Christmas eve and I 'm a little put off at what I encountered today. Wife and I went to IHOP, a decent place for breakfast, we have a good one in concord, NC. We finished and the waitress bought our bill, wtitten on the back was "Happy Holidays" so without thinking I said how about a plain old Merry Christmas? she responded by saying they were not allowed to say Merry Christmas. the manager confirmed that the policy came from corporate, So I'm calling corporate to complain but I'm affraid I've lost a decent place to eat (because I do vote with my dollars) Whats your thought?

As of July 1st a company from Kansas, Bickford Senior Living stepped in and took over the management of the Assisted living Community I worked at. To say the transition was a hostal one would be an understatement. Ruthless greed motivated corporate rat B@$tards would be more accurate. They literally threw all of the existing employees and a good many of what they felt were undesirable residents to the street. Including me. So, now I'm considering a career change. I'm thinking about going to Indianapolis and going through CDL training to become an OTR Big rig driver. I've always enjoyed my travel adventures on the road and think I might enjoy seeing the country through the windsheild of a big rig for a while.

INTERESTING OBSERVATION 1. The sport of choice for the urban poor is BASKETBALL. 2 The sport of choice for maintenance level employees is BOWLING. 3 The sport of choice for front-line workers is FOOTBALL. 4 The sport of choice for supervisors is BASEBALL. 5 The sport of choice for middle management is TENNIS. And.... 6 The sport of choice for corporate executives and officers is GOLF. THE AMAZING CONCLUSION: The higher you go in the corporate structure, the smaller your balls become. There must be a ton of people in Ottawa playing marbles! O0H YES !!!!

Anyone here read the story that Zimmerman, the mechanic, in Motorcycle Cruiser Magazine, had about the Harley Davidson corporate executives? Makes them sound like incompetent and corrupt are their bylaws.

Screw the corporate overlords. If they will not take reponsibility for disintegrating tires, and my possible death, or the death of any rider, they can go to hell. Do car tires work on first gens? I'm ready. If someone starts a class action lawsuit, I'm all over it.

I realize this ain't bike related but I know some of you work in the corporate IT field and am hoping to get some guidance / feedback. As many of you know, I am the "network admin" at my company. We are running an out-dated version of Symantec Antivirus. It's a corporate version centrally managed on a server. While the software is out of date, I can still get updated virus definitions but I'm feeling a bit "insecure" about it. I'm wondering what ya'll are using in your corporate environment ... pro's/con's ... any info you can give me. I prefer not to again use Symantec or McAfee.
