  1. Don't know how much noise you are looking for, but I just drilled mine out with a 7\8 spade drill bit. From both ends. Gives a bit of a rumble, not anything loud but enough to show that work is being done. Easy to do, all you need is a long extension, the metal is really quite easy to drill out.
  2. Think I'll get me one of those. Traffic here is horendous sometimes, maybe even 3 cars a day going by. Hey Lou, want to make a loan??
  3. Don't really know the answer, but on the 1st gens there are 2 power wires going to the audio, one for constsant power and one for switched power. If that is the case with yours, could be something flukie with that. That being said, members have had other problems with the ignition switch, so you might look at that.
  4. Thanks Lou, that was GOOD
  5. Hey, We don't want to ignore you so I posted here, don't know the answer just yet, but will post again when I know, most likely next time I turn 18, then I'll know everything. Thanks this will be handie, I know of what you speak.
  6. Well there is my daughter Andrea, she's doing all the fuunie stuff, then there's Jacquie, and Nikky and Joanne, all friends of Andrea and all of them old enough to know better, but still tooo young to resist, 'course with a 'magnet' and a first gen, who wouldn't wanta?????
  7. She's not my mother, I'm waiting for 'wifeday', then maybe,,,,, Now why did I say that???????
  8. Started at 5 pm and finished at 10 pm ferrying these girls around, and didn't even take my Missus for a ride today, man I might be plump wore out if it easn't soooo much fun.
  9. There's a post in the tech section on how to tighten the steering head, actually you tighten them until you have very little bounce on the handle bars when you push them over. Cupping on the tire is not going to help your situation, but from what you discribed your steering head needs tightening.
  10. I know this might sound some what stupid, but try to put your kickstand in the UP postion.
  11. Thanks for the update, we will keep praying for you two, and hopefully soon be able to praise, and be thankful for His compassion.
  12. Well I solved the problem, sort of. First off I found it really helps to have the throttle stop screw backed off far enough so that it will kill the engine, I did, but the sync screw on #1 was was also backed off too far and so that screwed things up some what. Once I discovered this I was able to get the sync perfect and it ran better but the idle would still hang up when it warmed. So the next thing I did was to adjust the cables to factory spec's, as I was informed, and now it will idle at 900 rpm, but it still hangs up at 1200 rpm, although with a little push on the throttle it idles fine. Don't know quite what to do about this, but someday I will find it and then all will be well. As it is, I ride and enjoy.
  13. Keep it up for we are right on your tail, 38 next month. Looks like you're enjoying it as much as we are. CONGRATS Marcarl
  14. If you want to fine the problem, wait for a dry day, warm up the scoot and then start spraying it water from a spray bottle, using a stream, not a spray. Go slowly from place to place and sooner or later something will come up. If that don't work use a water hose, but the problem with the hose is that it tends to cover too muach area at one time to be effective in pin pointing the exact location. It sounds like hight tension wires but could also be in the charging system or electrical system. If it misses, my gues is high tension, but if it starts just running crappy, it could very well be a drain in the electrical.
  15. Diddo Diddo Diddo Diddo Diddo Diddo
  16. When I read your problem I thought >coil:stirthepot:
  17. Insurance, Insurance, Insurance, here's the story. Got my first insurance with Kingsway 2004 approx. $525.00 2005 $625.00 2006 $700.00 2007 $900.00 & some so I got a new agent, Dalton Tiimis from Ancaster at $580.00 also insured through Kingsway. This year they quote $680.00 Riders Plus $659.00 this year So I called the agent that does all the rest of our insurance who said before that they couldn't quote MC and they now do through Economical, but only if you are a long time client $549.00 Nice, it save me $110.00.
  18. Wow, and I thought we were going to have to wait for days to get this done,,,,YOU ROCK BUDDY. This works faster and better, now don't forget to be employed, we should be secondary to that remember. Carl

  20. When humans fail, then God's power can shine. As the others have already done, we will present your case before the throne.
  21. Better have a big plate of food ready.
  22. Just come up with the remembering that I have a whole wack of 1157 LED bulb here. Some are from CTC, some are from a local seller, and some are from Super Bright. I haven't been convinced to put any in the tail light. They show up alright for a tail light but the difference for the brake is almost non-exsistant. Night time is better than day time but still does not come anywheres near close to an incadescent, so I'm running incadescent. Maybe I need to change my fuse block, they seem to work fine straight from a 12 volt source (battery charger) but don't perform in the scoot.
  23. http://www.superbrightleds.com/ All kinds and shipped fast and are as promised. Good Prices
  24. We're with you Bobby, may He shine on you as usual.
  25. Something about the penninsula, where ever you ride there are always some nice scenic parts, just don't be stuck to the main travelled areas, You've hit on some of the best though, Now take a trip to the south and west of Kitchener, along the lake to Port Burwell, North of Orangeville and then the Muskokas, just west of Burlington\ Mississauga in the Milton area, Ancaster SourSprings Road on your way through.
