Air Pump on RSTD
playboy replied to NEO55's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Save the $10 bucks and put $2 dollars with it and join up you will get a better return on your investment. Besides the gauge works just fine. -
Information like this is why it is well worth the 12 bucks a year not to mention all the fun. Oh yeah WELCOME to the site.

Air Pump on RSTD
playboy replied to NEO55's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Just the HD pump or one made like it. Zero air loss is the kicker not something you will get with a bicycle pump. The front forks take such a small volume of air if you try and check them with a gauge you will loose what air you have and will end up with and imbalance in your forks which may lead to handling problems. Better to have 0 psi up front till you have one of these pumps. -
NO but you can have the HS selected and only headsets will work. As others said split the fairing and clean all of the white plugs on right side and the three big black ones. One of those black ones runs up to your controller through the fairing and close to the steering neck check there for any abrasions.

Yeah Eck is on the money on this one I did mine in the motel parking lot Saturday but only had some WD 40 on hand so I get to do it again. But it got everything working. Keep playing with the Talk switches mine were sticking too but got them working the passenger button was the biggest culprit.

All of it is just beautiful if you find yourself in Ouray try Riverside Inn and Cabins nice place to stay and they rent jeeps which I highly recommend. If Shelly is still working there tell her I said HI. http://www.ourayriversideinn.com oh yeah watch out for the mule deer in the evenings they roam all over town and lay in peoples yards and there very tame. Watched a fawn nursing on the sidewalk.

The Driveshaft comes out when you remove the four acorn nuts and remove the final drive. But it is best to drain the oil before and go ahead and change it. No it won't be a sealed unit the grease will run out the speedometer cable hole if turned in the wrong direction I learned this after draining mine all over kregerdoodles driveway. Kind of embarrassing but hey it was a maintenance day and I learned something.

OK your busted Miller47 shame on you for getting such a big head start on the Eureka Springs Meet & Eat and leaving us here to ride in the rain all by ourselves. Hey that scoot and trailer looked good going down the road. You two have a safe ride up and hopefully will see you there. Issac may be weakening some

Another 1st Gen gas smell
playboy replied to KIC's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Your probably experiencing flatulence. It's probably caused by a lactose intolerance from stopping at all the Dairy Queens and consuming large amounts of ice cream. Just something that happens with age.:rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf: -
Definitely under the seat and PLEASE do yourself a favor and get Steve's wiring harness. Trust us when we tell you how much easier it makes things and not just cause it's easy but look under your seat and find the plug Rickster showed you in his pic and you can see for yourself how little room on the bikes wiring harness you have to work with. I know I tried it the first time. That harness will make your installation trouble free for a long time.

But your going to need another RELAY to get the trike and then the trailer on the flatbed

Nice job Who was it that had the HD trunk and had a Yammy badge made for it. Looked sharp.

There should be a check valve to keep air from returning or leaking back through the compressor. Also it lets the compressor start easier without the back pressure of the tank. Probably what your hearing. Check valve maybe gummed up from condensation or oil blow by from the compressor.

According to my agent " Progressive " my trailer is considered and accessory of which I have 5k coverage for accessories. I also ask about coverage while the trailer was at a motel and not connected to bike and yes it's covered. Oh yeah the bike is definitely covered
