    The other reason i went with Jake Wilson, is dates stamped on tires. The front tire i ordered earlier last year was only 3 months old... Seems they turn over their inventory quickly and keep a fresh stock of tires...

I dont know what i was thinking, my 650 vstar custom 2005 takes a 15 inch also 170/80-15 (77H) Dunlop D404 Rear Motorcycle Tire Fits: 2005 YAMAHA V-Star 650 Custom Part# 1200470005 Our price: $103.99 so theoretically since the first number is width... i could run a 15 inch E3 on my 650...it would just be a little narrower 150 instead of 170?...     Well besides the fact I just got back from a ride to Pickenfreds house... hummmm... I'd have to say MD at Freebirds and meeting Kirby his wife, Skydoc17 and to many great people to mention ... And the Trip to the international rally in Cody Wy.... Where I rode with tom and his wife, Kirby and his wife, Bubber and his wife, Ponch and Lil bit and once again to many great people to mention... It was "All Good" And I'm gearing up as we speak to hit the road again tomorrow morning to start the New Year off right! LOL ONe thing that I gotta ask of everyone though, for this upcomming year... and that is NO wrecks or Accidents.... PLEASE Next year will even be better as I plan to attend Spring break florida keys, of course MD, and Big Toms International Rally in NY. Currently watching the Three Stooges on direct tv channe"l 559 they will be on till 6am although i'll be in bed long before that..."NuYk, NuYk, NuYk" , " Whats the Matter with you", "wait a minute, say aaahh!" "Whoop, Whoop, Whoop, Whoop, Whoop, Whoop, Whoop" HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    I've spent over $120.00 for new name brand L/A's and barely get two seasons out of them (using tenders) before replacing them. Well thats the thing, the owner of the interstate battery shop in Ravenswood, WV said, "all you could really hope for is about 3 years??? "

    Bought my bike 3/2010 battery was kaput! was an old 4 wheeler battery PO put in to make her run. ok fine put a new OEM battery in for $112 from the stealership, ya I know what I got Went out today and nothing... the dash didnt even light up Put on a charger for about 4 hrs at 10 amps and only enough to turn lights on and the dreaded clicking noise... Went to interstate battery and they confirmed it was DOA $77 later I had a new battery. Owner said I should buy one of his battery tenders for $25 and it would turn off and on topping the battery off. Somehing about .075 millamps very slow charge. Said if I did that every time I parked it, that it would extend the life of the battery. Have always been a firm believer in you get what you pay for so.... is a battery tender brand so much better than the ones for $12 or the HF $7 centurion?

    Quite possibly the petcock or line is leaking spray it with foot powder. Its almost impossible to see wet gas even with a strong light. if it's coming out your overlflows(puddle on floor) you've either have a stuck float or dirt in between the float needle valve and seat or if it's comming out of carbs or lines(puddles on transmission)" try spray on foot powder and a trouble light with a 100 watt bulb? spray around carb bases and lines. or if it's going into your tranny... Make sure you check your engine oil sight glass and open filler cap and check. this would indicate a stuck float or dirt in between the floats needle valve and seat and clogged or pinched overflow line.

    I'm assume the first gens have both an ignition lock and padlock lugs? As heavy as these bilkes are, if you utilize both it's not very likely that it will come up missing. If your afraid of someone messing with it while you are traveling, some very good advice was offered by one of our members. Throw a battery powered baby monitor in the trunk.... Then you'll sleep like a baby...

    With the warm temps there will be a lot of bikes on the road this weekend. http://www.weather.com/maps/activity/travel/usweatherday3_large.html Especially Saturday. If your traveling try to get to your destination before 6pm. Quite a few like to start drinking early. Be safe... Happy New Years!
