Nice looking bike. But I can't quit looking at the Blue sky, leaves still on the trees and none of that white stuff on the ground. (got 8 more inches today) Oh how I hate winter. Have fun riding.

randya: I have come close to PM you a couple of times to ask how you are doing the weight loss. When I went in for my surgery they found out I was type 2 diabetes. (sugar was at 404 when they checked it before surgery). I gained 100lbs after hurting my back this last time and now they want me to eat 5 to 6 times a day. I know they said small portions but I have eaten only once a day for as long as I can remember and my weight gain was not from how much I ate but from going from being very active to being able to do nothing at all. In 2005 I had gained 80lbs before surgery and lost it all in less then a year by just getting active again. With this diabetes it seems hopeless because with the meds that they say adds to weight gain and having to eat as often as they say. Never was big on sweets and I haven't used salt or sugar in 20 years. I guess I just have to wait until my back heals and I'm back to being active again to see what happens. Strange at how much better I feel right now after just writing down whats been worry me. LOL. Just hope I can get down to my normal weight before to long. Any more tips you can pass along will be appreciated.

Missing the same part on the left side of my bike. I have not been able to find one either. -
Watched it all last night. OUTSTANDING!!!!! Was amazing all the things they did in the stadium. Cool how they had the Great One take the torch threw the streets to the middle of Vancouver to light the outside cauldron. Canada.

Well well, it's not so much fun now is it. All those posts about your beautiful sunny rides while we were up here freezing. Think you learned your lesson. We will call off the snow in a couple days. So be nice and don't make us send any more down. :snow2::snow2:

I will gladly take a couple months of 100F over 5 months of the crap we get. Alabama I'm coming. I WILL MOVE SOUTH, I WILL MOVE SOUTH, I WILL MOVE SOUTH.

Second back surgery. Had to remove old rods and screws and go up 2 more discs. Have plates between discs, 2 bars screwed in and fusion. Now from L1 to L5. Had to straighten spine also cause of scolisos. I have degenerative bone disease in my spine and it keeps eating away at the discs. Surprised no brace? I don't have the cages but have to wear the brace to keep from twisting and compressing until the fusion has time to heal.

Went to surgeon today to get the staples taken out of my back. Have to ware the back brace for 11 more weeks then go back in for x-rays to see if everything Ok. Then start physical therapy if all is fused properly. No quick fix.

This is the 2003 GL1800 I had. Best bike I ever rode and can't wait until the day I can own another and will never let it go for no one. Put 24,000 miles on it the first summer I had it. Power, comfort, 40+ MPG and I rode it hard. Miss this bike every day. Not a better bike made.

Rode it last year, was OK but more hype then it really is and to many crazy riders. Liked the Cherohala better. But worth doing 1 time.

Let it snow let it snow let it snow. JUST NOT HERE.

I was just found to have type 2, shots once a day. Just trying to learn to handle it now. Hope it doesn't affect my riding.

Get good grades, save your money and MOVE SOUTH. Don't wait until you are one of us old farts wishing we did it when we were young.

But it turns out beer tastes better when you're winning. (Who knew?) You telling me that being a Lions fan I have never and possibly will never know what a good beer tastes like? GO SAINTS

That is one of the best areas of downtown Detroit at Washington and Michigan Avenues, just don't walk around at night. You won't have any problems there and a lot of unique places to eat. The famous American Cony Island and Lafayette cony islands are only a block or two away.

I like Beer in my Beer, all this adding fruit or type of root, twig or weed they can find is for someone that don't drink beer anyway. Give me an ICE COLD Labatts any day.

Look in First Gen Tech Library under Front Fork Seal Replacement. You should change front springs to progressive Front springs also. I made the tool with the threaded rod and nuts and it worked great. It does make it easier to seat seals if you loosen the pinch bolts and pull the fork tubes.

All that white stuff just showed up to remind you why you moved South in the first place. Buy next week you all will be posting about the wonderful ride you just had. -4 degrees here right now and I know you will hit 60 long before we do. I'd take a week or two cold rather then 4-5 months of it. Beside shoveling is cheaper then going to the gym. LOL.

I sure do miss my Happy Button. They took it away after only 24 hours. I want my button back.
