  1. A good set of after market pipes stops that whine completely.
  2. I got mine a week after I ordered it. Perhaps they had it instock as they make them to order.
  3. Welcome aboard. Wow! A very nice looking ride. How many miles was on it when you bought it?
  4. I'm with you man! As funny as this may sound...I am too scared to take my wife riding with me. Just the thought of getting in an accident with her on the back is something I know that I would never forgive myself for. She does go with me, not often though because she has to work on Sundays when I ride with my group. But, I still worry so, when I do take her. Is that a little strange?
  5. I ordered a set of Kuryakn Longhorn forward crusing pegs. The package arrive yesturday and I got the big ready to install them. I opened the box...and guess what? I got a set of Harly Davidson rear riders extened pegs! Rats! Called the vendor, and they said someone transposed one number and I get screwed. Anyway, they are paying postage to return and are sending the right part this time...Well that;s what they say. I just freaken hate it when this crap happens.
  6. Thanks for the info! Mark:thumbsup:
  7. I was looking at purchasing the J&M radio for my RSTD but I was shocked on how much they cost! I wanted the unit for dual riders and it's $359.00! Is it made of gold or something? Does anyone have any experiece with this unit and how do you like it? Can you give me the Good and the Bad about this unit? Does the am/Fm radio work good? I use a shorty helmet a Scorpin 100 and I was concerned about wind noise and the microphone...is that an issue with this product. Any information, good or bad would be appreciate greatly. Thanks mark:think:
  8. Thanks for the info, but they are kinda lame T-shirts
  9. I wan't to purchase the Kuryaken Long Horn highway pegs but I don't know what clamps size to order. I want to install on the engines guards just in front of the front floor boards. ANyone know for my 07 RSTD? Thanks:doh:
  10. Waring>>>warning these are not dot approved devices. They could come unstapped in an crash:255:
  11. I had a 2001 Sporty for about 3 months and sold it becuase it didn't have the rubber mounted engine and about 40 minutes of riding it I was so numb from the vibration. I thin bought a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard M50, it was a nice riding bike, then got the Harley bug and bought a 2008 HD Dyna Lowrider. Put lots of money in it for upgrades it was a nice bike for short trips around town. Took a long trip 400+ miles with a group and after about 5+ hours of seat time I couldn't go any further. One of the folks in our group had a 2007 RSV with his wife and they looked so comfortable and was still ready to go. Long story short, the HD is gone and I'm on a 2007 RSTD and loving it.
  12. +1 with Freebird. I love my clearview and the vent is all that. Ces in handy when it gets hot out.
  13. I am satisfied with my RSTD! It fits my budget and is what I wanted. Sure beats the heck out of my HD. That's why I. Traded it for my RSTD. However, if I. Had the money to burn, I would like to get a Wing.
  14. Hey Freebird, lets have it down my way in West Palm Beach, Florida!!! I welcome you all!
  15. Oh come on guys, that was just my opinion. No need to get ugly. In fact, I traded my 2008 HD Lowrider for an 07 RSTD because I always wanted a HD, but once I got it, I quickly found out that it was not what I wanted that's after spending about $3K worth of accessories. The RSTD is a much better riding bike and I enjoy riding it however, if I had the $$$ I know I would up grade to a Goldwing. I'm sorry if my comment made anyone angry, but I thought this was a open form and all opinions are welcomed, perhaps I'm wrong. Mark
  16. My 2 cents...It's all about money. Isn't everything? If we all had $ 30K in or hands and was told to by the bike of our dreams, I would bet my socks that half of us would be riding Ultra Classics and the other half would be riding Goldwings.
  17. Why all the concenr about bar end weights? I replace my grips with Yamaha custom grips and discarded the end weights. I do not feel any difference in vibration at all. None.
  18. My wife complains that the back rest on my 07 RSTD is uncomfortable. I attend to agree. It sits you too straight up and has no recline. The two back rest rizers also should be possioned about two inches rearward. Has anyone else have the issue? Is there a fix? Would a Venture rear seat set-up work on a RSTD? Any assistance to could afford would be helpful. Thanks
  19. My wife says the back rest on my 07 RSTD is too unconfortable. I must attend to agree. It sets you too straight up and makes you slide forward. I was wondering if anyone has the same complaint? If the rear back rest support bars and risers wher back another 2 inches I think it would be much more comforatable. Any suugestions? Thanks Mark:fingers-crossed-emo
  20. Easy, thanks for the info. Where did you purchase yours?
  21. Does anyone know what cables must be replaced when installing the bars? Thanks for any info you can give. Mark
  22. How hard of a job is this to do? I do most of the work on my 06 RSTD but have not gotten inside the engine. Anything special about this project, ie.; special tools, do you have to jack the bike up. etc. Thanks
  23. Love the fairing! Where did you get it? Does it come with a mounting kit? Thanks mark
  24. I had them installed on my Harley before I sold it. They work great, but I blew the igniter and couldn't find a replacement so I went back to stock. All-in-all I don't think it's worth all the money and time just to have cool looking head lights. Oh, bye-the-way, you will have no high beam.
