  1. Can someone tell me where the anti tamper covers for the air adjustment are located or post a pic of them. Been looking in the service and parts manuals but they must be under a different name or terminology for me to find them. And what is the best way to remove them when I find them.
  2. Only if your riding a First Gen then it would be vintage or is that antique
  3. Well just maybe that 67 year old man knows a lot about something no one else knows. If he wants to ride let him ride. I thought riding was what it was all about till I found this nut house and figured out it was about eating.
  4. Jake Wilson has them I just ordered a set the other day.
  5. Got to luv it !
  6. Not sure about the J&M but make sure the mic is turned towards your mouth. The kind I have are two sided.
  7. Thanks found them lol had to call them to do it though. yes 3/32 to wear bar checked the front too and same thing so I'm ordering a new set front and rear. Are the valve stems a standard size need on straight and one 90 deg. $ 293.00 for the set @ Jake Wilson
  8. Just checked to the bottom of center tread depth in several places not sure about wear bars Anyone bought any avons lately couldn't find them listed at jake wilson mc superstore did @ 160.99 for rear
  9. LOL Avon Venom Didn't want to start another tire debate but oh well
  10. Bike related of course My first would have to be my bike. Second my $12 + bucks Which will be due again pretty soon. Third would have to be my Carbon One lift adapter. Great product Larry and a great investment that will more than pay for itself in savings by allowing me to do more of my own work.
  11. I just checked my rear tire and have 3/32's left in the very center groove. Don't think I would want to take a long trip on it but it should last awhile longer. Approx. 12,000 miles on it now with no cracking. How much do you think is left in the life of the tire.
  12. I think this a great idea Randy and should be done on all of our functions. I know it's gruesome thinking but I have wondered since I'm still fairly new here if some emergency was to arise if anyone here would ever know. Because I know if you did you would care. :bighug:We do however keep that information in a red plastic cover tucked inside our helmets just in case.
  13. You still head butting trees with out your helmet on.
  14. I guess we might as well require all elderly to wear a First Alert around there necks. Just think of the time saved when they fall and can't get up because they broke a hip or :stickpoke:Slipped on some wet ROCKS. Might even be handy on the bike. " I've Dropped My Bike and Can't Get it UP ":rotf: Hey where's the beer and popcorn
  15. Yep once your flustered it's game over time to walk away:buttkick:
  16. Yes and NO the drive shaft comes out of the swingarm but the U joint stays up inside the tube and flops down to one side or the other making it a little tedious to stab the drive shaft back in.
  17. You really going for the hard sale aren't you
  18. I never had any luck trying to hold all of that up there and feel for the U joint. Under the swing arm is a rubber plug you can remove and at least get a finger in there on the U joint.
  19. If your talking about removing the driveshaft from the pumpkin or final drive I just pulled mine off without removing anything. Just a pull and a wiggle. I also used a allen wrench that fit the hole where the spring goes on the drive shaft to reinstall the shaft into the u joint then slip the final drive over it.
  20. Trails Inn Full
  21. Was the rear wheel tightened in proper sequence when the new tires were put on?
  22. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Fella Hope you have a great day.
  23. That's some good advice. I own my own truck but started out driving someone Else's for a couple years hauling logs which is considered local. I had the itch to go over the road but after looking into it decided it wasn't for me or my family. There are a lot of jobs out there for drivers but like others have said without experience it's hard to get a good job and almost impossible to get a OTR job without going through someones training course and getting married to them. From what Have read you need to run from C.R. England not sure about P.A.M.. I would recommend giving OOIDA a call and check any companies references before signing anything. You might have to Google it to get there number but they are the Owner Operators Independent Drivers Assn.. Again not trying to discourage you from pursuing something just go into with both eyes wide open.
