  2. Well we went right through there today,,,,, guess you guys don't start things early, 'cause we didn't see anybody there no how,,,,,, so had lunch @ Heritage instead.
  3. We really don't have a problem with all that,,,,,,, Marca looks after it all, and there are no worries. 'Course you could always invite some neighbors over for supper and offer to do their laundry while they are there anyways,,,,,, Just a note,, I Would bring some beer!
  4. You know somethin',,,,,,, we're stuck,,,,we can't get there from here!!!!!!!!!
  5. Thanks for the update, bro. You can't get out of our prayers, it's a steady thing. We sure hope for the best for you two, especially you, but Eileen needs our prayer support as well. Now if you can't learn how to take it easy, we're going to have to send somebody down there to learn you.
  6. Sounds like a good report, just hit that nerve a number of times real good, and it'll either go away, or you will get used to it:think:,,,,,,, ya got to ride man!!!!
  7. Goose,,,,, when I read your post, I laughed, I thought it was a neat, comical way of asking for more specific info. Loosen up folks, we are a family here, and so want to help each other. Often time the words don't come across as intended, so give us all a break, take it all with a grain of salt, look for the humor first, and if you don't feel well, take that into consideration as well. Very seldom does one intend to pi$$ somebody off, and if that is the intention, then our Mods some take care of the issue. SO LIGHTEN UP,,,,THANKS
  8. First off I would take the whole pump assembly apart, clean it, some lube is necessary and dry the desicant. It needs to be done once in a while anyways, maybe every two years. In the mean time, use this trick: pump up the 'shock', go to the front, then back to the rear and the plunger may be able to move to show you the correct amount in the real shock and then you can adjust it from there. This may take a moment or two, so keep pressure on the button, don't release it right away. You may have to try this trick a couple of times for the right reaction. Carl
  9. Nah, it don't look like no second gen to me, but it's a way to shiny for Dan,,, but it looks nice!
  10. I think that would be a worthwhile forum, maybe somebody important will read this thread and then create one, just 'specially for: Cycle Wreckers, or Cycle Recyclers, or Parts Bikes, or Older Than Dirt, or maybe just Used Parts.
  11. Hey Tom, sure appreciate you going out of your way like this, but you could have just called me for the measurements, lets see Christy would be a 16, Leanna is a sure 'D', Sue wears a super large, but I think Peggie is small, well at least I think she could have been larger, Jane does all right in a Medium or so, might be a little tight, but would fit, Marge is a double, and the last time I asked Doris,,,,well maybe it's just as well you went out on your own.
  12. We will keep her in our thought and prayers, and you as well. Glad to hear she's feeling better, and also glad if it had to happen you were close to a medical center. Take your time, we'll see you when you get back. Carl
  13. The parts are at 679bike in Mount Hope, he has the electronics and saddle bags, floor boards, pegs etc at home. Call him if you like. Phone# is in the ad.
  14. Try this thread for some answers: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49901&highlight=saddlebags
  15. During the winter last year, I did some sawdust making as well. Not my expertize really. All the sawdust I make seems to end up on my scoot, helps protect it from any would be thieves,, and if someone should want to pay for it, I could get extra, seeing as it's sooo old and dust covered, helps with the authenticity, I guess, hope. You do nice work Dick, just be a bit more careful, thumbs are handy things.
  16. Yep, sync the carbs first, then post again.
  17. I think I met you once, maybe twice, can't rightly remember, so I guess you must be a knowledge sucker, I did know some things before I met you, but now I'm not sure there is anything left to remember, or whether there is anything worthwhile knowing, if you know what I mean. So you must have taken it all from me,,,, it has been proven that nobody else has all the smarts that I once had, or they would be sticking out like a sore thumb, so you must have it all now. Given time you will learn how to deal with all the thoughts you have sucked from me, slowly they will dawn on you as light is allowed to enter dark, but be careful, for some of those thoughts carry awesome responsibility and responsibility causes pain, in fact it can cause so much pain that one's head would seem to want to explode with the dark of it all. In a way, I am happy to have rid of my thoughts, but it does not necessarily please me that you now have them, for if not controlled properly they can get you into lots of trouble, and that would cause more darkness. I wish you well. It is best, I have found, to stay away from humans of the opposite sex, for then your thoughts tend to be the least controllable and pain can be felt in far more places than is normal and it can get downright aggravating. Loose thoughts, as well, can be dangerous, so be careful to keep a tight rein on them. That is not as easy as it might seem at first, but in time you might learn that keeping them to yourself and not trying to share them with everybody you meet, sure outweighs the expected results.
  18. Has she said back up and get out of here? yet? If not, you're still alright!
  19. That trick does seem to work, I've used it at times, and then NO MORE CALLS or faxes,,,wonder why?????
  20. I checked for those washers here in Canada when I did mine a couple of months ago, couldn't find anything that would do the trick, now I have stock.
  21. Just keep in mind that transferring money around does have it's costs,,,, so you might not get much back,,,, after all,,,, I don't come cheap!!!
  22. just send it to my email, I'll be sure to look after it on a timely basis.
  23. Don't think you have to touch those,,, I don't have a 2nd gen, I have a 1st gen and there is no reason to remove anything but the grips themselves. Just either blow them off with air or cut them off with a knive.
  24. This thread started out just fine, but NOW? Hijacked again, must be us!
  25. As far a 'leaking' seals is concerned, mine leak all the time. The grease used is not what is normally used for wheel bearing grease, but that doesn't matter, it's just ordinary axle grease, and so tends to break down and go to oil. Oil is very hard to contain in a heated pressurized situation such as this, and so I'm quite alright with it that there is a bit of leakage, kind of that is why there are springs in the bearing buddy to keep the bearings full of grease. When you see the bearing buddy recessed, then it is time to add some more grease, and the only reason you need to add more, is because you lost some, and where could you loose it, if not through the seals.
