  1. I have a venturdad hitch and it works great. A simple 5 minute instalation as well.
  2. I would be interested in going on this ride with you. However, July is pretty much blocked out for me as I will be away. Also the week of Jun 21 to Jun 25th I wont be able to take any time off. I work weekdays, but usually can take time off if my partner is working and not on holidays. I won't pick any dates as of yet as I am sure several others will also like to join in on this ride. So lets see what dates work out for the majority and of course yourself.
  3. I've been working as one for almost 24 years, of which I have been blessed and highly favoured for almost 20 years in the K9 unit. Living the dream as I have heard others say. I am fortunate as I wake up and get to go to work, where others wake up and have to go to work. With that said, I am still really looking forward to my retirement.
  4. Ben, I'm sorry to hear the sad news. I hope he was comforted by his family and friends like yourself near the end.
  5. Ben sorry to hear this. This time is not easy on anyone involved. I hope your visiting is helping his spirit. I will also include all of you in my prayers.
  6. Congratulations and I wish you even more fun and enjoyment together.
  7. First time sleeping in the trailer
  8. Thanks to John (Relic) we where able to get the photos posted here.
  9. Wow I never thought of that. I saw a collapsable camper flip out (lazyboy style) chair but I opted for the more sturdy aluminum ones that don't mold around your body. Dave-wells I will look for you around the willow tree. I won't be arriving until the Saturday and just sleeping for that night. Dave OBrien Dogman
  10. Yes, I have set it up and slept in it a few times. I'm now pulling it around when I go for a ride getting use to it, not that it is needed as it pulls so easy, but it is wider than the bike so I must not forget I have it behind me. I will be taking it to Freebird's MD. I have pictures which Relic is going to be helping me with on the weekend to post.
  11. Thank you Ben for all the help and work you did for me yesterday. Ben wired my bike up to pull my new trailer as well as installed some good looking Chrome Platinum Burners (from Walmart) as passing lights. We spent the whole day together working on the bike. Ben is very much a perfectionist and routed the all the wires professionally. Now when I say we spent all day working on the bike, I actually mean Ben did the work on the bike. I was his, not so helpful, go-for guy. I would like to say I learned alot, but the wiring was very confusing and I know I still would not be able to do the job. But I now know how to take off my gas tank. Ben thank you very much for all you did, and I look forward to getting out for a ride with you soon. Dave
  12. My wife Bernie and I are sorry to hear your sad news. We hope Joyce is doing as well as can be expected and you are both in our prayers.
  13. Congratulations Bob, you must be so excited. I can't wait to see you riding on it.
  14. Congratulations and good luck with picking it up. I hope all goes smooth
  15. Have a great time and an even better time when your bike is finished. We look forward to seeing your smiling face on your new machine soon
  16. I am a proud new owner of a leesurlite tent trailer http://www.leesurelite.com/ here are a couple pics of my new road accomodations Sorry I can't figure out how to attach the photos. Who said you have to be smart to ride a bike or type on a computer. I'll try again when I have more time.
  17. I got my notice of cancelation today via email. I was going to make a post shortly and let people know I was going to be cancelling my reservation anyway in case someone else wanted it. I just got my new tent trailer and want to tow it down to Don's as a practice run for my long trip to Las Vegas.
  18. I have heard from many people here and my wife and I would agree. This bike is like a couch on wheels. Speed, comfort, looks, and storage. Mine is an 07 and love it. Millage ranges 35 mpg to 48 mpg. Good luck and happy riding. Take eusa1 up on his offer. This is a great bunch of people here who are always willing to help.
  19. Congratulations on getting out on your bike. I also just got out on mine yesterday for the first time. Was this your warmest first ride of seasons past?
  20. Congratulations on the first ride of the year. I havn't been able to give that scream of joy yet, but soon. Have a long safe fun riding season.
  21. Well maybe my speedo is off. I bought my bike new in the States so it is in miles, but I converted it for you. I get between 150 to 180 miles before reserve.
  22. At the faster speeds I'm getting 240km's and speed limit 290kms before putting on reserve. The reserve tank is large as I can still get another 40km's then I chicken out.
  23. Paypal has been sent with my shirt request. Thank you
  24. Gentleman, thank you for the suggestions so far. JackZ, I will definitely keep you in mind and your very kind offer. I want to start some route planning so I will be in touch in the next couple of weeks. Evan, you are living the dream. Motorcycling one day and snowmobiling the next. Life is good, you are a fortunate man. I am chickening out on getting my bike out so soon. I see all the salt stains on the road and my bike is still so new, I want to keep it for many years so I am fearful of what the salt will do to it. The trailer weighs in at 255lbs.
  25. Yes as Brad said just a little snow left. The temp is suppose to go up to 10 Celsius this weekend. Of course you know this doesn't mean our winter is over.
