I hope there are some trailer experts out there. I don't profess to be any such thing. I need to get a trailer to haul a Polaris Ranger 6X6 that will weigh in at about 2500lbs. What are some thoughts on the proper tailer. Would a single axle with a 2990lb GVWR and a 3500lb axle work for this or should I move up to a tandem axle? Application: Polaris Ranger 6x6 weighing 1410lbs with a 'slide-in' firefighting unit weighing 935lbs, wet. Total combined weight of unit - 2345lbs. Thoughts please...

Had a little oopsie today and cracked the swivel part of the mirror. The base is still good and no other damage to the bike. Had a quick search on eBay and did not find any for sale. Found a few old threads referring to tapping the base for aftermarket MC mirrors or perhaps using Ford Ranger mirrors, 91 or earlier I think. Anyone done either of these mods? Only 14 days before I need to leave for Cody and I'm having a panic attack.

i have a 2003 ranger with 106,000 miles, 3 liter v-6. i think the converter is clogged. sears says it's not the converter, it needs to have the fuel system cleaned. it runs great but does'nt seem to have the power it once had. and it has a roaring sound when it gets over 2500 rpm, like it is laboring. could sears be right. they get $150.00 for a complete fuel system cleaning. question is does this really work or is it a waste of money?

i bought new autolite platinum plugs for my ranger today. the old plugs have 97,000 mi. on them. it is a 3 litre v-6. the plugs are easy to get to from above , but i hear all kinds of horror stories about breaking plugs off removing the old ones. is this a major issue to worry about? the heads are cast iron. i haven't changed plugs in a vehical in many years.

I went and did it. Jeff took me to the Ford dealer and I got a 2010 Ranger Sport 4 WD. It's a pretty blue. I know you guys don't care about the pretty color the ladies will though. So now I'm in debt. Not too bad though I got a 36 month 0% interest loan. I'll post pics tomorrow in the daylight. Jeff tried to take pics tonight but it's too dark out. Jeff said I'm like Black Owl now I have a venture ranger. Margaret

One of our members, RoyalStarjac, has volunteered to lead a ride on Friday eveing to a free concert series. So we will be enjoying some live music on Friday nite , beats sitting in the cabin with nothing to do.................of course I dont think anybody had that problem last time...to bad the park ranger had to spoil it for us. https://www.folkschool.org/event.php...=1&event_id=92

Due to current discounting, I am considering buying a Ford Ranger XL small pickup truck. As to the Engine, 2.3L I4, and the transmissions installed in those vehicals. ?? Also, considering buying a trailer, for hauling the bike south to Calif. to gain a few more months of good rideing weather each year. OK. I'm open to any and all comments concerning the Ford Ranger Truck, as to engine reliability, etc etc etc. -- Tear it appart for me if you have any information !!!

Well, a few of us got to finally see Black Owl's Ranger!!! Thanks to Bryan we had a great time at the Iowa Meet n Eat!! It's nice to put names to faces! Also a big thanks to Black Owl for the guardian bell! I can't wait to put it on the Virago!!! Pix have been posted on the Iowa meet n eat thread. I'm so proud of myself....I even managed to stay out of trouble!!!
