Hi All, After purchasing the Ed-set intercom set up and the Mic-mutes stupid me found I don't have the factory CB installed on my bike :bang head: I contacted Bill Morphy by email and asked for advice, and he has suggested a way to still hook up the mic-mutes to the system. I need to purchase rider and passenger "push to talk" buttons from AirRider.com in Ooltewah TN but they don't ship to Australia Their site won't let me create an account Can any one help me to get these.

Hey All, not really wanting to know what oil to use (this has been done here) I want to know where to purchase? Online, Wally World, where??? I would like to purchase Amsoil 10w-40 in the gallon jugs and would like 3 gallons. Any help would be appreciated.

There has been a lot of talk about trikes and trike conversions. I am seriously considering going the trike route...only thing is that I don't know if it will be better to convert my 07 RSV (and, if so, using what system?) or to sell my bike and just purchase a trike (again, which manufacturer?) Sure would appreciate any help you all have. -

Went to the Petsmart to purchase dog food and almost $hit. We have a 170-180 lb Newfoundland Dog. We have been feeding him Authority dog food and purchase a 40 lb bag about once a month. Tonight I walked in and walked out, then had to go back pay. The last bag I bought a month ago was 32.99 and today it was 45.99 not including the 13% taxes. Eukanuba was 75.99 (plus tax) for a 40 lb bag. I had to ask the lady at the desk how they can justify a (39.4%) increase. She smiled and continued to smile as she said Rice and corn have gone up (Not sure how much this inrease was) Transportation costs (Price a barrel is 1/3 the cost it was a year ago) Petcetara went backrupt (purchased by Petsmart) People are losing their jobs (Not sure how this has anything to do with the increase) and do not forget everything we purchase will be getting the new Ontario Harmony tax of 13% (which has always been part of purchasing dog food). I wanted to ask her to explain her answers but I just looked at her smiling face and knew I would be wasting my time. I feel sorry for the pets and the Humane Societies as people stop adopting pets. Or worse off people giveing them up, in tough times. Brad

Was wondering if the valve cover gaskets on my 98 RSTD could be re used. The bike has about 35k on it and upon inspecting them the look really in good shape. If I have to purchase can someone give me a good sight to buy from? -
Hello everyone, Well the weather is finally breaking and we are getting our bikes ready for some summer riding fun. This year i was looking to install a pair of top saddle bag rails on the Venture, but I don't know where to purchase them! Would someone please direct me to a sight I could purchase from. My wife bought a pair from e-bay, but they must be for a Tour Delux cause they don't line up, or maybe i just don't know how to install them. Any information would be a big help! I installed a garmin 2720 in my bike recently and am having a hard time seeing it in the sunlight..Tried moving it to different locations to no avail..I know there are sun hoods I can purchase..Other than that ..any suggestions out there to relieve the problem..and yes, I tried the brightness adjustment on the garmin.. It didn't help..any suggestions?

Anyone in central/southern NH have a good carb synch tool? ...valve shim tool? If I lure you over with lunch some weekend, are you interested in helping me try my hand at checking my new bike's valve clearances and then carbs? Can anyone recommend where they purchase the 2 valve cover gaskets and any needed shims at a good price? I'd like to tackle these jobs myself but don't have a synch tool yet! If you have a spare shim kit, I would purchase the ones needed off you. I know I'm asking alot, but......... thanks!

Well with all the toys I have I am looking at getting an Ultrasonic cleaner for things like Carbs and such.I have had the carbs on my 84 cleaned with one when I first resurected it from near dead. My question is should I purchase one of these for the shop and what all can it be used for other things around the Muffin Shack or is it going to be just a shop use type of thing. Jeff

Anyone in the Orlando area own one? I've just passed the 600 mile break-in on my 08 RSV, and would like to see how the Carbtune works ()! Local dealers want ~$300 for the inital service...and if carb synching is really as easy as it seems, I see a Carbtune purchase in my future! Been turning a wrench on my Mustang for years, and I see no reason to let someone else work on my bike! Thanks!

I want to thank everyone in advance for all the suggestions and recommendations for mounting GPS eq. My navigator got a new TomTom for her birthday from her sister and she wants to mount it to the RSV. I have purchased a RAM mount for the TomTom. And while I think this is an okay idea, it would give her one less thing to be able to tell me how to do..... My question is, do I need to purchase some sort of tether for the TomTom or is the RAM mount secure enough not to have to worry about? If I do need to purchase a tether, I am open to suggestions on what and where to buy and how to attach it. Thanks again,

I need the help of all you ebayers out there or anyone who has purchased a bike out of state. I purchased a bike(1st Gen) out of state and I'm going to pick it up this weekend. As of right now my plan is to ride 2 up with the wife and then I'll ride the new bike back. I need to know what all (paperwork) I'll have to have to be able to ride the new back back from PA to NC. I know I have to have it on my insurance but what about tags? Can I purchase a temp tag from NC even tho I don't have the title yet? These are the type of things I need your help on. If anyone could please share their knowledge and/or experience it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Semper Fi, Jerry OH, this will be my first ride on a 1st Gen ... OK folks...some of you may remember that last fall I had posted my plans to do a group purchase of Edset's Headsets. After he told me that he was coming out with a new Third Generation product, I decided to wait. Not only that but to be honest, I've tried a lot of headsets. J&M high and low ends, AirRider which are considered high end and EXPENSIVE, etc. etc. Regardless of if I paid a LOT or just a little, I have never been happy with what I got. So, I have really been on the fence about spending $200.00 for another set that would leave me wanting more. Last week I broke down and ordered a set of Edset's. They came in yesterday and I found time to put them in today. I've got to tell you folks, I think we have a winner. These have the best sound that I have heard from any that I've tried. Bass is pretty good and the music is very clear. Haven't tried them yet for communications but to be honest, that was the least of my concern. I've found that most are fine for communications. He did tell me that the biggest complaint that he gets from new customers is that the mic is sensitive and he has to explain to people that you need to turn down your intercom with these because they don't require the volume that others do. Now here is what I REALLY like about these. They are completely modular. If a speaker goes bad, you unplug and replace it. If the mic goes bad, you unplug and replace it. All connectors for the upper and lower cords are gold plated also. But what I REALLY like is the fact that on the back of the module is a 1/8" speaker jack. You can even buy these without speakers if you want to and plug your earbud speakers into the module. I bought the speakers but also plan to try them with some good earbud speakers. I think it will work GREAT. You can also plug an IPOD or other MP3 player into that same jack if you wish. These are just very versatile. That jack would be a great option for you first gen riders who don't have an auxiliary input. So, I am planning to order another set for my wife's helmet and if there is any interest, I can put together a group purchase at this time. Price will depend upon what you want but the set I bought for an open face helmet with RCA microphone, speakers and speaker pouches came to about $210.00. I think I could get that down to about $180.00 plus shipping if I order 10 or more sets. I would have them all shipped to me and I would cover that shipping. Then to you would probably be about $7.50 or so in the USA. I will have to get a shipping price for Canada. So...if you are interested... now is the time to speak up. Hi everyone, I am a new member/poster and need some info if someone can help. I am seriously considering the purchase of an 08' RSV and need to know the alternator output (amps) of the bike. The dealer for whatever reason can't answer my question and there is no info on Yamaha's website. I plan on installing heated grips, heated aftermarket seat, extra power outlets (for heated clothing and Ipod), and driving/fog lamps. It is possible all of these items will be "on" at the same time and I need to make sure the bike can handle these accessories without any battery drain before I make my purchase. Thanks in advance. BTW: Excellent forum and members.
