I AM at work,,,, not easy this new job of mine,,, keep forgetting what comes next,,, so then I need a nap to let my body catch up to my,,,,, darn,,,, forgot that now! Yep, seen some around a time or two, some is big and some are small, but I don't think I'm old at all. Now first thing in the morning I wonder some times when I look next to,,,, I better not say that either,,,,,,, dog house is not built yet.

Old is only relevant if you can't remember what you did yesterday. I never have problems on Wednesdays, so today will be a good day!! The other nice thing about 'old' I understand, is that everyday is the 1st day of the rest of your life, so I take that as truth, and so make it my point to rest a lot,, seems to be good for the health,,, at least so they say,, so I who am I to argue.

Ya next time plan this so we can ALL go along,,,, I mean you need to pick a day when we're not all busy with other things. Glad you all had a good time,,, looks like the roads were awesome, the food was good,,,, but where was the ice-cream???????

You do have an issue,,, could be: An electrical leak, can be determined by taking the positive off the battery and seeing how many amps the bike draws vs what it should draw and then start removing fuses to decide where the problem is. A second bum battery, or maybe it wasn't so new as expected. A not so good charging system yet, maybe some loose connections or a weak stator. I would start with: Charging the battery to full capacity, let it sit for 12 hours and check to make sure the voltage is at least 12.5 volts, anything less and you have a problem in the battery department. If you have a spare power source, you can check for electrical leaks at the same time. You'll need either a charged battery, or a charger, trickle charger will probably do, hooked up to your bike and then you can determine where the draw is going, just by unhooking things as you go along.

One of those deceiving situations where it looks dry enough, but ends up with a water hole under it all. Can't really blame the excavator operators for their problems, they went in to help, but how often do they experience a farmer's field,,, found out the hard way I'd say!

My thoughts exactly, but after my first comments, I thought maybe I should be a little quiet, so I won't say it,,,,, at least not now....... Nice ride, but my wife would be staying home,,,,, she wants 'security',,,, faring, bags etc.

Air leak is definitely not good, so should be fixed. Back firing is really a loud bang in the carbs, but what I think you mean is that you have an explosion in the exhaust, also commonly referred to as 'back fire', this is caused by too much fuel in the exhaust system, and so in effect you have an 'after burn' situation, very easily caused by too rich a mixture on the downswing, yep, can be caused by too large a pilot jet.

I think something that smell kind of natural would be the ticket, that way my wife can get used to it and not complain so much at other times,,,,,, think that would work,,,ummmm
