1. Thank you so much! Eck. I just picked up that one. I will do it asap on my wing. Rud Rudy
2. I didn't have any idea as how it works. I'm going to try that special lubricant. Thanks again. Rudy
3. My speedometer cable fell off with out warning. I replaced it with a new one, now I can see the speed needle working right, BUT the odometer doesn't work! and I thought it was the same mechanism. I appreciate any input,. Rudy:)
4. Don, thank you so much. I'm eagerly waiting for my three bells now and of course knowing how much it is, pay pal is ready. Rodolfo:cool10:
5. Hi guys: Light installed, thank you so much, followed your instructions, yellow wire is the stop light. Pics. As for the switch, no problem. I'm going to look for that post on how to service it. Thanks again.
6. Thank you so much. I will make connections and report results. The switch will be great! (Hope you find it) Rudy
7. I'm connecting a Stop LED Light to my '86 Venture, my problem is I don't know what wires to connect to. The new light comes with just two wires, black and white/black and the wires coming from the bike to the housing lights comes with three wires yellow, blue and black. Could somebody please tell me what wire colors to match with? Enclosed pics. The last picture is my clutch switch in need of repair. I know the part number to replace it (thanks to this forum) but the places I've called tell me it is no longer available. Anyone knows where I can get it? Thank you so much. 8. WOW! This is much more than what was expecting, and you have not even started. Thanks again, I'm looking fordward to read an re-read the entire thread. Rudy
9. Oh, I am so interested in reading it, I have a Venture too and a BMW, I can take any bike for a long distance ride. Apart from the normal nerves and fear of traveling solo, I need to know what to do, how to plan, prepare, take, etc. At my young age of 63, I'm just waiting for the opportunity to take my first long distance trip, say California? Rudy:fingers-crossed-emo Willing, able and ready. Thank you so much
10. Thank you, thank you. My plan B was going to install progressive shocks, glad I postponed that.
11. Since I joined this forum in 2010 I have done a bunch of repairs, just following the instructions you kindly. knowledgeable, experienced guys have posted. This afternoon, in less than two hours I just fixed the Class E4 Error by following the instructions posted by Freebird back in 2006. (And I'm not that good wrencher at all, some times I prefer no to start some repairs afraid of not finished them and compromised my weekly Saturday rides with my buddies) I'm so excited I can hardly wait to tell my friends about it. (I mentioned last Saturday and one of them suggest to forget about the compressor and replace it with progressive shock springs, that what he did on his) Well, I'm so glad I did it :) Thank you so much. Rudy:cool10:
12. Holding the lever out the cruise stays longer. Now the switch, could you tell me where it is? please. Rudy
13. Thank you, I will start with the clutch holding the lever fully out... then the switch... I'll post report:fingers-crossed-emo
14. My Venture '86 Royale cruise control is acting up. While on the highway I set it on and five seconds later it disengages itself. Any suggestions?
