    Hey Jeff The sign out front says "Opening Soon" so it would appear that they are curently closed. I will keep an eye on them when ever I am on that side of town.

    I am going to try an make this, if they finish my driveway, currently my bike is land locked in the garage because my driveway is being torn out, if they get it poured in time I may be able to get it out on Sunday morning.

    If it is possible to mold the rubber in place onto the plastic, much depends on the type of plastic and rubber, cure times and temps involved. There is a company called Chemloc, owned by Lords Corporation, they make adhesive systems for exactly what they are trying to do. We over mold natural rubber and fluorosilicone on to PEEK (high performace plastic) and titaium where I work all the time. The process requires that the rubber be vulcanized during the process that kicks off the adhesion system and permanently bonds the rubber to the substrat. Should be able to find Chemloc and Lord Corpoation with a simple Google search.

    If you install the guards that go on top of the bags, maybe you could utilize the mounting hardware on the inside of the lid? But the stick on Velcro may still be the answer, but you may have to get an industrial strength version. Limited availability. 0140PRECOAT - This "dry" adhesive is pre-coated on the tape for later activation by ultrasonic sealing or with a solvent such as acetone. This is the tape to use in conjunction with liquid adhesive for a most secure bond.

    I am only about 25 miles south of Daytona, have not decided if I am taking any time off on Thursday or Friday, but will most likely be around on Saturday and Sunday.

    That sounds like the tradition leak from the rubber plugs. Each cylinder has a rubber plug in it , the rubber plug has a threaded metal insert in the center, They leak a lot. Easy fix is to tape a dime to the pad on the inside of the fin cover that is supposed to press n the seal, some times the seals shrink with age, so putting the dime in the cover gets you a little more squeeze on the seal and stops the leak. It you ever want to remove the seal take an old spark plug and screw it into the threaded hole and pull it out, but make sure you have something to catch all of the coolant that will come flooding out.     You say the oil level is OK , but did not say where the level is in relationship to the low or high level marks. The most common cause of oil drips are from over filled crank case, if you are at or over the upper marker that is probably your problem, it is not uncommon to get an overfill on an oil change especially if the factory recommended amount of oil is put in , instead of checking the window get the proper amount. I normally stay just a little below the halfway point in the window. I only see drips if I have ben running hard (80+) on the interstate for prolonged periods or pulling my trailer at interstate speeds, I get a drop now and again after those types of rides. The oil gets pulled up into the air boxes and then drips out the tubes, overfilled crakcases just lets more oil get pulled up easier.

    2 PM this afternoon saw two Ventures, Black Midnight and Silver, at the shopping center at intersection of state road 442 and US-1, later saw them heading north on US-1.

    I know they have a 2007 they have parted out, I was looking for a spare seat seat and one of them is from an 07. In the video of the 07 it looks barely damaged.

    Warrenty follows the bike not the owner, but you should get the bike to a dealer to have them transfer the warrenty over, sometimes they balk if you are the second owner and have not transferred the warrenty and any length of time has passed since you purchased it. With a good dealer it should not be an issue.

    John I am in Edgewater, just down the road, if you need any help give me a shout. I have not done a replacement on my plates on my Venture yet, but I did on my 98 Royal Star TC, I was able to carefully fish the wire spring out with a curved needle pick. I hope the Venture is set up the same way when I get around to doing it. I am not sure about obtaining that one plate, but I am sure someone here will know.

    Maybe the ignition module is bad, over heats , quits, cools down and then is fine until it overheats again? It has happened to me on other vehicles, buy not my Venture. Sounds like you have eliminated fuel delivery issues.

    I bought one from American Eagle Leatherworks back in 2002, used to strap it to the luggage rack on my 98 Tour Classic, never leaked always kept eveything cold. The one I have is a little big for the saddle bags, but I can put it in the trunk, works great. Looks like they have one designed for saddle bags on their site.     My CD cable went bad, I know the power line at least is broken, no power to CD. Does anyone have a spare laying around they want to part with. Have found the same as I put in originally, but it has an angled connector on both ends, would like to get the factory style if possible, with 90 degree on one end and straight on the other end, have not found those on the internet yet, except for Yamaha part and it is double the price of a standard car audio cable, like I have. Thanks

    This may be old news to some, but I just got a copy from the chief Yamaha instructor at MMI in Orlando, thought it could be of use to someone besides me. I mentioned to him thay my CD portion of the audio system was working intermitently, so he sent me the bulletin. 59085.pdf

    The RX indictes that the CB is receiving a signal, you must have the CB on with the volume down to a level where you cannot hear it. Check section 4 of the owners manual if you have one.

    I had that problem , ended up being the front tire that was out of round.

    Did you notice any "whoshing" type noise when you first opened the gas cap? That is a sign that you may a clogged or pinched vent hose on the fuel tank. If the vent hose gets clogged or pinched as the gas is removed from the tank it will create a partial vacuum in the tank and and cause the fuel to stop flowing out of the tank. Could a pinched hose or maybe some critter crawled up the vent tube, there have been cases of mud daubbers plugging up vent hoses in the past.

    Yes, as odd as it sounds 0 psi is what the factory recommends for both the rear shock and the front forks. I run about 30 psi in the rear and 7 psi in the front forks.

    Yes those are the ones I use, the small refers to the length, the large are for Goldwings, they are .5" longer.
