  1. A bicycle doesn't weigh near as much as a car and I can't concieve one doing any damage to a road. I would say more but it would be political.
  2. If you ride the main drag when its busy your clutch hand will be wore out. Ride over to Hwy 125 and go south . At the Ar border the hwy runs into a lake and there is a free ferry. Work your way over to Harrison and then come back North on 65. Any of the Ar hwys coming north from I40 in the middle to the west part of the state are great rides. Hwy 125 north to I44 isn't a bad ride either. Hwy 125 south is considered Missouri's Tail of the Dragon. It passes through a wilderness area where you wont see many houses or traffic. The road is very curvy and the last time I rode it was in pretty good shape. Getting over to 125 is a pretty ride to.
  3. I always liked the series but they sure screwed up the movie.
  4. Is the tractor 40 years old too? If it is it looks good for it's age.
  5. When I saw the title to this thread I wasn't going to look at it because I thought it was an old thread but then I noticed the date. I'm pretty sure I have seen the same title before.
  6. My main hobby besides motorcycles is playing basketball. In the past I have also been involved in billiards and shooting but the local pool hall closed and shooting oppurtunities disappeared.
  7. I don't understand why your 2007 is going into it's third battery already. I am still using my second battery on a 2002.
  8. He must have not been going very fast. He didn't bounce down the road very far.
  9. I used to be a cable lineman and have climbed 500' towers but there is something about watching videos like that that get to my stomach. Or maybe it's because I'm in my 50s now instead of my 20s.
  10. One of my favorite nephews is in Afghanistan right now and I fully support a disabled vet getting what he should. That being said I play basketball every week through the winter with a 60 year old Vietnam vet that has been drawing a disability check for his knee ever since he got out. I also used to lift weights with a Vietnam era vet that drew full disability and the only thing that I could ever figure out was wrong with him was he was an *******.
  11. I have used an online store called boats.net to buy parts in the past. Since I haven't had many problems so not all that often but they have good prices. They are a boat place but they can sell motorcycle parts because they are a Yamaha dealer. I recieved an email from them that they have established a sister website dedicated to powersports. Here is a link to that site. http://www.powersportsplus.com/?utm_source=boatsnet-customer&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=meet-our-sister They will give an extra 15% off for a while. The code is MEETSISTER.
  12. The little bit of leaking probably has the coolant level down. You can't just look at the overflow tank. You have to take off the gas tank and check the level in the radiator.
  13. You agreed to buy at that price and then after the fact complained about the shipping. Never mind. I'm not going to say anything.
  14. I asked my agent about riding passengers once because I was riding my wifes cousin sometimes. My agent said that the passenger was assuming some of the risk just by volunteering to get on the bike. I would have to do something really negligent before my insurance would cover her.
  15. The rumor on the Northwest Arkansas part of Advriders is that Cycle Gadgets is closing down. This link is to what they have left and are selling on Ebay http://shop.ebay.com/cyclegadgets/m....1.c0.m14.l1514
  16. Must be kin to the TSA.
  17. I went by the dealer in Blue Springs, Mo where I bought my Venture over the holidays and noticed they had closed up to.
  18. I think that was the plot for a Reba Mckintire movie I watched a while back.
  19. It sounded like he spun out but those ramps usually have real good traction. I wonder if he got scared and pulled in on the clutch.
  20. I used it once on the screw that held the knob on one of my Delta faucets. It cracked up in pretty short order. I try to avoid getting it close to any plastic anymore.
  21. I have a Garmin 60 CSX. It is small and designed for off road use, It is popular with Adventure riders because you can map out the route you want to ride in a program called Mapsource. When I bought mine they where very expensive but they are being phased out for a another model so I have heard of them being sold various places much more reasonably. The worst part is you have to spend another chunk of money for a map to install in them. The great part is that by using waypoints you get to tell it where you want to go. They are hard to follow in big cities but work great in rural scenic areas. I have a mount on my Venture for it and my old Tomtom. The old cheap Tomtom is easier to follow in a city. I use the Garmin by itself on The DR650. I create my routes on my netbook for each days trip when I am traveling and not just on one of those rides wher I don't know where I am going at the next intersection.
  22. I have been fed up with the proliferation of reality shows for a long time. Saying that one of my favorites is Pawn Stars. Also Big Bang and 2 1/2 Men. Seems like a lot of the time we end up on Tvland watching some show from the 60s.
  23. If that 99 Regal doesn't have anything wrong with it,it will probably get 30mpg.
  24. I had one of the seals that are under the fake fins start leaking one time. Possibly with the cold one of yours has shrunk and gotten harder and is leaking. I put a couple of layers of electrical tape on the fake fin cover to put extra pressure on the seal and that stopped the leak. I have new seals stored somewhere for the day when it starts leaking again.
