I have a few weeks off in combination with the International and am looking for feedback and suggestions. This is a first draft of a route so it is really rough. Basic plan is leave the International on Thursday and stay at a Cousin's in Webster MA for a night or two (Friday or Saturday arrival). Towards the end of the route we'll stay at my brother's in Griffith Ontario. Other than that... route is wide open. Thinking minimum 8 days (plus couple nights in Webster, one or two nights at my brother's). Maximum 14 days (give or take bad weather days). Looking for suggestions on route and things to see. Planning on tenting it so will be looking for camp grounds along the route figuring 500km (300 miles) per day. Bad weather days will stay in a motel for comfort (and shower). What is the diameter of the handle bars on my 86? I'm looking at aftermarket grips and not sure which ones to get. Suggestions are warmly welcomed Brian

Hey guys I've got my 99 RSV all apart and I am ready to get it painted. I live in Hickory NC and am looking for someone who would do a good job at a reasonable price. Any suggestions? Also, what in you opinion is a reasonable price to have all the parts painted from a RSV [front fairing, lower fairings, tank, side covers,fenders and saddlebags(not doing the tour pack)]. I want everything sanded and painted back in only one color. So a little help on pricing and any painter suggestions will be appreciated! Pics will follow afterwards.......

I want to put convex mirrors on the top outside corner of the OEM mirrors. I"m thinking the 2 inch convex might be too big but I haven't been able to find anything smaller. For a 1st Gen Mk II Any suggestions? I'd suggest it is so I can keep an eye on the 2nd gens behind me...but I am looking for help here so I guess I'd better not.

Recently my 05 RSV has taken on the habit of blowing the headlight fuse whenever I switch to high beam. I was hoping some of you guys could give me some suggestions as to where to start. Thanks for your help. You guys are a weath of knowledge.

I have a friend that has an 1100 V Star Classic that wants to change his exhaust to get a little better sound. What will he have to do with his fuel system to make this change? I do not know anything about this bike but would like to provide him with some suggestions...

Okkay.....how many out there want to risk their lives riding besides me saturday to Brant for the "Marcarl Meet and Greet and Tell Lies" gathering? Ray has volunteered, so far. All are welcome from near and far...yes, you too, Relic....last time i forgot to mention Relic, had to hear from the , BradT. Thinking of leaving around 9 am, but am open to suggestions. C'mon people...start posting and making suggestions or your intentions. People that come to mind from around here are, Gambler, Trader, Rev'n Ahead of Cavan, Bruno ( The Hat), Dogman, Evan, Ben..if he is done with his breakfast when we get to his place, and Midicat can meet us there too. Who am i forgetting? Excuse me if i have...you will know what i am going through when you get to be may age.

Here we go....... Looking at tires for my 07 Venture. Currently have the original tires with 14,255 miles on them. Rear is ready to be replaced. Going to replace the front only because it's 5 years old. Here's my questions..... I have read about someone with a Michelin Commander || on the rear. What would be suggestions for the front? Michelin does not make a front tire for the Venture. I haven't had any problems with the Dunlop 404's which are what's on the bike now. Also, the member that has the Michelin Commander ||, has it on a first gen. As far as the riding I do? Mostly highway and around town. Don't have many twisties around Joliet but would like a set of tires that would be good for that when I get the opportunity. The Venoms were discontinued and I know I have read a lot about people using those. Just not sure if I should stick with what I have, or go to something different. I'm kind of one of those that figures if it's not broke, don't fix it. Anybody's thought or suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks for putting up with me babbling. Kevin

Hi Guys! I have a 1980 Honda CB 750K which has an pretty old throttle-lock on it that I would like to replace with a more recent made, better quality one. Does anyone have any suggestions for one that isn't too pricey but which is pretty good quality? The attached pictures are what my current one looks like. Thanks for any suggestions! Be Safe! Pete

I am looking for an Air equalization kit for my front forks, Progressive doesnt offer these kits any longer.....Does any one have any suggestions as to WHERE they are available? I have a 07 RSTD...Thanks

Looking to replace the aluminum boards. For sure the passenger ones that look like crap with all the other chrome...then do the drivers to match. Any suggestions? Don't want to have to change the mounting hardware. Needs to be durable too. -
I'm getting ready to reassemble the cases on my 1st gen and have a question about using the Yamabond #4, Would I spread a thin layer of the sealant on just one of the case halves? I can see about 95% of this stuff squeezing out on the machined surfaces when the bolts are torqued. I noted that the service manual states to keep sealant at least 2mm away from bearings. Any suggestions here?

My son and I are working on a car convention for Minnesota this July. Host hotel is in St. Cloud, and we are looking for great driving roads and motor enthusiast attractions in the area. Restaurant suggestions are also wanted. We are renting Brainerd, so if you or others you know would be interested in a track day (sorry, cars only) contact me. As for now, Bob and Becky are planning on being in Johnson City, Tn this Thursday evening around 7PM. We hope to get some of the locals and anyone else that would like to meet up for a get together and have a visit and a meal. The location has not been picked yet and am open for suggestions. The wife and I are planning a 10 or 11 day ride from the Washington DC area to New Orleans and back the end of May and could use some advice\suggestions on routes and things to do while there. We've never been down that way before. All we have decided so far is to head from home to the north end of the Blue Ridge Pkwy, taking approximately 2 days to ride to the southern end. We will then either take a quick lap on the Dragon (been there done that, as a passenger the wife finds it boring) or the Cherohala. From here we haven't decided anything. Suggestions on an interesting route from the Dragon\Cherohala area on down to New Orleans would be most appreciated. Also, suggestions on things to see and do while there along with best places to stay would be great. Thanks very much in advance for your thoughts. Cheers, Dan

Want to connect my laptop that has a VGA, USB, hdmi, and maybe a FireWire ports. My tv is older in that is has s-video and RCA jacks. I can't seem to be able to find a cable anywhere. Suggestions?

I've been runing Trend anti-virus for over 15 years and have been very happy with the results, but..... this year after I renewed on my machine and tried to install it on the family laptop (they allow 3 installs) I have run into a ton of user unfriendly snags and wasted more time that I want to admit.. I've had it!! So toss some suggestions at me... The laptop came with Nortons but I erased it per trend requirements before trying to install trend. Now I wish I hadn't, but that's life in the fast lane.... Is anyone just using MS Security Essentials??

My Venture '86 Royale cruise control is acting up. While on the highway I set it on and five seconds later it disengages itself. Any suggestions? -
I purchased my 89VR (26500 miles now) a little over a year ago and the previous owner said the cruise control was made inoperable at the shop because he heard of a friend that got in an accident due to using the cruise control, so he said. I have no reason not to believe the reason. I would like to make it useable again. I share this thinking that one may proceed in a different manor than if it just malfunctioned. Your suggestions would be helpful if I could receive help from the simple to the more complex. On the road I press the cruise button on and it lights up green. Then I set the cruise and nothing. I have used the cruise on a 91VR, so I have some operation knowledge. Suggestions welcome. Thanks. -
Just bought an 08 RSTD last Sunday, So far so good love the bike. got a buddy has an 06 model. Are there any major differences in the two model years ? Now I need to research tires as well as I dont like the Bridgestones on it ? Suggestions?

we are in michigan for the weekend and twice yesterday a vacuum built up in the gas tank and the bike quit while going down the road. I pulled the rubber vent hose off the top of the tank and blew through it and it is not plugged. trying to blow through the nipple on the top of the tank does not seem to be letting air in but the hole is very small. I can't say for sure if it is plugged and can't find anything small enough to push through the hole. any suggestions. got lucky yestday and the bike did not shut off going down 75. if anyone has any suggestions on how to check the vent let me know.
