    And I would definatly recrute him or her on that might even give him first yr. Free for buying the bike if I sell it just waiting for the title to come in so I can get an antique tag for it spent 28.00 + 10.00 for tag and title transfer when that comes in it will be another 28.00 for the paperwork and wont have to spend another dime on the tag bit I will check into the clutch switch

    well i already had this didnt know about any fixes was going to research on here but it went out before i got on here im guessing it may be just from sitting for 4 yrs with no one to ride it and just had to get the kinks out in the ride

    i agree with Squidley don't waste your time and money get a new one and from the looks of it you didn't waste your time and money i bought a new one for my 99 RSTD my 84 Venture is looking good but will order one to have as a stand by for it when the time comes

    positive y'all say pics its the only way to prove and i have pics on my phone i will post them later but from looking at dingy thread on cleaning the switch I'm missing half or more of the internals i have only the 4 wire contact board and half of the case well then i am asking if you have one and what do you want for it if you have it

    one son is 20 and the other is 16 they both want my 99 RSTD my daughter is 14 on the 28th of this month and she wants both the 84 Venture and the 99 RSTD iv got kids with good taste :cool10:

    Yamaha FRONT STOP SWITCH ASSEMBLY http://partstream.arinet.com/Content/Images/logos/YAM.png Part Number:26H-83980-00-00 can anyone tell me if this is the correct part i need for 84 w/cruise i went to clean the switch and pulled the rain cover off and found i had nothing butthe contact board i am finding that i enjoy working on my bike fixing the little things giving it a lot of TLC but i cant fix whats not there thispart list for 26.00 from i think yamy parts monster and yamy parts house thanks in advance for the correct part # i need

    i pulled the cap on mine and i dont see any fluid brake works but very weak gona fill it up and vac the fluid thru making it all fresh and new :cool10:i hope that slves my weak rear brake problem

    master cylinder now this is a mater of opinion but when you replace or rebuild a master cylinder or caliper you may want to do bothe end of the line i rebuilt the master on the rstd and had to put a new slave on it then hed to do both calipers when i did the brake master the thery behind this is you mke the masster like new and strong and you still have a weak slave or caliper as i said its a matter of opinion on what you do i think it would be a better to be safe than sorry attitude

    old goat im sorrry to hear about your friends. remember this our friends and loved ones that have left us are in a better place and are not suffering anymore lets remember them in all the good time we have had with them as that is how they would want us to remember them in our hearts with the good memories. also you maybe old but your young at heart heal up and get back on the scoot then when you go to see them you can brage about the good times you had on the scoot and seeing the grand and great grand kids grow up you will be with us for a long time to come my friend heal up and enjoy what life has to offer the good and the bad. our friends and loved ones will:cool10: always in our hearts and let them ride with us on our scooters

    Miles i hope you and Brian the best of luck on the BBQ Meet and greet bike unload party and at least a 100 person turn out (make more trips to the store not enough BBQ SAUCE) i wont be able to make it 1. 2500 mi. one way 2. the wife has to work a 48 hr. sit in so i have the kids this weekend 3. my front tire doesnt come in till tuesday so have fun and enjoy the BBQ.

    thanks for that info im about to go buy plugs to do a tune up on my 84 and a set for my 99rstd which still has factory original plugs in the 84 i dont know what it has yet

    i seen the post of the marine radio with pics and it looks klean the way it was installed so i agree with bongobobny do what meets your needs and if you do pull the cb/icom and want to getrid of it i would be intrested as my venture does not have the cb/icom system or the rats nest wiring

    its not the first ride but maybe the 20th since last friday i have lost my speedo this morning on the way to work and had an leo flash his lights at me got to the office pulled the bike in the shop and started tearing down the winshiend and headlight bucket got the cabel back on it came lose and fell out any way orderd my front tire it will be in tuesday back tire is next week to order ive got quite a few thing to go over before the wife will let me plan a tripp to Texas and let Squidley give the bike a good once over

    what is the differnce between dot 5 and dot 5.1 other than the .1 behind the five where can you get the dot 5.1 and what kinda price is on it

    yes just acc on but i do also have a broken wire found it close to the plug i figure it must have broke from being pushed in who knows how many times

    i have an elcheapo $60 battery only 3 days old full of acid has good charge have the probe in it and my light is still on and flashing at me so im gona do the mod and fool the probe
