My Yamaha Stryker before modifications and after. and the Venture on the day I bought it. Wife and I decided we needed a Tourer so we picked up the Venture and the Stryker will be getting another face lift and become a solo bike for shows and my therapy time alone.

We are in Orlando with my daughter her hubby and two kids, yesterday we did Universal Islands of Adventure and today we are going to Wet N Wild, went there with daughter and her brother when they were kids, but this place is 10 times bigger now than it was in 1983. I didnt care too much for all the waiting at Universal, raining on and off, but we did leave before the monsoon hit. Looking forward to the water slides. Rain is forecast for every day, and so far it has..........and I did get my cycle therapy at Universal.

I just got back from the doctor for lower back--left leg pain with referrals for the surgion and the therapist, take my choice. Has anyone out there had experience with back surgury or the therapy, and what was the results. Were you happy or just a waste of time. Any feeback would really be appreciated! Thanks!!!

Got my chrome all on, added another light and had her all shinned up for Sunday. But Sunday did not live up to its name and it was wet and cold. But today the sun came out and even tho I had to putt 4 miles of dirt road to get to pavement- cuz theres a bad bad mudhole my usual 1/2 mile to the pavement, I was able to get some wind in my face. First ride of the year and she felt good, bike felt strong and im excited for summer!

Went to surgeon today to get the staples taken out of my back. Have to ware the back brace for 11 more weeks then go back in for x-rays to see if everything Ok. Then start physical therapy if all is fused properly. No quick fix.

Not too long ago, a Sunday drive of a couple of hundred miles with a stop for a meal was about $25 or less. Now I am looking at a lot more than that. It may get to the point that the random rides that we now use as therapy may get fewer and farther between. What used to be a cheap form of entertainment is no longer that way and is getting worse. It is easy to justify using the bike for the needed transportation such as commuting back an forth to work. But, how about those times we hit the road just to ride, with no particular destination? Are we now being irresponsible with our resources just to get out and ride? RandyA
