  1. It is an aftermarket TCI for the 1st gens. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66281 Gary
  2. One mirror hole in master housing is regular right hand thread (clutch side), other is a left hand thread (brake side). On the 1st gens, not sure about 2nd gens. Most mirrors I have seen, have a indentation running around the jamb nut at its mid point for the left hand threads. Gary
  3. I sent Ignitech an email last night about this. This will be a drawn out process working with them. Gary
  4. Try loosening the fork brace, it may help. Gary
  5. George, Do you have an Ignitech TCI ? Gary
  6. If he does upgrade to a diaphragm clutch from an MKII, the clutch case cover has to be replaced with an MKII as well. Clutch stackup is longer and MKI case won't work. Gary
  7. I will contact Ignitech tonight. Gary
  8. The picture attached shows the bleeder screw with the stator cover & middle drive covers removed. It follows a path where the blue cable is running. Rubber flap is situated just above the bleeder screw to the left of the cover. This central 'shaft' is not sealed at all. The rubber flap is just a dust cover. Gary
  9. It is a cover to the clutch bleeder screw. Under it, it is wide open through the bottom. Won't hurt to get water in there. Gary
  10. Remove the one screw at the bottom of the reservoir, this will free it up. Remove brake line banjo bolts. Then remove the 2 screws holding master in and it should fall out. Gary
  11. Any estimate of RPM at the time. Gary
  12. Did you notice at any point the tach dropping out or the engine cutting out? Gary
  13. I have never seen a set of those. Gary
  14. Pictures of valve I mentioned in your PM Not in a logical order though. Gary
  15. All of the bolts that mount a brake line to a caliper or master or splitter are called a banjo bolt. They have a hole down the center line and then a cross hole where the brake line attaches. If there are 2 brake lines on one point, there will be 2 cross drilled holes. Gary
  16. This guy never does these with a buy it now, always an auction. I was only bidder on mine, so whatever opening bid was. I farmed out putting these on sliders to Earl. That's only the 2nd thing that anyone has done on my bike except for me, not counting tire mounts though. Other was machine work on block. 3rd will be front brake brackets when I get them. Gary
  17. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-CARB-SLIDE-DIAPHRAGM-4PCS-YAMAHA-VMX12-XVZ12-XVZ13-VENTURE-ROYAL-VMAX-/280865187934?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item4164dea85e Gary
  18. Call me crazy, but I don't think there is a bracket to mount Harley pipes to a Venture on someones store shelf. I think this may be a McGyver type project. Gary
  19. I just put these in. I don't have a clue where to tell you to get them. I was at a local electronics scrapper, and I found what appeared to be a computer monitor speaker setup. The grilles looked to be a promising size, so it went home for $5. I reworked grilles somewhat and used mounting plate for a drill template. I placed a thin piece of a baggie over them and captured it under speaker mounts. The speakers sounded good on my garage stereo, so they should be adequate on scooter. I have an aftermarket 4 channel stereo in bike to power them. Gary
  20. The 86-93 Ventures have an offset rotor design. I think you are going to be very limited in what is available other than OEM. I have a complete rear brake set for an MKII. Rotor, caliper, master cylinder, brake arm & S.S. line available. All are in excellent shape. Proportioning valve will need the internal valve from old valve put in it. It was removed due to this setup was delinked brakes. Master was rebuilt & calipers have new seals in them. Pads are kevlar organics, good shape. $250 plus actual shipping costs. Gary
  21. Attached are a couple of pictures of the inside of the tilt sensor. When bike is upright to about 45 deg the brass washer rides on the arced bar (4th picture). Infinite ohms between leads. It triggers the cutout circuit when it contacts either of the angled brass plates (3rd picture). 0 or close to 0 ohm reading Once again, this one is from a 1st gen, which does not have the same P/N as a 2nd gen. Gary
  22. Is this what you are looking for? See attached picture, item #2. Looks like 2nd picture on a real Venture (1st Gen) Then while you are at it try this thread. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=58880 Gary
  23. Other box you found is probably the cruise control module. It has more wires than the 41R. Gary
  24. It is two relays plus the turn signal canceling unit. You possibly could add a standard flasher, with some wiring changes. Have you disassembled & cleaned the turn signal switch ? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=42721 Gary
