  3. when i got my 1984 venture from my father in law. he told me not to choke it or the plugs would fowl almost instantly. i am quite sure this is because it is running to rich. this could be caused by dirty carbs correct? jets maybe. Also when idling it mifires every 5 or so seconds out of the left exhaust could this be because of dirty carbs too? it runs perfect when your riding and come to a stop idles good. so im just wondering where i go now i need my choke i dont like taking the tank cover off and sprayin panther piss in to get it started when its cold lol also what is the exact process of taking the carbs off i know take the side fairings off and filter box but does it have intakes u just unbolt or what? i want to leave them all togather thanks
  4. i have seen a post on drilling mufflers but thanks to another member on this board {sorry dont remember the name} anatomy of a muffler i have found i cannot do it this certain way with my mufflers. i have the cones and if i took them off i would have the middle pipe sticking out. my question is how is the best way to do this? thanks alot
  5. i have searched sites and found how to drill out the 99 and newer ventures. i was gunna try that but thanks to another member on the forum{sorry i dont remember the name} i found that it is not possible to do it like i have seen. i have a 1984 venture with the cones on the end. the pic i saw on the others didnt have the pipe stick out so i guess it didnt have cones. so i would like to know the best way to do this. thanks very much

  7. i checked the valve stem where you air them up the hoses all the way to the forks and where they screw in all was good except i had a air leak on the right fork the rubber seal/gasket the one that connects the upper and lower part of the forks is there a way to fix this? i pushed them down and it worked but they have a little leak no matter how you press it it just moves around the seal. also is this seal a fork seal or is it insidE? thanks very much for all yalls help
  8. i believe it is just a standard i dont think it has a compressor on it ill try that out thanks guys
