I also have a Lee-sure-lite, and use a soft top carrier. The benefit to a soft top carrier is you can put it inside while you are sleeping and take it with you folded up if you dont need it when you first leave for your trip. If you don't already have some shims, that would be a must so you won't damage the hinge when you set it up. I have two 2X4 wedges and two 2X2's depending on the ground and it's unevenness. Enjoy your trailer. It tows like nothing so don't forget it is there and try and get too close to a gas pump.

I have a Sea Doo that is going on 10 years old and have had it since new. A 3 seater. We water ski and tube behind it. We all have an absolute blast with it. The only thing I have had to do other than winterize it is buy batteries about every two to three years. I am now using a battery tender on it and into my 3rd year with this battery. I would be apprehensive to buy a used one as they are a toy that are meant to be pushed to the limit. With saying that there are some really simple rules I was told to get a long life out of it. Don't gun it close to shore as it sucks up the water and what ever is on the bottom. If the motor is bogging down, get off the Sea Doo and reach under it and pull the weeds or debris from the water intake area. VERY IMPORTANT the machine must be turned off. Cover the machine to protect it from the sun. If you are not sure you will like it or only see using it for a couple of years then a used one may suit you just fine. I knew I would be keeping mine so I bought new and still love it as much as the day I bought it. My top speed is 61 mph. Good luck in your search and decision.

Gary and Mary, Congratulations. We wish you all the best and what a great picture you attached for us to see.

Thanks for the input. I had the tool to split the fairing and put the windshield back in place, but I had better order another screw and check on them until I feel comfortable again.

Yesterday while riding on the Highway I noticed my windshield was getting closer to my helmet, then I saw the plastic chrome piece lifting up and my windshield was lifting up. I eased up on the throtle and put my left hand up to hold the winshield in place when it broke free from my fairing. I was lucky and had a grip of it and pulled over without a miss hap. The one screw holding it solid to the fairing was off and inside my fairing. One screw was lost and the others where still screwed in but the windshield just pulled out since they are open ended slots. I was lucky, and I have never understood why Yamaha only made one connection for the windshield.

I changed my rear brakes pads for the first time at this past MD with Gary N's help. I had 23,000 miles on them and the inside was almost down to the metal.

I got almost 19,000 miles on my rear Dunlop 404 and still running my front dunlop at 24,000 miles.

Congratulations to them and yourselves for raising such a fine son. I wish them all the best and some wonderful Grandchildren for you when the time is right.

Don and Eileen, thank you both for opening up your home and yard as you did for all us squatters. Camping there really added to the experience with meeting new people. Unfortunately for me when I met new people I should have wrote their names down, as I met others I forgot the previous names. Not that I wanted to forget, I just haven't been able to develop that skill yet. Just like my lack of skill with motorcycle repairs. With the help and guidance of GaryN and Relic, I was able to change my rear brake pads. I now feel I can and will flip the pads at oil changes to get an even wear. I will also now be able to assist other members with the process to change the rear pads if they need help. My low beam blew out on the way back to your house from Quaker Steak Lube on Friday night. V7Goose told me what to do to change it. With the help of the person parked beside me (and this is where I am upset at myself) I believe his name was Steve assisted me and he also worked on installing a rear break light bar from Diamond R. Then (and again mad at myself) I think his name was Gary rode into the Auto Zone and picked me up a new bulb for which his suggestion was a Silverstar. It was a great weekend and the spirit of Brotherhood and Family was and is truely there as a result of all the effort you have done with the site. ps. The outhouse was a terrific idea also.

Wayne, I hope all goes well with your daughter. I spoke with Evan and sent another text to Saddlebum. We will meet you where ever the meeting spot is. I'm just along for the ride. Too many other things to think of. I spoke with Relic today and happy to hear he and Dianne are also going. I'll see you guys in Ohio.

Welcome to Canada, and soon to the famous Don's MD in the big U.S.A.. I look forward to meeting you there.

Your a good man Don. We all appreciate it also. Your property always looks so good when we are there. I hope it looks as good when we leave too.

Thanks for posting that, and as the others have said, I am glad you where paying attention and able to move out of the way. Hopefully all of us here will ensure we also check behind us for the person who is not paying attention.

Brad, very nice looking machine. Now your bike doesn't match Rhonda's. Does that mean she is getting another one this year? Sorry if I just started anything.....
