Like Monty said earlier, "some people would argue with you, if you said, the sky was blue" I don't take any of it to heart Not to many bikes I wouldn't /haven't ridden. Sportsters suzukis triumphs yamahas (hondas... although that 350 69' was a top heavy POS) and just about got me kilt! They're all good... beats the heck out of walkin or riding around in a cage!

Cabreco "Maybe a better design cradle would be better IF the drivetrain is able to tow (rear wheel down) without issues. Something like this maybe?" That looks dooable if it can take the extra weight??? there's a big difference between weight of a vmax and an RSV. LOL Other thing i would change is the tie down staps... They are totally in the wrong position and wouldn't prevent the bike from just flopping over. If a bar with looped ends(for straps) was welded to the end of the cradel that is pictured sitting on the ground, and stuck out about 16" on each side, it might just work? Would have to be Beefed up in my opinion, to work on a RSV. Of course this is assuming you don't have a flat back tire.. or locked tranny? The best overall solution is a trailer... Now a light weight trailer, consisting of basically channel steel, axel, tongue and 15" fendered tires would be the ticket if the bikes in one piece... Ill see if i can find the link... they make one that works for jet skis, snow mobiles, motorcycles four wheelers If its in pieces, you'll need a trailer with a bed... Guess it all depends on the condition of the bike:confused24: PS if you do go the cradel route, add the bar as i suggested and make sure the straps are attached to the bottom of the forks... This way it will allow your front suspension to work and protect your bike... Good point Tx2sturgis!

Just something to add... Here in WV the towns and cities are over run by deer. You've got to be very careful driving through Ripley after Dusk and before Sunrise. A cross bow is about the only logical way to thin the herd. Due to noise constraints and projectile travel. I believe they are also more humane to hunt with, than regular bows, as most bow hunters don't practice enough... (that by the way, includes me)

How bout keeping the threads motorcycle related? I know, I know... there'd still be arguments...but they'd be fewer and farther between... When one asks for advice while he's working on a bike... they're normally, truly stuck... and "want to hear" a variety of views and opinions.

Sylvester, Sweet revolver... same one John Wayne used in Brannigan back in 75 flyinfool..."Last year deer hunting there was a doe staggering around with an obviously broken leg. The MI DNR would not allow us to put it down. Oh well, I'm sure the wolves or coyotes will find her tasty. " My personal opinion is that the people in DNR, don't know jack ---- when it comes to compassion.. so i don't ask them... Had a large buck in Sand creek, obviously in distress two days after buck season closed, a couple a years ago... as it couldn't get out of the creek and was failing around. My wife told me about it and 20 min later I laid him to rest with the 30-06. It was the right thing to do. Better to ask forgiveness than permission... i felt better about it anyways... and, so did my wife... can't stand any animal to be in pain...

Brake Pad "Poor Vis, and most of our Florida drivers, Drive like F****** idiots !!!!!!! " Agreed... I've traveled coast to coast and can tell you it's out of control especially on the Florida turnpike around Miami... You'd think with all the state budget woes, the police would be making money off of these idiots "hand over fist"... SOCK IT TO THEM! The beltway around Washington DC use to be my "worst" road to travel...

Don, Do you have hard water? Like Tx2sturgis said the crud in a water tank can't be flushed out by merely draining the tank.... I've got a few of rental units and extreemely hard water. Once every three or 4 years I have to pull the tank, put it on the taligate of my pickup, with the drain facing out and hook up a water hose with shutoff valve to the cold water line. ( use an iron pipe to water hose fitting). next remover the drain valve. I use a 2' long piece of copper ground wire to push into the drain hole and loosen up the calcium while the water is on. On electric Tanks its faster as you can remove lower element. Every time i do this the calcium is 4-5 inches deep. On electric tanks its easy to know when it needs done as when the calcium gets above the element it will get too hot and burn out. Be careful on the rust aspect of this... it could be that you have a rusted coldwater galvanized pipe nipple on the top of your tank, normally 3" and connects your tank to your input line. My daughters rusted completly out and burst flooding her basement... hers was only 12 years old. I replaced the tank the nipples and the 18" x 3/4" braided lines above the tank. 17 years on a water tank! your running on borrowed time...

I agree about having the codes checked ... but Anytime you have a check engine light immediately check your oil level and anti-freeze as these are the two things that can seize you engine up.... If I had to GUESS.... Its either a loose defective gas cap, You got bad gas I noticed your from IL... put a can of dry gas in, a bad oxygen sensor, or even something as simple an indication that you need to change your oil?
