  1. Wow, don't know where your headed but the average here in the states is around $60... Do you stop at the travel plazas and get the lodging info... ? also a lot of the electronic billboards change hourly depending upon how late and how many vaceincies they have... some go to $29 a nite for the same room you'd have paid $59 or more. Tenting wouldnt be too awful bad on a dry cool night but on a wet or hot and humid night i'll take the hotels AC anytime.. Specially in Florida where the gators are out looking for snacks...LOL My nephew also swears by that priceline.com you know the one that has captain kirk and that big hairy thug? says he gets 4 and 5 star rooms for the price of a 3 stars almost every time?
  2. Wow............... Now why did i feel the need to click on that thumbnail... I'm gonna have elf mares! Your one sick puppy Monty... I think we need an emotion con that says "This thread would be better without pictures!
  3. ""The RAZR dies in about 10 seconds,” he said. “Our phone we continue to film for about an hour." And how long is a washing machine cycle???
  4. not that expensive... in fact pretty reasonable... http://www.motorcycle.com/specs/ducati/standard/2011/monster/696.html A Ducati Monster 696: 0-60 mph: 3.92 sec. top speed 120-132 depending on source +1 on having him take the advanced rider course...
  5. bongobobby "Green Bay and New England..." Well, if your gonna jump ahead like that,... I'd like to see a matchup between the Ravens and the Packers:missingtooth:
  6. "I bet he couldve stood there for 5 seconds or more before throwing, and he often did. I dont know of many teams that can cover receivers for 5 seconds one on one. " Kiesel was out early harrison couldn't do it all himself... "Denvers D put up 5 sacks, and was in Roethlisbergers face all day." Rothelsbergers gimpy ankel(which by the way would not have gotten 100 percent till end of April) kept him in the pocket combine that with Pouncy being Out, not protecting him and the icening on the cake: Mendenthal was out with a torn ACL.. He is by the way the "Steelers running game", kinda of like taking Ray Rice (Ravens)out of a running game Without the running option Ben couldn't mix it up and was forced to throw... Guess ya gotta work with what ya got and that wasn't enough... No use crying about spilt milk...
  7. Completing 10 of 21 passes is Pinpoint passing? threw what? a total of 8 yrds in the first Quarter? He did complete the one that really counted though, and that my friends is all that truly matters. He will get better though, reminds me of a younger Big Ben the way he has a knack of extending plays and his 245 lb. demeanor. It's extreemly doubtful the Steelers could have made the SB anyway with all the injuries they have. Rothelsburger, Kiesel, Mendenhall... POUNCY? to many injuries to really make a good go at it... A team must peak at the right time and be Healthy... Oh well, there's always next year... to borrow a phase from the "gubernator" We'll be back! Until then, RAVENS... PATRIOTS... SAINTS... PACKERS... What say you?
  8. BradT "I hope these windshields are good with all the BS that is being slung at them " My thoughts exactly...Amusing to say the least...
  9. cougar" Don, very strange. It has only happend to me on this site. Then on to click from this page , it will go back to normal it only happens after a post as well. It has been a while but I manage to get a pic this time. " Mines been doing the exact same thing ... for the past couple weeks... Doing it on all three computers of my running IE 7. Two of the computers are brand new with 4 Gig RAM... Using Hughes Net
  10. Sorry, I don't get it????
  11. One of Rothelsbergers wheels was broken off..LOL I don't think they will fair as well against a healthy Tom Brady... Regardless; it was an Excellent game, and, I believe Mr Tebow Has a bright future ahead of him, if, of course, he quits depending on the Hail Marys to save the day... LOL Hey it's all good!
  12. BongoBobby...you ol horse trader...
  13. A big windshield would just slow you first Genners down anyway...
  14. Penny and I will pray for a successful surgery and quick recovery.
  15. black owl "Sheez... Maybe we needs us a special place here on the site for all us retired folk so we don't make the working class members too upset..... :rotfl:" Yup...my thoughts exACTLY:bang head:
  16. the only thing I've found that helps with the "sit bones" once they get sore is an Air Hawke... http://www.airhawkseatcushions.net/c-7-airhawk-motorcycle-cushions.aspx?&pagesize=999999 I also have a sheepskin cover... Unless of course he wants to buy a +$500 seat... With the pillow top on the 07 RSV though, I haven't had to use either...
  17. Haven't used that particular one. the thing about gel seats though, is if the gel is close to the vinyl top, it's gonna get extreemely hot in the sun... you will have to cover it up with something... If not ya better test it with your hand before you saddle up...
  18. I done it too... put about 150 miles on the bike today 60 deg weather here. That won't last... I have sawdust on her most of the time. Doesn't seem to bother me though...
  19. Trailer the bike down, let your wife and realtor pick the house while ride with us... After all... Exactly how much say, do you expect to have in this, or, any home purchase... If your in the keys between the 26th and the 30th, keep an eye out here and maybe the group can meet up with you and your wife for dinner?
  20. Congratulations Steve.... Us retired folks have to stick together...
  21. Congratulations Dave I retired 3 years ago and still have to pinch myself every morning!!!!
  22. Just make sure you put the bulk of the weight in front of, or directly over axel. Never place heavy onject(s) behind axel. General rule is 10-15% of the weight your towing should be on the tongue to avoid the dreadder "tail wagging the dog"... I've seen a lot of Uhauls with the 55mph limit on them... Believe it's a CYA thing as you get all kinds of people loading them. and the troubles seem to manifest themselves at higher speeds... Let me share this with ya... On the way back from Illinois this July a truck and trailer pulled onto the interstate in right lane. As it approached 65 mph it started weaving violently back and forth almost hitting me. The guy let off the gas the trailer straigntended out and I though he was going to pull over and adjust his load. To my suprise, he started going faster and once again at around 65mph the trailer started weaving sideways back and forth.. at this point i was honking my horn and flashing my lights for him to pull over. It was two young kids 18 or 19 trying to get a pickup back home. I asked em if the pickup ran and they said sure... Told em if they drove it off the trailer and then pulled the truck back onto the trailer it would tow just fine.... (they had backed the truck into the trailer and the engine was behind the axle) it was either that or drive below 60mph... they decided to get off at the next exit and take truck off and put it in right.
  23. Use a standard bathroom scale... Just build two ramps and have the scales/board/pipe setup perpendicular to the bike... then roll portion of the bike you want to weigh over the center mark on board... http://www.curtmfg.com/index.cfm?event=pageview&contentpieceid=1347
  24. Good catch Black owl. I'd have to wonder if we didn't consider the "1776" though, when we decided to go along with the rest of the world ? Before that it was 17, for the number of states in America... I believe it could be partially true... The folding of the flag is spot on. But the folds were given meaning long after we started folding it that way.
  25. Poll results. Votes March 1 - 12th-16th 2 - 19th-23rd 2 - 26th-30th 10 - No preference So... we're going to go with the 26th thru the 30th as one of the voters for the 19-23 actually perferred that date. Hig4s is also going to be there that week, although they will be in a c a g e and No I don't know why??? LOL Am truly sorry I couldn't pull off a date where everyone could attend, although I did try....The main concern, revolved around the fact that early March for the folks up north, is totally unpredictable. Will post on the calendar tonight. Update... Calendar is up ! Thanks Joe
