Will be in Kitchener/Waterloo Area on the weekend
Marcarl replied to E-Fishin-C's topic in Watering Hole
Sounds like that might work. Carl -
If it's your steering head bearing that your worried about and whether you have it too tight, then you'll soon notice it when you ride. Now you have to be very critical, because you will try to find lots of excuses to say that it's good or OK enough, but if it's too tight the bike will either wander on it's own or it will need to be guided back to center constantly. The problem with worn bearings is that they have developed a centering spot, and if loose then the steering will want to center back there and not give the freedom of following where you want it to go. If they are too loose and you go too fast (and that is relative to conditions) you will end up with a wobble that could turn nasty. It's hard for anyone to give an opinion with really having the scoot on hand to assess. Would Would I ride mine? I might, and then again I might not. Will it fall apart and the front wheel roll away,,, not likely from what you have said.

Guess you haven't been a Canadian yet, or lived in Canada. It's the greatest place to be on this earth,,,, except for where you are right now,,,, and that is always the best to be!!!! Can't beat your present position!!!

We need to eat supper somewhere on Saturday,,,, might as well be KW. Fireside Restaurant or the Pioneer BBQ are both good choices. I'll talk to the missus, and see what she says, it is Thanksgiving weekend, so it might not work out. -
They sit bad,,,, that's why I bought a Venture. I find I tend to move forward constantly when riding. I hear more of the same from the Wings. Other than whats been said, that's it.

There's a reason for the statement: the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Think I'll move to the States,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Maybe best to get FreeBird over there to cut the grass, he has his ways with things in the middle of the yard,,, but mostly he gets wet doing it,,, of course this would be a whole lot easier and then you wouldn't need to take the blame,,, and the Missus will think twice to give 'company' the dickens. This post will self destruct in 12 hours,,,,,,, I hope.

When you push the start button there will be a heavy draw at the battery. I a post, especially the neg, is loose it won't give enough flow for the starter so it gets hot and craps out. Then it cools and reconnects and may reconnect better than at first. In the mean time it has enough connection to charge the battery and power the rest of the scoot as mentioned before In other words,, it can and does often happen.

Yep that's the one, and so how it gets out of the way as well.
-
Yep, available in either form,, the only difference being the size of the orifice for the gas to come out. Same price as well. If you can't find one that is set up for propane, let me know, my son can probably find the right one for it. Now Swifty is offering his living room,,,,, that made be hard to pass up.
-
I haven't noticed that either,, there are 24 hrs in a day aren't there,,,,, where have you been since 4 this afternoon Dan?

I cut out the foam right where my bones tend to rest and just left holes there. I'm ok now when solo, but with Marca on the back I still have problems. I'm still alive so I'll keep thinking on it. Shaving the side a little has also crossed my mind as that is where sometimes I think the ache starts. I have determined it's a lack of blood flow that causes this all to take place, so I also thought about raising my blood pressure to see if that would help. So I eat more ice cream and such now, which means I have to stop more often,,,, and so far so good. No higher blood pressure yet, but then I don't care for that really anyways, but the ice cream sure does seem to help.!

I can see nothing wrong with what is said on their site. You'll have to get a complete quote to find out what the total would be. So far it sounds interesting. The colors sure add a different perspective.

file:///C:/Users/CARLNO%7E1/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot-2.pngfile:///C:/Users/CARLNO%7E1/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot-3.png This the heater I put in last year and am quite happy with it. Bought it at Princess Auto for about $400.00. Heats my garage, 750 sq ft with 8 ft ceiling just fine. I keep the garage at about 55 or maybe lower if I'm gone for a few days. My house is about 1400 sq ft and I heat the basement, have a gas stove, demand water heater and a gas furnace. My most expensive month last year was $108.00 for all my gas. Now last year was a warm year so I expect the cost to be higher this year. This things hangs from the ceiling so takes up no room. http://www.princessauto.com/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/8065799.jpg

This is a good discussion,,,,,,why? because we are thinking about it. There is never a perfect answer, never, but as we create scenarios and what we would do, some info is imparted to our brain, and then and only then can we use that info to decide what to do the next time something unexpected happens. So there is no right answer, no wrong answer, because each situation will be different,,,, and each rider is different, has a different machine, different thoughts, different capabilities, and sees things differently. I'm a firm believer that things will happen, but you won't go before your time, and what happens to you is all for the good of yourself and those you come in contact with,,,,somehow,,,,,, now don't ask me to get into that,,,,, that's another story.

Know what you mean, so I did mine last year, what a blessing. Got a small 48,000 BTU heater from Princess Auto, and keeps it warm all winter long,,,,,SUPER!!!!

My trailer was built by Squid and has the first gen tail light sticking out the back, so I couldn't set it up on it's rear panel either, so I built a 2x4 frame to sit on the floor for the trailer to tip on to. When I did that the trailer wouldn't stay balanced there so I had to put a hook into the wall to hitch to the tongue to keep it up. Now it all works perfect. Takes about 1 minute to store and about 30 sec to get back into action. I do like the winch idea but it's a way to complicated and involved for me. If I decided to go the ceiling route, and I like that as well, I would put 4 eye hooks in the ceiling, tie a rope to one and put pulleys on the other 3, run a rope from the open eye hook, through all 3 pulleys and so make a cradle for the trailer. Now it would be a matter of rolling the trailer over the cradle, pulling on the rope to raise the trailer and then tying the rope to another convenient hook in the wall. If your trailer is 2 ft wide keep the eye hooks about 30 in apart and there won't be any stress on the box.

Now who was that took that picture of you,,,, and now you're sooo proud!!!!!!!!!
-
So you're asking us to help you think this thing out,,,,, are we helping at all? BTW, I think Squid has it pretty right,,,, maybe not perfect,,, but not bad,,,,wonder if Lonna helped in the thinking there?
