TCI Problems
Ozlander replied to Dragonslayer's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Gary, I rode a couple of hundred miles Sunday in 90* weather with no problems. I thought I saw the tach needle flicker one time, but it could have been my glasses and I wasn't really looking. Mine is mounted in the original location and with the air dams in place. I didn't have any problems with the old TCI, so I think the coils and other associated parts are good. -
Whenever I see somebody that looks like they don't see me and getting ready to pull out, I give them the HI beam long before I get to them.

brake pedal wont come back up!
Ozlander replied to reddevilmedic's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Mine got to doing that, so I fixed it. It has stayed fixed. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c33/Ozlander/P4150365.jpg -
Here's the one I built back in '89. It's built as a receiver hitch, just remove the forward bolt. Except that I have never had a reason the remove the shank. Pulled a KwikKamp trailer 20,000 miles with it. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c33/Ozlander/P4150359.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c33/Ozlander/P4150361.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c33/Ozlander/P4150364.jpg

The Markland's mount to the saddlebag frame. If you happened to hit something that twisted the mount, you could screw up your bags big time. Mine mounts to the main frame.

When you tested it, did you use the jumper harness that you sent with the kit? Ot when you retested it?
-
You mean you have to take it out of the box or something. I thought it was magic somehow.

Yeah, if you're going to sleep walk nakid at 3 am, try not to scare anybody. On the other hand, some of the people on here would be real scary naked at 3 AM.

Money sent. Get well soon. Don't need the trailer.
-
I do and drive off of it. You've got to be ready to go.
