  1. It seems you did a good job of leaving us alone,,,, guess some thought that we would tell on them if they got out of line, (and thanks for your direct phone number, glad I didn't have to use it),,,, some one did threaten once, but that's all water under the bridge now,,, right Mini? And you're right about leaving things in Kevin and Sue's hands as far as the Rally is concerned, it came off without a hitch, we all had time to meet each other, ride a bit, eat more food than what was necessary, drink a little wobbly pop, and even catch a wink or two, but the best part was getting to mingle in real life with those who we only meet on this site,,,, I'm sure a lot of friendships were started, made and strengthened,,,,, all thanks to you and those who were with you when this idea was born.
  2. Just tell her that there is no better way to enjoy the clear weather, then having some wet weather first,,,, and tell her that if it's raining you'll stay the day in the motel room,,,,, and now my advice cometh to the end, for if you can't carry on with the thoughts and actions you're not have the man I figured you might be, and this site is PG rated.
  3. Now you tell me, and I haven't had any yet today,,, well I had a milk shake,, does that count???? and I have some Hagen Daus in the freezer,, will that do??? or do I have to go out for a banana split???
  4. First off, get the seafoam through and cleaned out,,,, it just won't run right with seafoam in the mixture. Once you are down to fresh gas, pull the breather and check the diaphragms to makes sure they are all moving equally, if they are then sync the carbs, if not, you have a problem there, could be a bad seating or you could be missing the little O-ring that goes in the bottom. When you get through those checks, report back.
  5. Glad to see you made it home in good time. We got 'stuck' in Thornbury over night, man this place is busy, all the major hotels were booked full. Benefit was that our room was small!!!!! didn't take long to cool it down. Now for a leisurely ride home the rest of the day. Hope to make it before the rain hits, and so we can then say that we didn't need our rain suits for the whole week,,,,,, wow,,, what a great week!!!!!!!

Now Charlie,,,, what have you been up to,,,,, you were supposed to be at the rally, but I wasn't able to find you, or Four Paws either,,,, so now fess up, and tell us what you've been up to,,,,, we were worried sick about what happened to you,,,,, bad boy!
  7. That's alright Wizard, you really wouldn't know what to do it anyways, 'course that would depend on what you wanted to win. thanks Leadwolf, you are to be commended!!!!!!!!
  8. What??????????? There's FREE stuff???????????? I'm in, I'm in,,,,, where do I go, who do I see. Actually,,,, very nice unit you two, hope you can enjoy it a lot.
  9. We are avoiding the slab like the plague, running just south of Flint, appreciate the offer, but there are 4 of us, and maybe we'll get there somewhat early and have to spend time in the pool so we smell nice and pretty for everybody. I'll have to see how it times out with all of us,,,,,,, and are you sure Leslie is ok with this????????
  10. We're planning on leaving Sat in the am as well,,,, about 9 or 10, leisurely riding our way to Zombra, cross into a foreign country, shirt around Detroit, duck under Flint, and then meander over to Indiana. Should take some time so we'll have to sleep overnight somewhere,,,,, maybe they have over or under passes in that country,,,,, oh heck, we're on holidays, we'll find a motel somewhere, yep, and then we plan to arrive sometime Monday, just in time for the promised Potatoes at the creek!!!!!!!!
  11. YEP,,, it means that the tube is open and working,,,, and,,,,,,,,,, that you can see,,,,,, and,,,,,,, that there was oil somewhere before
  12. My next thoughts on making my 1st gen run quieter is to use a straight #50 diesel oil. I think all oil companies will promote their own oil and so convince us that what ever they are promoting is definitely the best for what ever ails our thinking at the time. It is true that one wants to stay away from ordinary car oil with all the additives, that are not present in diesel oil. I have used diesel oil now for 3 years with no problems with the clutch, but I have been using 20.50 or 20.40. Today I'm going to find me some #50 or #40 and see how that works out. Don't want to run this in cooler weather, but during the summer it might be the answer. My thought is to provide some cushioning effect for the straight cut gears in behind the clutch. Will let you know if it works. And if I don't make it to the rally, I will blame it on cupcakes with no cheesecake!!!!!!!
  13. I used nothing when mine broke and got lost,,,,, so now it's easier to remove the panels,,,, and so far I have not had an issue with them flapping or threatening to go for a hay ride. But that's just me and my scoot, and I only have one,,,,,,,
  14. Nice paint job,,,, that's what I'm supposed to say,,,,right?????
  15. So have you got any answers yet,,,,, I'm very Dutch and want to save as much as I can, and I want to use your stuff to start saving as soon as I can,,,,,, com come, what taking you so long,,,eh?
  16. What???????????????/ you weren't pulling the beer cart, excuse me? what are beer carts for and just when IS the best time to use it. You should have pulled over, opened the cart and set up shop,,,, you could have sold out in no time and made many many friends. then when you're sold out, you would have the real reason to use the shoulder, and everybody would have cheered you on>>>>>> go get more BEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUHHHHH do we have to tell you everything???????:stirthepot:
  17. Take the pin out that it swivels on (bolt) and apply a little moly grease, simply, really. and easy.

  23. Ya took da 'icture @ the wrong time, I was in for me nooner!!!!!
  24. Well we took no pictures,,, just memories of one great Canada Day. We left Brantford @ 7 am, visited in Kitchener at Timmies until 8:30 and then left with the whole group, 6 bikes, to end up in Mono Mills about 10 am, or just a little early, seeing as Swifty led part of the way. There we met with 4 more scooters to complete the bunch at 10. We left at 10:30 and motored our way to Bala, with a stop for gas and P. Wizard was leading again ad I'll tell you, towards the end it got downright confusing,, and we could have been there a lot sooner had he taken the straight road,,, but NO,,,, he had to find this road that just didn't seem to know which way it wanted to go, and it seemed like we were on it for hours. It would go right, then left, and then left some more, then it would go straight just long enough to get up a gear and then it would curve again. I really wasn't all that far behind, just couldn't see around the next bend to see if Wizard was there with lunch or not, and seeing as I was getting hungry and he was finding lunch, I had to keep going, faster and faster and then another bend in the road and no lunch yet. F i n a l l y he comes to a stop long enough for me to catch up, and HE STILL HAD NO LUNCH!!!!!!! But now all is forgiven, he did find lunch, corned beef on rye, a large burger and salad, and to top it all off, an ICE-CREAM SUNDAE, eat your heart out Tom. We left there at 3pm to find some more of those pretzel roads, well actually these were more like an aftermath, but good riding indeed, all around Lake Muskoka and then off to Gravenhurst, at which time we lost a few riders due to other commitments. After we got past Gravenhurst we did some more fancy riding, took some pictures, to remember who we rode with, and then headed for home at 5pm, stopped in Fergus to rehash the day so that when we told the stories they would more or less be all the same, kind of, and then we headed to our respective nests, just to spend the night. A REALLY GOOD DAY, glad I remember where I wasn't Carl
  25. Now what did you go and tell her that for,,,,,,, do you know what that means,,, how are we ever going to live with that now,,,,, sometimes it's hard enough,,,,, but now and the rally is just around the corner,,,,,,,,,,,
