Your doing it right from the way it sounds ( never found the pic ) in the flats you are using the screws with the rubber washer You should have some shorter screws for stitching the ribs may be one at the bottom and one or two either halfway or 1/4 th the way then 3/4 way up ridge cap will catch the last one.

It's my understanding that the rake on the Hannigan Trikes is altered. If that's true how can it be compared to a Tour Deluxe wouldn't the change in rake alter the triple tree and handle bar position ?

So did you lose a daughter or gain a son-in law.

The back rest for me relieved the most discomfort on the risers I'm just not sure yet if they help that much they definitely don't hurt. Like mentioned before pay attention to posture are you holding your shoulders up like your ready to jump the Grand Cannon Lol I find myself doing this when I get caught up in whats going on around me trying to watch everyone especially in a strange place. But for me I think the back rest and windshield height were the biggest factors and the back rest fixed the windshield height problem.

I skipped it on the recommendation of my local stealer who I will no longer use for other reasons. But skipped, ignored, or I just plum a@# forgot about it until you mentioned it so thanks for the reminder and the tips. -
Apparently this is a different copy of the dvd. I was on the other list also anyway if you want in on this one Mark we can add you.

If the leather is to expensive maybe and upholstery shop could fab some for you. Take them a few pics of what you want. A one off custom job would be more expensive then if a few of you hannigan riders got together for several sets.

I don't have a trike but just a thought maybe Ace High Leather could make you guys something. I'm assuming your talking about the padded rear fender covers that I see on so many trikes

I think your more typical than you think. I like a nice leisurely ride too but I enjoy a good curvy road also especially on a day when it's just about riding and not getting any where. I just haven't gotten to the skill level on the curves that I would like to be at. After a couple hours I am give out. Maybe one day I will be there but for now a nice flowing road with scenery is the best.

I just installed a set of rear brake pads from Earl well about 4000 miles ago. Earl sent me a set EBC Kevlar pads great stopping power without the grabbing and lock up I had with the stock pads. Not sure on longevity yet but seems like there is more brake dust. But after a couple of panic stops the rear has yet to lock up.

Well forget the cages I got side swiped by a house today. I was headed to the mill with a load of logs when I met a oversize load escort he politely informed me that a 28' load was coming my way and if I would move over they would just squeeze by. So I pulled over to the shoulder and stopped when I saw the house but this a@# didn't even slow down he just keeps coming over to my side to avoid a mailbox on his side. As he just missed my mirrors with the overhang on the house I watched as he passed by my trailer then everything kinda blew up lumber started flying and shingles. Turns out the overhang wasn't the same the whole length of the house. Needless to say I'm pissed I get out and he finally stops 1/4 mile away. To make a long story a little shorter there is no damage to my truck or trailer so I go away still pissed. However on the return trip back I find the house being setup so I stop to lets say relieve some frustration. As I approach the house and crew everyone is staring my way as they recognize the log truck. There in the grass sits a man on his knees we exchange a few words politely for the situation I might add turns out he is the owner of the house moving company just the guy I'm looking for. I keep thinking he will get up but he doesn't and just apologizes and ask if there was any damage and said he usually drives but wasn't today because the DOT had shut him down till he got his federal exemption. Being a truck driver I asked what kind of exemption he replied for these legs. The man literally walked, worked and drove on his knees. Sure is hard to kick a man when he is in that shape and still trying to be a productive citizen.

Nice pics Peg thanks but I just knew you would be getting nominated for a tech award for posting pics and instructions for setting up a tent.
