At 25,000 miles I bought new plugs for my 04 RSV, put them in the bike and went on about my way, ofcourse the bike did not seem to run any better. Well last weekend me and Deanna my daughter were going to ride to St Simons on Sat. so friday night with 31000 miles on the RSV I took the plugs out of the truck and actually put them in the motor. Bike ran much better then. We also found the right frount plug wire was not push down on the plug all the way You know these thing run pretty good on 3 cyls. and very smooth on all 4. 46.5 mpg on the trip, running between 65 and 70 mph. On the way back DeAnna's 06 v-star 1100, dropped the frount cyl, came home on the back cyl. wide open 55 mph. found the 1100 v-star have fuel shut-off valve like lawn mower to shut the fuel off to the needle valve in the carb. frount failed.

No don't almost polish the rim, do polish it, did one a honda magna a couple of months ago, they had tried and tried to get it to seat, asked me if I had any suggestions, I told Bruce lets try cleaning the wheel better, so we used my jewelers wheel and white polishing bar, polished the wheel till it looked like chrome, the tire popped right out at 45 to 50 psi. Next I put on my venture I'm gonna do it the same way.

I have a honest question, I have read in posts, most recently the darkside poll by captain Joe, that some who went back to the motorcycle tire did so because they pushed the limits of riding. Now I assume they mean in cornering, and curves. The question is how do you push it past the floorboards dragging the ground. I can easily drag my floor boards in sharps curves any most any speed. I have had to replace my right foot peg because of draging getting on and off I 75 at hwy 82 the cloverleaf ramp in Tifton. not being smart, I'm just asking, how can you ride harder than that. Gregg

I have 20,000 on the kumho now, and it has begun to show wear, I hope to get aleast 35,000 miles or more, the cobra just over 18,500 and still has good tread on it. I have not had any problems with wobble except the time I let the kumho get down to 20 psi, but as soon as I pumped it back up to 32 it was fine. Will continue to run the ct on back as long as the size is available. Gregg the most wasted day is one which you have not laughed or loved.

Take a close look at Victory Vision, and yeah I know here comes the ugly commits, but my riding buddy has a new 2011, it is one nice ride, heated seats and grips are standard. the ride is a smooth as a wing, and service is very simple, the air & oil filters are easily accessible, belt driven so no shaft to grease, and handles like a dream. My advice at least ride one before you buy another bike. Bobby also got the 5 year warrenty in the deal. I intend to put aleast 100,000 miles on my RSV, but if I was buying a bike right now, it would be a Vision. Gregg

My ridding buddy traded his 2007 electra glide for a white 2011 Vision, and man that a sweet ride. I can tell you that it will out corner the RSV with no trouble. He was going around clover leaf exit saturday flying with no effort, I could stay with him without dragging the floorboards, but his were close too. The Vision may be ugly to most, but the refinements they have made in the 2011, I think it is the great touring machine, it gives the Goldwing competition. Gregg

Another winter storage question

What is that, unknown concept to me, please explain. Gregg:confused07::witch_brew: -
You do know it is a sin to trailer a GW, the eleventh commandment states, thou shalt not trailer thy Goldwing. On the albany Ga CL there is an 07 with 16,000 miles for $15,000. bike is orange and in great condition. Gregg

The one I have seem done the guy took the cover off the RSV pan and put it on the RSTD seat pan. Just pull the staples out and switch pans. then staple it back. Someone else my have a different way to do it. Gregg

THE 2011 engine noise much quieter than the 2010, the pipes are a little louder with a great tone, the 50 degree engine has a great sound. And while I agree that Victory's first color combination was just plain awful, the white one looks great. I can not afford now, nor am I ready to give up the Venture, but if you are looking for the most hi tech machine the Vision is it. I had rode to my doctor's appointment on monday, met the owner of a new 2011 vision in the doctors office, we both came out a the same time and he had a eye doctor app. im my direction. He offered to let me ride his Vision, so I did. I went to put on my chaps and gloves, he told me you want need them, OK it was only 50 degrees but I took his word, and just put my jacket on, well with the grip and seat warmer he was right, just very comfortable. The Vision is a great bike, smooth as silk, and very comfortable to me. Ofcourse the Venture will be under me for a long time yet. Gregg

I had my Cervical spine surgery weds, every thing went well. Dr Smisson told Karren the surgery went perfectly as planned. He did fusion C5 to C7 with plate. I was the first person the that Dr Smission has let go home the day of surgery. Yes did it as outpatient. I am doing well, still having some pain, but they said that was normal. Pain should subside in a few days. Gregg

Kirby I posted this in open forum instead of PM, so anyone else who wants to join up can. The plan is to ride down to the glades and go for Air boat rides, and then plan from there. And of course anyone you choose to invite is Welcome. Tell Dan there is no whimping out this year and I'm gonna tell David the same. Let me know what you think Gregg
