  1. Check the Air Jets inside the Carb-Throats, they should be 75, 80 or 90. There's a Chance they got mixed up with the other Air Jets behind the Diaphragm(170ish). No need to ask how i know.
  2. I'd check the Voltage on the Bulb prior to shelling out Money. If the Contacts inside the Hi/Low Switch are corroded and dirty, a better Bulb will make them even more hot.
  3. That's what i've thought before, thanks for confirming this.
  4. Well, that doesn't look that different to the Look my '09 Vmax when i mounted the bigger Tank... just the Fairing and the Handle Bars ... :happy34::happy34: Way to go !! But on the other Hand, it looks worse than it actually is. I'd love to have the same Look on a 1Gen Vmax, but they choose the weld the rear Subframe instead of bolting it on, like on the 1Gens.
  5. here ...
  6. It's only me, but i would just buy a new Water Pump Assy from a 2007 Vmax and undo the black Paint. Why ?? Because i know of so much Guys which tried to go the cheaper Route and just replace the Parts as Skydoc said. Most of them ended up buying the whole Assembly afterwards and had the new Parts lying around in Closet forever. That's because you're breaking the Casing way to easy when you're not exactly know what your doing. Why buy a Vmax Water Pump ??? It's much cheaper than the VR Part .... Must be the different Paint or something like that. :bluesbrother: P.S. You'll need the Gasket and both O-Ring a the Knee.
  7. Check your AC Voltage Output, the AC Connector(three white Wires) and your R/R. This will most likely be the Culprit of a miracle blown Main Fuse. You may do that soon, because when your feeding AC into the DC System, a Lot Parts will be damaged, starting from Bulbs up to the Battery.
  8. The actual Engine Serial# is visible from the left Side, behind the Plastic Cover on the rear. The # is above the Output -Shaft, there#'s flat Area in the Housing.
  9. Not exactly a Detective Show, but JAG is near the Genre, and i'm sold on the Spin-off NCIS too ... But nothing beats Jean-Luc Picard ...
  10. Now, you better stop harassing a fellow Member, ot i will do something ... like ... ... ... ... invent another Handle for former Danob11 ....
  11. Did you just reposition the Pins and bend the Tabs back in Place back then ? If so, it's not unusual that these might give you Grief again. I'd look there first, if that checks out, it's either the Ratchet Mechanism itself, or, (bad News) the Shifter Drum. But if you can confirm the Bike shift into a definitive Neutral, it's not the Drum or the Shifter Forks. If "Neutral" means somewhere inbetween Gears, the Culprit could be anything.
  12. You can get the Balance close with a single Setup, but i won't be any near as perfect as we want it. It's Kind of " on the Road Fix" until i can get into a real Balance Job".
  13. Sounds fine ?? Now, do you know how a burnt Valve or Hole in the Piston sounds like ?? You won't hear anything unusual until something bad happens.
  14. Well, believ it or not .. I wouldn't want a 1Gen revival ... They should just use the VMAX as the Base of a new Touring Bike in 1Gen Style and i'd buy one in a Minute !! :thumbsup2:
  15. Put a 2x4 under the rear Wheel before opening the Clutch Cover and there will be NO Oil spilled ...
  16. Dan thanks again for making this happen. I sounds like this Guys has a Lot of Units at Hand. If so, we could honor each Request even for multiple Units. Even at 10 Dollars for the Connectors and such it's still a very good Deal !! !! Can't wait to have them.
  17. Thank you Dano for stepping up !!!
  18. rhncue .. there's no need to get itchy. I thank you for what you've done for us and appreciate it. Condor sure didn't meant to get your Blood Pressure raised. I didn't contact the Seller because i don't want him to get confused by various People talking to him and complicate the Situation. There's nothing wrong with JB's offer, but since he already mentioned his limited spare Time, I just had hope somebody would step up to plate and make it happen. I'd do it myself, but not being in US isn't helpful at all in this Matter. We have a count for 44 Units as of now. Since most Member had the Chance to voice their Interest after their Return from the Int' Meeting. I close the List for now. I hope we have a Taker here soon ... Let's wait for the Night to come.

  20. Excuse, me, but ARE YOU ACTUALLY saying the Ambassador is OLD ?? ?? :missingtooth: Don't you just love it when other Folks get you in Trouble ??
  21. what Mike said
  22. Altough not cheap .... http://wildbros.com/Billet.html
  23. Well, sounds like a bad Deal, you cured your mid-life Crisis with getting the Bike and then this addicting Habit called VR.org came into Play  :happy34:
  24. Dang ... another Cerburu ....
  25. Those are available in US also, i.e. http://www.spieglerusa.com/cfm/brakeacc.cfm, but if anything fails, i have them lying in the Closet. You'll need M10x1.25 Threads at a single Banjo Bolts for the FJR M/C's.
