  1. Bump See you all Saturday.
  2. Summer of 06 took a 23 state motorcycle trip to west coast and back. OR This past summer when my Daughter rode with me to the Hub and then to the Dragon. First but not last Father Daughter long ride. She liked it so much She keeps asking when the next rally is. That trip was so special I think it's number 1.
  3. :cold: + :snow2: = and and:mo money: Not for me.
  4. Ah just reading this as I ask myself "why won't it warm up in here" meaning my home. It's a whole 5 degrees outside the furnace has to work better then this. Need to figure out how to do the hibernation thing. Glad you all had a good ride.
  5. We go early now to miss the big crowds. Last few years by 2:00 can't hardly get down the isles to venders and when we leave at 2:00 cars are driving all around waiting for someone to leave so they can park.
  6. I also worked on concrete floors 10-12 hours a day and had foot and shin trouble until I went to Red Wing shoes. They have a boot that is made for walking on concrete all day. Don't remember the name of the boot but they can tell you.
  7. When we were 25 we would just jump up and look at the steps like it's there fault, say to our self "good save on the ham" and think no more of it. I still say this getting old is no fun.
  8. Whenever I have to stay overnight in the Hospital my co-pay is a automatic $1067.00. With me in the hospital last November and the upcoming surgery on January 23rd that is $2134.00 in Hospital co-pays. I applied for help with the co-pays through the Hospital and this morning they called and told me I was approved. They are wiping out the November one and covering any Hospital co-pays for the next 6 months so that will cover the surgery co-pay. Still have to pay all the doctors and tests co-pays but covering that $2134.00 sure takes a load of my mind. Merry Christmas to me. Also Merry Christmas to the entire Venture.org Family.
  9. Last week they had a special on PBS about Red Skelton. I forgot just how funny he was. Good ole Gertrude and Heathcliff. Had a good laugh watching it.
  10. Today a member who I have never met and has no idea who I am read about me lending my Christmas money to a "friend" that will not pay me back. They offered to lend me money for Christmas. I thanked them very much for the offer but explained to them my Daughter and I have talked and She will have a shopping spree on the 31st. (which She is quite excited about) Also She will be at Her mothers during Christmas so she will get something on Christmas. Just another example of the good people in the Venture.org family.
  11. We can go to Kimberly's Pub and watch the bikers go nuts when their Harleys get stolen. Can't believe they park them out front and leave the ignition unlocked.
  12. I most likely will be there Saturday when they open if Gary (99silver) still wants to go.
  13. Never happened to me but in Flint at bar and grills in certain areas crack whores will take your helmet and demand $20.00 to give it back. Unless I can see my bike I tend to lock my helmet in the trunk.
  14. Good pictures of Christmas Decorations and of Hockey Playing Grandson. Good next target, I know I'm not gonna get it. At 2F degrees I don't want to go anywhere in the cage!! :cold::cold:
  15. I was an Auto Service Manager for 33 years at Dealerships, National Chains and local Chains. Doing a few thousand LOF's a months you are bound to have a problem once in awhile. BUT when one company I worked for wanted to get into the 10 minute oil change business they had me hire part time minimum wage people off the street. Spent way to much of my time and my mechanics time going over every car to look for and correct mistakes before car left. After one very good customer left with no oil in his motor and it seized up, I ended the 10 minute crap right then and there. I won't go to them because they hire any warm body they can find and the workers don't care if it's done right or not. I have a local Service Center do mine, takes longer but done right and they don't try to sell me everything under the sun.
  16. It's 489 curves within 12 miles of store. www.shadyvalleycountrystore.com/ www.tailofthedragon.com/ShadyValley/ShadyValley.html These web sites can tell you more about it. I have never been on all the roads listed but was on some of them last year. You will have to copy and paste the entire web site (not just the part in blue) to get to the sites.

    Dealers

Honda East Toledo claims to have 2006-2007-2008-2009 New RSV's in stock. Just have to call on prices. I know they have great prices on 2009's in CycleTrader on line.
  18. Yes I have. When I was a kid my friends neighbor had a red one. Got to set in it, I think I was about 13 or 14 at the time. The neighbor had a heavy equipment parts warehouse and would assemble these cars and sell them. Would also see a white and red one once in a while at the AC Spark Plug factory where my Mother worked along with one of those little cars that the whole front of the car, steering wheel and all would swing open so you could get in. BMW Isetta Bubble Car.

    Why?

You don't need to know WHY, Just do it.
  20. I say you are right, Holiday or not.
  21. Been to lung specialist, Throat specialist, and supposed to of got a MRI on throat this Wednesday but now changed to next Wednesday. Trying to work out with the Hospital the EXTRA $1069.00 co-pay I'm being charged because of operation being canceled due to failed intubation. Anytime I have to spend the night in Hospital it's $1069.00 co-pay so when I go back they will hit me with that again. Plus co=pays for all the Doctors called in and the tests thats being done because of it. Hospital has been real good giving all the reports so after this last test I will contact a Lawyer. Every report points to Her screwing up when she tried to put me under. We wonder about the high cost of health care? The back brace they made for me for after surgery is two molded pieces of plastic with velcro straps. I have to pay 20% of it's cost. $254.00 they claim it costs $1200.00.
  22. Just got a call from my surgeon and my surgery for December 11th has been postponed until January 21st. Surgeon has the flu. Thanks for all the kind words and prayers.
  23. All this valuable information for only $12.00 a year. What a deal. Down the back. (have a kid and a cat) Lid down Except during flu season, then should ALWAYS be kept ready for quick use.
  24. Any junk yard you call can tell you. (yes I still call them junk yards) And for sure a 350 will be easy to find and should be the best price.
  25. He needs to come back and get the rest of it, forgot to pack all of it.:cold:
