I didn't win the lottery again tonight. But I was shopping for my new vehicle just in case. IF you won the lottery tomorrow What vehicle would you buy for everyday use. I was looking at a F450 King Ranch for 67k. http://images.loqu.com/contents/162/626/image/2009-05-15/3.jpg Didn't wanna go quite this far with a F650. Be kinda hard to park all the time. http://www.f650pickups.com/mmb.jpg

Backing up systems is a science all its own. Larger corps have teams that do nothing but backup because of its complexity and importance in recovery. For simple backups I like Acronis. Has most everything I need. If your going to be backing up servers or multiple systems you'll need bigger and more expensive software/hardware/tapes/disks/. From what I have read this should work just fine for you.You won't need to use the Online since you don't have a connection http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ In case of an HD failure you could even restore a clone of the drive to a new drive and be back up and running in a couple of hours.

The first gens are sensitive to any airbox modifications. Check to see that it hasn't had any holes drilled in it and the lid is seating right. What color are your plugs ?

Question concerning second gens vs first gens
BuddyRich replied to Chaharly's topic in Watering Hole
The handling of a bike is 70% rider skill and 30% bike. Anybody can ride a bike. But riding it to it full potential requires skills most of us don't have. Only racers have that edge. As Charlie said your comparing apples to oranges, they just happen to have a core that's the same. EVERYTHING else about the bikes is different all the way down to the tire size. -
Jack, Theres no such thing as a teenager proof phone..... :rotf:

Tank Venting Update?
BuddyRich replied to Cougar's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Just use a punch and a dead blow hammer or rubber hammer. Both have a rubber/plastic head so you won't get any sparks. I used a dead blow hammer. DON'T DRILL... Pieces of metal will drop into the tank and the heat from the bit may cause problems...... -
Already have a couple. Will probably add to them later.

NHTSA Requests Feedback on Amber Turn Signals
BuddyRich replied to Owen's topic in Safety and Education
That's also the reason that traffic signals are arranged the way they are. Red is always the top one and so on. If horizontal then the red is always all the way to the left. I have read where some contries are beginning to use different shapes for the lights to assist those who are color blind. -
Spam is one of our biggest problems. I read somewhere that 90% of all email is spam and more than 2 % of all internet traffic is spam. Check your logs, Some are always going to get thru. We use a Barracuda 300 here and out of the 28000 or more that hit on a daily basis, 6 or 7 will get thru to each user of the 200 users. If your only getting 6 or 7 a day that may not be so bad.

Could never guess what you do/did for a living. Always measuring something by how deep a nightstick will go. :rotf:

Prayers said. I have the same problem and they the doc wants to do the same thing. I know that pain for sure. Last visit I got an injection that seems to be helping for now.

I also carry the basic car radial tire plug tools and as Kent called it, sticky rope. They are like 6 in a pack. Plus a large can of Fix a Flat. Used it a couple of times and it holds well. One time I even put 3k more on the rear before changing it out finally.

Airport Express
BuddyRich replied to Freebird's topic in Computer help and tips for using this site.
Yep, Get rid of the wires. Its just easier. We actually run a complete business on a wireless ISP. No problems and we get 7mbps for around 500 a month. Then run a couple of Cisco Aironets inside. Some day all the wires will be gone and only wireless and fiber will be left. -
Hope he's not sending the "mechanic" who worked on it last time. Anybody that strips multiple bolts like that should not be allowed to touch a wrench.

I had the Commanders. Took them off before they were half worn. They are a noisy tire in the turns. Went back to the Avons. Best tire for the 2nd gens as far as I'm concerned
