  1. I believe your peg clamp is toast, a goner, cahpoot. i have tried mending stuff like that. i quit trying as it never worked. i have a similar problem, my left handlebar grip broke. can't buy just one.
  2. looks like a good was had by all. saw some ventures in there, too.
  3. seems like a lot of folks are puttin what they like rather than polling what riders in different styles like and what is selling. then do a report. inputting bias from one's own like is commentary not market ananlysis
  4. :rotf:
  5. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ and you do this for how many miles?
  6. if the wife has any sewing abilities, you can put a pocket in any jacket. like a riding jacket. you can also an alteration person if the wife/significan other doesn't sew. depending on states law, make sure your heat doesn't print on the outside. about the only thing Louisiana is a stickler for is accuracy, don't miss what ever ya do.
  7. try the small tank bag that doubles as the fanny pak. there is a compartment for heat. just saw one on ebay. that reminds me. i have a tank bag on my watch list i need to check. later. also the tank bag that is a small back pack with heat compartment. I am a springfield TRP man myself. i use thunderwear.
  8. why don't all you folks in that area meet the coming sunday afternoon for coffe flavored ice cream? say about 3:30 PM? someone needs to bring the insulin!
  9. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ man, i have done that just to check something i did to the bike. up the road and back. i felt naked with out my gear. i used to ride a rocket dressed like that with FF helmet. it was fun, i have to admit. i hope you always stay safe.
  10. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ yah, right! they were haulin azz goin sum place not so special and really had all night to get there. If they cared, they wooda stopped at the stop sign.
  11. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In (RLAP) ride like a pro 5, there is a RS venture in the latter part of the video doing the manuevers along with other touring bikes. before i watched RLAP video, i did a lot of slow manuever practiceing based on what i could find on the internet. I felt the same way alot of folks do when first starting to ride these bikes. i got pretty good at it. then i watched RLAP. since then i have gotten MUCH better using some back brake and the friction zone. I will be take the RLAP Houston, Tx soon and hope to be in the top riders soon. I have a 29 inch inseam. the previous owner had lowered the back and front so i sit flat footed with a pillow top seat on an 04 RSV. It takes time and with time, you build up some leg and arm muscle that help in driving these bikes.
  12. sorry, kyle, i don't know much about those. while i do have a gas gauge on my 04 RSV, i do know about how many miles i get to the tank and use my trip odometer, it is closer than my gauge. I don't know if u have trip odo, but you can always upgrade.

  14. congratulations, Annie. Let's keep the good news rolling. glad to hear it.
  15. i don't like poor and untimely responses either. i had a similar situation where an article was discounted a week or so after i had made a purchase. i made an inquiry about it and was told nicely there was too much time in between, but my business was appreciated and given a 10 % off coupon to use for future purchases. that is what i believe service is about. treating the customer for who we are - the people who create the profit base that keeps the store open. it is such as simple concept - kind of like stopping at a red light.
  16. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ try again. is there a save button?
  17. that would help as i have had to go the profile to find out what the bike is. sometimes i have input correctly and sometimes i added comments to the wrong area. so for anyone who remembers a post of mine and saying "what is that guy talking about!" well, now you know. i think our bike is listed correctly, but i will double check. great note for us.
  18. got to watch that junk and spam box. i have no filter on my email. i move it around manually.
  19. they must have a bunch of stuff to have those boots. either that or harley is moving a lot of material everywhere to get word out and have walking advertisements.
  20. are there 2 kinds of lined chaps? 1. lined with a material that makes it easy to put on & take off? 2. lined with a quilty material that keeps you warm when it is cold outside? is there a 3rd kind that has a removable warm weather liner?
  21. did it run this way before u replaced the diaphragms? if not, check your work. may be self inflicted. just one of the many possibilities.
  22. Congratulations on the new ride. I kept waiting to read about a car tire you found or something like that. but noooooo. you had to get a new ride. and a deal upon that. enjoy the ride. you will get many answers on what is the best breakin method. since it is a demonstrator, that may mostly be done. and done in the way several folks here would say. how many miles does it have on it currently?
  23. i agree in that i am aware of the risks and don't ride in fear. i wear gear cause of choices made by someone other than me. the action of one trickles through life to affect many others. i have my wife, 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, brother and sisters and my Dad that would be effected if something were to happen to me while riding. some gear is good insurance for us and is easy. Don't get me wrong, i have driven a crotch rocket in a T shirt, jeans and tennis shoes with my g/f on the back. it was fun and a good time. I have more at stake these days and with that realization, I choose to ride differently. We each are our own captain when we hop on the scooter, so ride as you will. thanks for listening to my side. please post yours so i can read how you ride.
  24. Ditto to all posts, Herb. Prayers have been sent to watch your son as he watches others.
