on my bike :.....oil pressure runs to 60 at startup........stays around 38-40 at normal temp, in 5th gear at 65 mph indicated...it will go to 50psi -60 if i shift to 4th and hit the throttle...........at idle, around 5psi -
i 'll let someone else answer that.........i've had mine since day one, it's not bad and hasn't gotten better or worse...and the new basket is not a guaranteed fix...but i've read enough stories on this site to decide to give it a try......

Ride Like a Pro.. on a Venture?
jlh3rd replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
i don't know where the center of gravity is on the harley or the venture.......i do know that it was easier turning the harley and it weighs about 60 lbs, give or take ,less....the harley doesn't have water jackets, radiator, ..the venture is just a bigger bike.....and it gets "interesting" when you tight turn it... -
Ride Like a Pro.. on a Venture?
jlh3rd replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
i don't think there is a trick......you're right, the venture has a higher center of gravity and , because of that , it just takes more practise......the electra glide i had was a lot easier.....it weighed less also......i'm getting better with my venture......but , just like you, have the same feeling of going over........i think it just takes more practise....and because i don't wanna pay for dings and scrapes from letting the bike fall over......i take it slow with how far i go with my practise.... -
anyone know the load rating for these tires.....the website doesn't show anything

RSV and Gerbing Electric Jackets?
jlh3rd replied to Oldslow's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
i have 55w passing lamps, run/turn/brake lights ( incandescent ), and the upgraded stator.........when i run my heated vest, pants and gloves, with the passing lamps on,...i see about 12.5 volts....which means my battery isn't being charged...if i go to high beam, which turns off my passing lamps, i see about 13.2 volts........my guess is that you are probably ok, if your bike is stock......but if you research threads on this site, you'll see many comments about the stock charging system on these bikes.......you really need some type of meter to read the system while your running.....lots of threads on that topic also....... -
i wonder how the digital one would look mounted in the center of the faceplate with two other round gauges on each side on the gauge conversion for the gen 2.....
