't we rate????
  4. Wizard765 and Marcarl are PMing just fine,,, maybe tooo fine,,,,, nahhhh
  5. All right, it's back to leaving our place at 6:30 pm. I edited the first post to read correctly. See you all tonight,,, most likely destination,,,,, Woodstock.
  6. I had thought about doing that,,,, did it help???
  7. In Canada we have a product called 'Seal All' made by Eclectic Products Inc, Pineville LA 71361. Phone 800.767.4667 for info. No I didn't spell it wrong. This is wonderful stuff, clean your tank, rub some on and wait about 5 minutes, cover the area with a cigarette package type material, and do it again, wait 15 minutes before you fill the tank. I have fixed leaky gas tanks with this stuff, holes in oil pans, sewer pipes on my motor home and what ever else needs to be leak proofed. You don't even need to drain the tank, just hold it there with you finger for a minute or two, and the leak is stopped. http://www.eclecticproducts.com/sealall.htm
  8. Got to hold your tongue right!!!!! no if's and's or but's, it's either right or it's not going to work. Actually, the spline fits into the u-joint 'just so', it needs to be lined up to within 0 degrees tolerance, at least that is a good assumption. Close will not be good enough, so patience is a virtue. One time you'll get it right, right off the bat, and the next time it may take 4 hours! YA!! Just don't go nuts and use a hammer, won't help none at all.
  9. got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a new trick, post it on VentureRiders, threaten to take down the swing arm, look at your wife with,,,,,, never mind, that didn't work,,,,, Actually, what I expected to happen a long long time ago, like last night,, just happened. Now to install the rest of the stuff. Yahoooooooo!!!! Thanks Guys,,, you're the greatest bunch around,,, don't know what you did,,, but you didded it.
  10. Tried all that so far,,, even slept on it,,,,, just in case somebody thought that would be an idea. Thanks so far. Carl
  11. I needed to grease the splines, so I also took the drive shaft out,,,, not a biggie,,, I done this before, even wrote on how to do it the easy way, without extra tools. Now it WON"T go in,,, it just won't go in,,, I mean it just won't engage. I can wiggle the u-joint, turn the U-joint, see the u-joint, get the shaft started into the u-joint, but it won't engage. Anybody have any ideas???????? 4 hours at this, and I'm a little frustrated.
  12. Opening your big mouth once too often??? and not for ice-cream?
  13. If you haven't taken the whole system apart to clean and refurbish it,, then now is the time and add the stainless lines as well, it would be long overdue!!!!
  14. Take the whole system apart, clean it all, install new seals etc, add stainless lines and you'll be surprised when you hit those brakes!!!!! You'll also be surprised at all the crystals you'll find in the system, you'll wonder that you manged to stop at all. Do everything, front and rear, and don't forget the stainless lines. Takes a little time, but boy the results are awesome. And oh ya,, put in the stainless lines.
  15. Just a thought,,,, a little thought,,, maybe we can help out here somehow,, so here's the question: What sort of bike would Quickstep want to ride when he's over here, there may be one in the 'junk pile' we can resurrect for the occasion, or maybe we can even find one that runs half descent, with tires and all. So the question is: does it need to be bigger than a scooter, as big as a Wing, does it need to rock like a HD, how many bags will be required if any, does he want to tow a trailer? Just tell us what might be in store, can't make any promises, but we have time, so ideas can be worked on.
  16. Welcome to the world of LEDs. Don't get confused. Take your time and read the specks. http://www.superbrightleds.com/
  17. Mushy is the word,,,, boy if you change soo fast, I'm going to be more careful!!!!
  18. $800 max, or you'll loose your shirt on this one. The bumper is worth something but it wouldn't fit my scoot,,,,, I'd make sure it wouldn't fit my scoot!!!
  19. Now you're saying you got a buddy?? is that different than friend???
  20. Well you did RIDE and EAT,,,and then also helped out with the funds needed, so you are a VentureRider for sure. Thanks for being there!
  21. Was there and had no problem finding the VentureRiders,,,, just had to look for fattie and skinny, shorty and long boat,, and the old timer found himself by accident!!!!!!oh ya, and brown skin sure helped out!!!
  22. From the training manual of the course that I took some years ago: -For the 1st 20 minutes or so get off the road, there is too much oil that needs to washed off first. Depends on how much rain there is, but if it's not much, longer is better than shorter. -Slow down a bit,, it's safer, but don't start bothering traffic, then get out of the way. -On wet roads,,, not loaded with oil and such, MC tires have 95% of their traction ability, considering the pressures are right. Now in my opinion only, your front tire has too much air, I would go for about 32 or 34, but not 40,, but that's only my opinion, and I don't have any problems in the rain, with either Venoms or Dunlops E-III. And I don't know how much weight you carry with 2 up, but 40 sounds to be lots,,, only my opinion of course,,, again. The 2 of us weight about 420 with me being the one that is short changed in that department.
  23. Won't be long and we'll have cottagers complaining to the government about the low water levels, and expecting those folks to do something about it,,,,,, YA!!!
  24. Just got back from PA, spent all of last week there, in Lancaster more or less, rode some awesome roads,,,, little or no traffic,,,,,, WOW, what a good time,,,, will go back there again,,, maybe real soon. Didn't post that we were going, wanted to be on our own. Motels were ot that bad for price, had one room in Buttonville (Ephorium) for only $38.00, it was small, but we only slept there, so it was awesome. Stayed at the Dutch Motel in Palmyra and got ripped off for an extra $20.00,,,, she wasn't Dutch, she was from Burma. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and plan to go again, maybe in the fall for some colors.
  25. I would go with the local law enforcement,,, maybe,,, they will probably want to know who you are, and then if the guy claims that there was more money there than what there is now, you might get stopped at the border for things unknown. I would call the locals first first and see what the procedure is, and if they demand to have your ID, I would then just drop it off on their desk, with a note as to how it got there. I would also park the shuttle a block or two away so they don't get your license number. May seem like a lot of overkill, but it may save you from overkill coming from the law and lots of problems in border crossing in the future. Fie sure, I would not tell the law who I am.
