  13. It really got cold down here! In the 30's and for south florida..that just isn't right. We Floriadians do not have the cloths to ride in this type of weather. It will warm up soon..the cold never last long. Mark
  14. I got one a couple of weeks ago, or maybe months, anyway I think it is an excellent product. I got mine a couple of inches smaller than stock, should of got it smaller. It comes with lowers and it is just the sheild only. It was farely easy to install. It fitted perfect. The vent is well worth it especially in summer heat..the vent allows air to flow and get you cooler. I would recommend it. I have it installed on my 07 RSTD. I have posted picture here some time ago. Mark

  16. it's attractive but I'll wait till the cost comes down
  17. January 6, 2010 2:45 PM PST CES: Garmin debuts Zumo 665 motorcyle GPS by Antuan Goodwin Font size Print E-mail Share Post a comment Yahoo! Buzz Share http://i.i.com.com/cnwk.1d/i/bto/20100106/zumo-665-1.jpg (Credit: Garmin) LAS VEGAS--Most of our readers are pretty familiar with Garmin's Nuvi line of in-car GPS navigators, but most have never heard of the manufacturer's Zumo line of motorcycle GPS devices. At CES 2010, Garmin has added a new top-of-the-line model, the Zumo 665. The 665 replaces the previous Zumo flagship, the 660, but almost matches the previous unit spec for spec. Both units have the same 4.3-inch WQVGA touch screen, removable, rechargeable lithium ion battery, and waterproof construction. Both feature Bluetooth hands-free calling with A2DP stereo audio streaming. Dig a little deeper and you'll find that the new 665 boasts a better battery life (up to five hours versus the 660's three), but the biggest change is the switch to XM NavTraffic and weather from the soon-to-be-defunct MSN Direct network used by the older unit. A cool byproduct of the XM traffic integration is that the Zumo 665 can also stream XM Radio programming through its integrated speaker or to Bluetooth-connected headphones or helmet headsets. Combining an XM Radio tuner and a waterproof GPS device in one housing makes us feel a little better about the Zumo 665's $999 MSRP, but not much. The Zumo 665 motorcycle GPS navigation device is currently available.
  18. How do you remove the stock grips? I what to install the Kuryaken ISO but wanted to know how the old grips come off? Is there a thottle sleeve under the throttle grip? Thanks
  19. Cool story. I live in South Florida and recenty traded my 08 Harlely Low Rider for a 07 RSTD, The Low Rider is a nice riding bike, but sucks for long rides. I just love my RSTD...the smoothness is so nice. Your right about the flat land scape, get kinda boring. But we can ride year around. Well, kinda, it has been cold here lately. We got a freeze warning tonight! You also right about the heat from the engine. It is a booger in the summer time. There are so man Harley's down here...very seldom do I see a Venture ar a RSTD. I hope you had a good time while you were here and come again! Mark

  21. I got the Ultamate seat on my 07 RSTD and there is no butt problems here. It is the best seat I ever owned. http://www.ultimateseats.ca/images/2520_lg2.jpg
  22. Being a rather new RSTD owners, I wanted to know if there is any interest in a local meet and Eat for Venture and RSTD owners. If you live in the area, and would like to meet other owners in the local area please send me your contact information. Hopefully, we can get something going here. PLEASE RESPOND IF INTERESTED! THANKS MARK
  23. Thanks for the info...I'm not swetting it now! Happy new year Mark:173:
  24. I purchased my 07 RSTD about 3 months ago used from a Harley dealer. I was reading on the YAmaha website about the warrenty and it said I had ten days to register the bike at a Yamaha deAler which I haven,t done. Do you think I will have problems when I take it for warrenty repAirs? Does the deAlers ask for proof of warrenty? Mark
