  1. Let's see now, Goldwing - Royal Star? - Cushman. Hmmm You have all the base covered except crotch rocket. Where's the V-Max Bill.
  2. I'll make it unanimous. I'm a big guy and mine bottomed out way to easy. New progressive springs and no more problems. Next to Squidley's battery cables, about the best and easiest fix for a 1st gen.
  3. Sounds like a good Visa commercial. Glad to see you've not gotten old and grown up. Still fun to play with the kids, ain't it? :happy65:
  4. Very moving tribute. Thanks for posting it. Jim
  5. Better make that two cheesecakes. :rotf:
  6. No, when I saw the seat go for $360 and the stock tool kit over $80, (sold for $102) just thought ebay had it's full portion of buyers with big pockets and I just kinda slid off the scene. First time one goes for a decent price and I just walked away. SOMEONE PLEASE KICK ME !!! (Online only!!) :buttkick:
  7. Might want to look at doing that yourself. Two tone black/brown 1984 seat just sold for $360.00 on ebay.
  8. I had exactly the same thing happen on a 'wing I used to have. Without thinking, I laid a cloth that had chrome polish on the seat. The sticky NEVER went away. Had to keep it covered with a towel to keep from ruining every pair of pants I had. Like they said, Re-Upholster it.
  9. I agree with you.
  10. Thanks to all of you. Now all I have to do is take a deep breath and see what happens. Jim
  11. A guy has a front fender bumper listed on ebay and says it will fit both the 1200 and 1300 Venture Royale. I didn't think it would fit my '88. Can anyone confirm which models it will fit? Here is the item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=170235909733&rd=1 Thanks a lot.
  12. J.T. our prayers continue to be lifted up for you and your wife. May God comfort and strengthen you.
  13. Didn't see a picture of that on your site. You must have left out in the rain. It done shrunk on you ! ! !
  14. Really glad you two are okay. Deer and motorcycles definitely don't mix. It's obvious there was some "Heavenly" intervention when it was needed.
  15. Lowell have fun and make sure you make Allan H and Wild Bill buy the coffee. I'll see all of you at E.S. if not before.
  16. Dave, sorry to hear of your accident, but glad you came out alive and well. I can't help you with parts, but from reading some of the responses you will be taken care of. I've been on this site for almost three years and the members just continue to blow me away with their help and concern.
  17. Don't look fast enough to be a 1st gen. I think it says "Squidley" on his sweat shirt!!:whistling::rotf:
  18. Lesson learned. The next time I ride through a group of b-ball players, I'll be on the alert for an ugly moonwalking bear!! :rotf: :rotf:
  19. Welcome aboard. I too enjoyed the Ten Dumb Questions list. As you have already seen, get ready to get as well as you give. It's mostly light hearted fun with a bunch of nuts.:rotf:
  20. Lowell, you better fill us in on your new scoot. Some old guy on a strange bike shows up at my house and my sweet little wife might reach for the gun instead of the welcome mat!! :rotf:
  21. Good luck with bleeding it. Sometimes everything is quick and easy. Sometimes not!! I almost used the hole bottle of fluid before I got a good lever pressure. Just be patient. I'm sure someone on this site will have a good method for doing it though.
  22. I was just looking at it too. Click on the first picture of the GPS mounted and it will enlarge the picture for you. It looks like he made a mount out of flat bar and a couple of bolts. I hope that's right.
  23. There was one on ebay this morning. Better look quick because they don't come up often.
  24. Huh??? :confused24:
