When we bought the 08 I went to the dealer with the VIN and he did the transfer while I was sitting there. The others are correct, 5 years from the in service date. There is no warranty card you get, but it will show when they service your bike.

My daughter started riding last year at the age of 21. I suggested the MSF course which she took and did very well with. I tried to point her towards a cruiser but she'd have none of that. She did however ask for my help and advise on which bike she should start on, after looking at at least 20 bikes she bought a Suzuki GS500F, it's light, easy to handle, not too fast for a beginner and sits more like a sport tourer than a crotch rocket. Were I to have argued about her choice of bikes she'd have gone and got whatever and gone off riding on her own. For the first month she agreed to only ride with me along. I taught her lane placement and all the other things she'd need to survive on these crazy roads. I must say, she has become a pretty darn good rider and does ride with safety in mind. she's been with two boyfriends who are new riders and both have been down or dropped their bikes, Sarah has done neither. All our years of snowmobiling had prepared her for the move to two wheels. She's rode sleds since she was big enough to squeeze the throttle of the Kitty Kat snowmobile I bought her when she was 5 years old. She took her first multi-day ride this past weekend and had a ball.

You got off easy. I almost had to buy my wife a new dishwasher after washing the engine cases and cylinders from my lawn tractor while rebuilding the engine. I won't be doing that again

No... the back tire fell off! Actually, the only thing missing is the rear sprocket and axle shaft. Not quite as good as the Q2B Federal siren I found but it will be fun. No I won't be at freebirds, I have a wedding to go to at the other end of Ohio I'll still be riding though

I got this fine scoot today, it needs a little TLC but should make a fun toy. I found it at the curb with the trash while on my way to move a boat. It's got compression & spark so it should run.

Autozone loans a bearing puller to get them out. You're going to need it. All Balls Bearing kit 12-5545 comes with bearings and seals. Just got done doing it on my '01

I did the L bracket fix and it should last for the life of the bike. The zip ties look like a good quick fix but probably wont last long, you'll be in there over & over changing broken ties. -
Anyone still have their rear shock leftover from your conversion? I'm looking for one.

May be raccoon's also, if it is the babies are noisy and will make a stinky mess in there. Put a radio turned up loud in the hearth, leave it there till they leave, they don't like the noise.

If Condor does not want that shock I could sure use it, the shock on my '01 is on it's last leg.

Most trike covers won't fit, they are a little too short in length and width. Look at the specs for the cover.

He's up near Cadillac joe. Sunday I'm doing a charity ride, we'll be going to Hell and back. 5 stops along the way and it will be a Dice run, similar to a poker run I guess. I can't, got a birthday party a 2pm for one of the grandkids.

I retired in 09 after 32 years with the company, 1st year was working on the Honey-do list. Then got into construction for a while but didn't like the travel. Now I work 7 hour days 3-4 days a week maintaining the building and equipment at a local private girls high school, quiet and easy work after 32 years in a tier 1 stamping plant, quiet and easy is good They are very flexible, if I want time off it's usually not a problem. Good Luck in your semi retirement.
