  1. The door is always open, don't know what locks are for,, only to keep out friends anyways. Not going to be easy either,,,, but it will come to you,,,,, just go get it Lowell Carl
  2. When you least expect it,,,,,,,,, smile, you're on Candid Camera

  4. We got us a demand water heater last year when we did our renovations on our new to us house. It saves room, (stuck it on the wall) but it does take gas. You never run out of hot water, but the temp does change if you use water elsewhere during your shower. At first we weren't too pleaseed with it, but now that we're used to it and can see the differnce in our gas bill,,,, I'll put one in my next house,,,,,, but I would get the one that has a small tank inside, that way you get hot water quicker and more consistent. Ours is in the basement bathroom and I can't say that it makes any bothersome noise.
  5. Now this sees a little out of character,,, who's the cheap one not wanting to pay toll,,, I wonder:think:
  6. 2 for me,,, does it come full of HOT coffee?
  7. http://toronto.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20101013/toronto-police-freak-collision-101013/20101013?hub=TorontoNewHome ctvtoronto.ca A Toronto police officer was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries after a freak collision downtown. "It is a weird one," Sgt. Tim Burrows of the Toronto Police Service's traffic unit told CTV Toronto on Wednesday. A motorcycle had been in the curb lane of Queen Street West and then tried to navigate around a parked delivery truck around 6 p.m. "In attempting to return to the curb lane, he lost it on the streetcar tracks," Burrows said, who noted there was rain at the time. "The bike went down and slid in a northern direction. He went off to the south." A police officer standing astride a bicycle at the intersection of Queen and Beverley Street got knocked down by the sliding motorcycle, which approached him from behind, he said. The motorcyclist wasn't hurt, but the officer suffered back and leg injuries, Burrows said. The scene was reopened to traffic shortly before 8 p.m.
  8. Should we post that at Freebird's as well,,,,, you never know. Maybe better safe than sorry
  9. TSC has the Mr.Heater Maxx on sale this week for $429.00.
  10. I found it interesting, it moved along nicely, although sometimes too fast. The vocals need work. His voice is good, and fits the type of video nicely, but it trails off too easily, and he needs to enunciate more clearly. If you are familiar with the product and what it does, you might be alright in following him, but he lost me a lot of times.
  11. I won't buy from them anymore,,,,,,, does that help???? If bad gas is just water in the gas, through in a good amount of methyl hydrate, that will soak up the water and run it through the engine.
  12. Yep, that's why they put floor boards on the 2nd gens, it's happens quite often.
  13. And you didn't have enough love for the rest of us to let us know where all this freebeer was????? For not showing up and us having to eat all the food by ourselves, well that can be forgiven,,,, but not sharing the beer,,,,,?????????? What does everybody else think about that move???????
  14. Muscle it open further than what it now? Actually, I would think the hinges are bent, so you may want to start looking there. I don't think they are adjustable, but if they are, the adjustment may have slid somewhat.
  15. Best we can do is pray, so done!!
  16. I got the 660 and can see it all the time, it's out in the open, and I wear sunglasses. Can't speak for the blue tooth, don't use it, just use the hard wire through the IC and that works fine, no issues. I'm thinking you got a bad 660.

  20. Don't have to anyways,,, I figure that's what friends are for.
  21. If you didn't get lucky,,,, why would you wish it on someone else? By the way, that scoot is worth what ever you pay for it! That's if you like riding. If it the other reason, best get a crotch rocket.
  22. I would consider one before I go to a trike,,,,,,,,,,,,, getting a little older and some years from now,,,,, say 30 or so, I might even decide to take one out for a ride to see how it might plan into my future,,, hopefully I can find one for less than $5000 by then.
  23. Anybody seen Charlie??????????????
  24. Eye bolts are screwed in to the 2x4s. Had to relocate a couple because they broke out under pressure, they apparently need to be mounted in the center of that wood thingie. Through bolts would have been better, but I can't get up there anymore, it's all sealed off. That's the trouble with you guys and your new ideas, you're always too late. Once it's up there I have it held with ratchet straps and the cable is there now in case the straps break. No I don't plan on working under it, that's where I'll park my Sears tractor, so that if it does come down, it'll have a soft landing on a piece of sh*t.
  25. After reading about hanging a trailer from the ceiling, I thought what a good idea, well just about, I mean, I almost had to call Squidley and apologize to him,,, here's how it went. I checked out my shop, and sure enough I had a space where that could actually take place, it was going to be close and not save me a lot of room,,, but just the idea intrigued me, so I did some planning, I know, give it up, but I stayed at it and actually came up with a plan. My trailer, I figure to weight about 200 lbs so it should be easy. I get me some rope,, (oh I got that, former owner left me a whole bunch), well then I need some pulleys,, lets see,, about 5 will do, nah let's get enough, we make it 7, and then some eye hooks to fasten the pulleys to the ceiling,, maybe be done in 1 hour or so. Got all the required hardware, measured out the rope, decided on the location for the pulleys and put it all together. That was easy, about 2 hours, but then coffee was there as well. OK hook up the trailer and then up it goes and I have floor space. Got it all hooked, one point at the tongue and two points at the rear, all one run of rope, meaning that the rope was one length only and as I pulled on one rope all three points were supposed to come up equally. Oh my, the trailer's back end was the only part to come up and then only one side of it. No matter, kick the thing and it will balance,, right? yep! but you can only do so much of that before you get tired, and the front end was still on the floor,,, and darn that 200 lbs was getting heavy. At this point the slope on the trailer was about 45 degrees, and the front was still on the floor. Enough of that,,, back to the drawing board. Only cost me a few bucks so far, but hey I'm into it and it now needs doing!!!!! Time to plan this thing somewhat different,,,, OK, I'll get winch, that'll make it more controllable and easier to lift, after all I am getting older and I need to think of the future. I'll get a winch and cable instead of rope but use the same setup, what a genius I is. Well after the first 50 bucks, here goes another 50. Next night I go at it again with cable and a winch. I get Marca to turn the winch while I guide the trailer to the ceiling. Everything is peachy keen........... until the lid of the trailer touches the ceiling..... the front needs to lift just a bit more Hon,,,, give it a bit more,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,CRASH!!!!!!!!,,,,, yep, it's back where it started,,, on the floor,, along with broken pulleys, and lots of stretched out eye bolts,,,, everybody is OK,, Marca is not even shaking,,, course it missed her by 2 feet, so it seems she was quite safe after all. Now I got think again,,,,, this brain works is starting to get to me. It's a new idea, but somehow this trailer has to go up evenly and easily, so the winch is in,,, what else would be handy,,,, maybe some heavier pulleys and of course heavier eye bolts, ouch,,, so far it's 100 bucks, now another 80,,, this is not getting any cheaper, nor is it taking as short as first imagined. But,,,, now it works. Nine pulleys, about 80 feet of cable, one winch, a bunch of cable clamps, 3\8 inch eye bolts and the trailer goes up lick-a-dee-slip. And oh,,,, it suffered no damage on the way down the first time,,,and I saved about 6 square feet of floor space. Anybody else got a bright idea I can try?
