Terrible service mobile alabama!!!!!!
midnightventure replied to TearlessTom's topic in Watering Hole
If they had the bike for three months the gas isn't as good as it was and the carbs could have plugged up. -
That was the first new bike I ever had. And yes the valves are easy to adjust.

AMA members select America's 15 best motorcycling roads
midnightventure replied to Michael_Bishop's topic in Watering Hole
There aren't any Arkansas roads on there. I have ridden a lot of route 66 through Mo and for scenery Rt 66 doesn't compare to the roads on the list that I have ridden or driven or most roads in NW Arkansas.- 22 replies

Getting dizzy reading about mesh jackets.
midnightventure replied to Snaggletooth's topic in Watering Hole
Joe Rocket mesh for me to. I have a pair of mesh pants too. Put them on over my shorts and then when I get to work take them off and work in shorts. -
I am a big pro gun person but if you seriously thought about shooting someone over this you need to quit carrying.

Google Petet Jean Mountain. Then go into Google Earth and just look over Ark. They have little flags that are actually pictures. Any place you see lots of pictures will be very scenic. A lot of the scenic areas are easier to get to on a dual sport type bike. Petet Jean is very accesible though. Be sure to look at the legend of Petet Jean. From Petet Jean any where northwest will be scenic.

I went the physical therapy route. The therapist taught me exercises that helped a lot but when the pain went away I would get lazy until it came back. About 7 years ago I joined a gym and have been maintaining a routine that keeps my core strong. I haven't had the debillitating pain since.

I have a 2002 Midnight Venture with 89000 miles. Yamaha replaced my rear shock and cruise control under warranty. The bike is still very solid and I intend to ride it at least another 100000 miles.

So, a man walks into the service department...
midnightventure replied to Dave77459's topic in Watering Hole
This is why everybody needs at least one extra bike so they don't need to miss any riding. -
I believe Charley ( like me) has a dual sport. Lifting the front end especially when going from first to second just happens sometimes. They aren't going to go up high but they definitely come up.

ford ranger injector cleaning question

I don't believe clogged catalytic converters are much of a problem now days. -
I am waiting on the Lithiums too. They should hold a charge a lot longer and be lighter than a conventional battery. As far as coventional batteries go I have gotten almost 5years each from Yuasa batteries.

He probably didn't know you where racing him. Trying to claim that you outran one of the fastest bikes in the world with a cruiser. I once had a Honda Civic pull up beside me when I was in my Trans Am and rev its engine and then take off. It was in an area I had previously gotten a ticket so he probably goes around telling people about beating a Trans Am when I never even punched it. No nerve or knowledge or maybe a little more common sense.
-
You have to be kidding. Most of these cruiser riders don't have a clue what real speed is. Or real stopping power. Always wanting to think that just because their bike can outrun an old Harley its the best in the land when there are lots of bikes that will make it look like its sitting still.

A lot of basements have radiation narurally occurring. The real story is all the death and suffering and all the news people want to talk about is the nuclear problem because they have a hidden agenda.

Most of us mid westerners of a certain age were exposed to a lot more than will show up from Japan because when we were kids they tested atomic bombs above ground in Nevada.

I bought a Dr650 dual sport about 3 years ago for running to the store and not having to get the Venture out. This thing is a ton of fun. I have ridden it 400 miles down and around in Ar. in one day. It handles the twisties great and then when you get to the end of pavement you just keep going. About 95 for a top speed but it gets there pretty quick.

Back in the day of carburators I drove a cable tv van that had propane installed on it when it had about 90000 miles on it. Had to start it on gas every day and then switch to propane. This was back when engines weren't as tight and you expected to use a qt of oil between changes. After the propane conversion the oil never got dirty. Didn't quite have as much power.
