  1. It's all in the 'attitude'. You're kind of stuck with the situation, as many of us are. I have a friend and fellow rider who is about 5'9" and his wife is 6'2". She sticks out over his head and catches a lot of wind if there is a side breeze, so we have more complaints. My wife seems to like the back of my helmet once she realized that it that or stay home, now she looks out the side a lot. She does mention it would be nice to be able to look striaght ahead, but that just isn't going to happen. so she adjusts her 'attitude' and enjoys what she can. We also stop every hour or so, and that helps. Carl
  2. Glad to see you're having a good time. Today we ride as well. See you soon. Carl
  3. When I go hard and fast, everything is just a blurrrrrrr, even the speedo, but I understand on a second gen you can actually see the speedo go up. Just some words put on the screen,, doesn't really mean anything though.
  4. Not my fault that he asked the WRONG question,,, at least I got the answer right......didn't I???? Did sooooo! some more.
  5. There's an argument on the color, but the neighbours don't have any say, so I will be painting it. Any suggestions?????? I'll pass them on to Marca.
  6. Somebody is bound to tell you right. But then again, maybe they're all waiting for me to tell you, so I'll just jump right in. The first gen are faster, so they're always first,,,,,, unless we do a group ride, then often enough they go last so that they won't leave the 2nd gens behind by accident.
  7. Now for the last couple of days. Wiring almost done, walls insulated, closet in master bedroom ready for dressing.
  8. Wasn't going to post this picture, but you forced me into it.
  9. Must have been my fault then,,,,,,,I've been told that I'm FAR OUT.
  10. I hope you looked back once in a while, that's the only way to know where you came from, so that someday you can find your way back, We're going to miss you guys in these parts, I mean we miss you already, but that's all right, I just hope things go well for you two, We'll pray that it does. Carl & Marca
  11. Thanks to all the help we're getting, the new shop is taking shape. CdnDave helped out a lot with building a loft in the garage attached to the house, so that I would have permission to do some reno in the shop for better accommodations. Wizard765 has been very busy pulling wires from here to there and arguing with the owner,,,, usually the owner let;s him have his way. Son Allan came down to help out raising the loft 18" so it was more usable. No pictures, but Arnold, a freind, came down with a new insulated sectional door and installed it. All in all, a lot done so far. Thanks guys. Now that you found it, guess you're welcome anytime.
  12. Got a brown cover for you off an 83, all you need to do is pickit up or have someone deliver it,,,,,, mind you, if you to pick it up bring some handy tools with you and plan on staying for a day or two,,, lots of work, but not on shingles. Oh never mind,,, just come and pickit up, I even know where it is right now.
  13. Don't need to start a war here, but it's interesting to watch what people with alergies do with MSG,,, they avoid it like the plague. So it has an adverse effect on the human body. Strong bodies maybe be able to tolerate it, but weakened systems will be subject to it. Now, if tolerated then it may still have an effect on the body, and may somehow have other outcomes. Also there are also 2 kinds of MSG. The one is naturally occurring such as Hydrolized Plant Protein, and the other is it's chemical partner. The former can be found in a lot, if not all plants, and the later is man made. Many of my customers who have problems with the chemical version, have no problem with the naturally occurring type. Personally I stay away as much as I can from anything chemical, it's not easy, but the more you read, the more you'll try to stay away from altered stuff,,, especially that stuff that a lot of folks call coffee.
  14. NO problem here, will sure ask for the best outcome for you two. Thanks for asking. Carl
  15. Thanks Charlie, you've got some great folks up there. Not sure all the city folk would have done the same.
  16. Wow goose bumps,,, yes sir,,,,and it's not even my athem, You Americans are sure fortunate to have someone like that sing your song, stand behind what these little ones just told you in song, be strong, be brave and defend the poor, oppressed and fatherless, and don't let anyone, ever, never take that song away from you.
  17. Marca and I travel a lot, and mostly we find that at the end of the trip and the day our bed is always warm, ready and fits us like a glove. Sometimes though we have to sleep in some unknown, unplanned place of reclining, and then it's a hit and miss. Mostly though, we sleep very well and haven't had any broads in our bed.

  25. Best thing to do is to wash the whole engine down, and then keep a close eye on it to see where it all starts. Could be at the top, could be at the bottom, but with oil all over the place, unless you can find a clean 'oil run' spot, it's pretty hard to tell.
