  1. I have put this off for years, but it has finally caught up with me. I damaged the disk in my back, C-5 and C-6 about 25 years ago, they told me then that it would eventually make my left arm start hurting then go numb. well 2 weeks ago its happen. I was just ridding along and wham felt like an electric shock went down my arm then came the pain and I do mean pain, after about 7 days it was just numb. Anyway ended up at the neuro-surgeon in Macon ga, He is going to fuse both disc sites on the 27th. They say its a simple proceedure and I won't be out very long, about 10 to 14 days. I did go to biketoberfest though, last thru and friday. Gregg:shock3:
  2. If you see my RSV on a trailer, call 911!! it has been stolen. Gregg
  3. Motorpig I agree with you about changing back if you a uncomfortable. The few of us that are not having any problems, are really just trying to figure out where the difference is, I ride very hard at times, and while I normally about 74 mph, which 80 by my speedo, I do at times ride with others and my speedo is reading 92 mph. When Bobby"s harley is registering 85 mph, mine is showing 92 to 94, with no wobble, on grooved or rough roads does not matter. Now mine got down to 22 lbs and I noticed a wobble, but I pumped it back up and it was fine. Your experience shoots down my theory that it is the bias ply tire on frount causing the problem. It has to be something about the bikes. Gregg
  4. My 04 dyno'ed at 83.4 hp what mods does it take to install vmax cam. Gregg
  5. Ruffy I would suggest you try the ct since you have bought it, I have had no problems with mine, I run any speed I want with no trouble and its great two up. I run 36 psi frount and 32 in the rear, but I also have a radial tire on frount, Avon cobra. I have stated I believe that if you put a radial on back then put a radial on the frount. If you have a problem, then go back to a mc tire. I would suggest anyone who is having any problems to change back to a mc tire. Do not ride in any situation that makes you uncomfortable. Gregg
  6. We will be twins then, that what I have and 04 with Cobra on frount and kumho on back. I think you will love it, I have had no problems with mine. I have over 15,000 miles on the kumho and almost 14,000 on the cobra and both look great. Gregg
  7. YEAH I know but down here in The other Ga, South of macon, LEA is on it. Just come through Dooly, Crisp, or Turner counties running above 80, you will get first hand experience with what I am telling you. from the 130 mile marker to the 60 mile marker. Their out for revenue. Gregg
  8. Speed limit is 70 on the IS and 55 on 2 lanes, but they write tickets at 80 the IS and 70 on 2 lanes. They use to write at 85, but now they are all starting to write anything over 80. Gregg And since Ga passed the super speeder law, you don't want to get a ticket for 20 over in Ga. the state adds an extra 200 bucks on the ticket. And then informs your insurance company. Gregg I drive no more than 5 over the limt, it just is not worth what speed cost now.
  9. Gonna change my real name to a unpernouncable symbol. The biker formally know as gregg, is now _____________. Gregg
  10. But where are yall able to run 85 mph, around here if you break 80 on the interstate a set of blue lights come on behind you. They are really getting strict in south ga north Fla. We went to Panama City Beach last week and it seemed that every few miles LEA had someone pulled over. I been driving close to the speed limit myself, never over 75 on the interstate. In the 20 miles of interstate on the way to work today I saw five traffic stops. Guess revenue is falling short. Gregg
  11. Plus it's a cheap way to get the sound you want. Gregg

  13. Let my emt expire last year, didn't really need it anymore, currently ACLS, PALS cert ICU Nurse, I work ER some but not a lot. Gregg
  14. You will stutter. remember saws and drills are for wood not meat, well unless your in the meat market. Get well soon, you should not have much problem with that, just be sure you follow all the post op instructions, and good hand washing until it heals over. Infection can turn something like that into a major problem. Gregg
  15. He said he has been on the artic circle trip 4 times, and all over alaska. Gregg He must not stop except to change oil, But that is only 37,800 miles per year.
  16. Well I was but as usual I got confused on where we are going, so I think I will go to jacksonville fl on friday and wait there. Gonna listen to the Atlanta rythum section at the park friday night. My B'day, but I forget how young I'll be. Gregg
  17. They just took the training wheels off, and have not learned to shift from first gear. Gregg PS. I am going to go up there and show them how is done......... > > > > > > > > > > > > >just as soon as I get tired of living Gregg
  18. They never seem to wear out, I forgot that part. And yes I thought the same thing $500 for service, but I took his word for what he said he paid, ofcourse i was thinking he was out of his mind for paying it. Gregg
  19. I read post where members talk about how advanced the Harley ultra is and they complain about the lack of updates on the RSV. Some buying harley's and using that as an excuse of why they bought the harley. Now if you want a Harley and can afford one buy it. I just don't see what is so updated about a harley, over the Venture. First, Looks the Ultra(electra glide) looks just as it did 50 years ago, and no Harley has no intention of changing it, loyal Harley riders would flip out. Now the modern bikes do have better chrome and more refined looks, but the RSV looks just as good, actually more streamlined to me. Most non-riders don't know the difference. I hope Yamaha does the same and never change the RSV overall appearance. Now yes the Harley is fuel injected, but that has pros and cons, I like FI until the electronic problems start. I can't tell that the sound system on the HD is any louder than the RSV, and mine sounds just as good as Bobby's did( we think his ultra is totaled) even he said mine was as good as his, there was not enough difference to count. And as far as the cassette, it just fills the hole in the dash, and by the way CD's are fast becoming a thing of the past, the Aux port is the thing now so you can plug your mp3, or ipod into it, my wife and teenager won't even bother with CD's anymore they take up to much room. So the aux port on the RSV makes it up to date with the new music eq. As far as the ride that personel preferance, I like the RSV ride, Bobby says the Ultra is smoother at 80 mph, but the RSV is smoother at lower speeds. Now yes there are tons more accessories for the harley, and Yes I guess if you think it cool to be in the IN crowd and own one, that great too, if it makes you happy go For it. Now I am just stating my opinion, not to start a war or insult anyone, but this is a RSV site and some of us think it is a near perfect riders machine. The prices the guys I know spend to service and maintain their Harley's, just recently one of the guys told me he had his serviced, oil and filters changed and belt adjusted he said her got deal at $535.00. I can't afford it. Gregg
  20. Bobby went to surgery friday bone was plated with screws, Sat morning compartment syndrome set in and they had to reopen the leg, Yesterday they tried to close and graft the sight, but Now he is in ICU with wound vac and compartment pressure monitoring. If pressure goes back above 30 the leg will have to be reopened. This has turned into a major ordeal, the possiblity of premenant nerve and tissue damage is increasing. I am truely worried about my friend, more brother than friend. Thanks for your prayers, I will tell Bobby. Gregg
  21. I really liked my valkyrie standard, have regretted selling it. They are great bikes, powerful machines, and ride better than the RSV. The seating position is the only draw back to the valkyrie. Gregg
  22. This morning my buddy Bobby went down, a guy in a truck pull out in frount of him, he managed to dodge the truck but lost control of his Electra Glide and went down, right leg broken just below the knee and just above the ankle, both bones tibula and fibula. No other injuries, was taken to Tifton hospital and then transfered hughston medical, he did not want a rod in his leg but I think he going to have one. The part that really got us was the trooper said because there was no contact between the vehicles that there was no evidence that the guy( one of the othropedic surgeons who the trooper knows)pulling out in frount on him caused Bobby to crash, it appeared to him the Bobby just lost control and dropped his bike. The insurance companies could sort it out. He just was not going to right anyone at fault. A""hole. Gregg
  23. That very interresting, not what I had in mind but very interresting thanks Gregg
