Squidley the 99 RSTD is my first bike and ist currently down with carb issues the guy my wife bought it from as my anniversary gift said it would be running by our anniversary that was last oct. im about to buy 1roosters 84 venture this week so i can do some real riding and want to know everything i can learn about the bike that i can so if i cant do wider then stock is what the tire will be im looking at the commander II and venom i just hope they make tires for it ive heard good things about them -

do they make a wider rim that will fit the 1st gens i will be getting a 1st gen hopefuly by next week and was wondering? i like wider tires on the rear just a comfort thing gives me peace of mind knowing i have more ruber on the ground just thought i would ask

what about one of those 12 v plug in air pumps will that work for the shock it takes 30 min to air up 35 psi car tire ???????

To think I thought the dark side was just a bunch of nuts in vro some one needs to tell yall you just cant put a car tire on a bike ........not untill you round the edge of the tire:confused24: I have seen 2 bikes wit those tires on it owner of 1 put his on the day he got the bike new with 12 mi. bike had 65000 mi. on it and 1/3 tread left:whistling:

ok im no expert on tires but i do have personal experiances with them same type of therory (IKMS) tires on my truck only weight i needed (tools and parts) compressed air to 35psi 40,000 mi rating wore out in 35,000 mi. same load senarieo same brand of tires 50psi wore out in 48,000 mi 3rd set same 50psi with nitrogen wore out 52,000 mi next set all tools and part + extra parts 40 psi nitrogen wore out 35,400 mi. 2nd set 40 psi compressed air 32,000 mi. for a total of 202,400 mi. on my truck 3rd set 50 psi nitrogen i i now have 53,266 mi on the tires and have about 47% tread left on the tires i will post pics of milage and tire penny trick for this set of tires and will try to dig up my old tire reciepts that show mi. tires were changed out @ so weight does seem to help in my case suckson fuel milage im only getting 18 in the city 22 hwy in my 99 suburban on bfgoodrich longtrail t/a tires also wife has 2011 ford fusion with 93,000 on oem tires 38psi nitrogen and i am about to change here tires out soon she carries no weight in the car exept for collage school books computer work stuff half the store and i think she has the kitchen sink in there some where i haven seen it for a while now

i would go with the one on flebay its cheaper and looks more durable -
My accedent was not as bad as others as a mater of fact mine was minor comparid to alot of others my passenger and I sufferd some road rash and grass stains but im always looking for sand and gravel in the road even in the cage and I havent ridden in 18 yrs. but its always good when you can get up and walk away with a limp some tears and a new respect for m/c and the hazzards that come with it
