  1. I used to have a 99 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 1500 and join a Vulcan Riders group. Now that I have a Venture, I would like to get together & ride with some Venture Riders. Are any of you in the Omaha, NE area and would like to ride together sometime? craigr
  2. Took a Vulcan Voyager 1700 out for ride at Detroit Bike Week today. VERY nice bike. I think it blows the Venture away in handling and ride. Real nice dash. Gobs of power. Man when you bang second gear, yikes, she takes off. Makes me think about a new bike.
  3. A friend of mine has a 1996 Kaw 800 Vulcan. Does anybody know what size CT his bike would use?
  4. Can someone tell me if the handlebars off of a Kawasaki vulcan will fit a 06 venture?
  5. I'm thinking hard about adding another bike or trading my Road Star and I was pretty much decided on a Yamaha Roadliner or Stratoliner; but then I started researching the Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 and it's definitely in the mix now. I was just wondering if anyone has owned both or had a chance to ride both to compare them in power, riding position and comfort. I've been on a Liner a couple of times and would be happy with one but I'm understanding that the Vulcan gives a little more room to stretch out and a lower seat height. Anyone?
  6. Anyone ever ridden one etc?
  7. Just doing a little maintenance on my son's, new to him, bike. Picked up a free 2007 Vulcan 900 Custom with 3200 miles. Swapped out the frame and going back together. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n315/rlyons_photos/Vulcan/Vulcan.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n315/rlyons_photos/Vulcan/Vulcan3.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n315/rlyons_photos/Vulcan/Vulcan4.jpg

I still ordered the 424 mufflers though. here's the video [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R498Yy7nyvA]YouTube- Go Pro HD Full HD1080p: 1920x1080[/ame]
  10. Does anyone know of manufacturer that has smaller levers for bikes? My wife's Vulcan 900 has too much reach for her to be comfortable riding.
  11. Hey Folks, I know there are a few of us that have other bikes. Seeing I am still layed off I am trying to pick up some extra work doing maintenance on other motorcycles. I have a fella that has an '08 Vulcan and wants a rear tire and oil change. I wanted to see if any of our members have had one and what the filter is like to get at. Just so I can accurately quote it for him, any advice for me?
  12. Hi all, I just posted my wife's Kawaski Vulcan Classic in the classifieds if anyones looking for a nice bike. She's always been up and down about riding and she need ssome work done on her teeth so she figured she'd rather have a purty smile than the bike at this point. Besides, I always have a place for her on the back of the Venture!
  13. The 87 is again on ebay and if she stays in the garage... get your parts lists ready...the chop shop will be open. The markland hitch will be listed sometime this week along with a like new brown saddle, backrest pad, a collector I bought from Hess I never installed, etc. I had planned on a RSV but the Vulcan Voyager has my intrest being a ex-05 Nomad owner, but it is hard to beat the smooth ride and power of the Yamaha engine. Regards Dave
  14. I will be getting my bike within 2 weeks. Got my other bike stolen and was thinking of buying the Venture S 2008. Some people are saying when you are at low gear and need to turn the bike is hard to maneuver. Is this so? I use to have a Vulcan LT and had no problem whatsoever with corners or whatever. Just curious on people owning the Venture what you think. cheers

  16. Hurricane Fay has been an unwelcomed intruder into FL for the past week! When she came to north FL 3 days ago and shut the county down, I spent 2 very enjoyable days in my garage & completed 3 installs on my 01 red Venture that I never had the time to tackle! The rack & guards are typical but the driver's backrest was a challenge! A few weeks ago I had a Kawasaki 1600 Vulcan Nomad in my garage and was very impressed with the substantial passenger back rest (sissy bar pad). That same day I happen to check for similar items on ebay and found and bought a new/used one off an 07 Vulcan for $40.00! It feels great while sitting on it in the garage but whenever Fay decides to leave us alone I will be excited to get the RSV out on the road with the new goodies on her! Next will be the tach, xenon H4 bulb, the votage thingamajig so I can add more lighting, etc, etc :>) Having trouble uploading photos here but here are some on this link: http://ebay-misc-auctions.blogspot.com/2008/08/dads-rec-stuff.html
  17. Well, my wife (Debbi) and I will be leaving tomorrow morning on our first long bike trip. Leaving Edmonton, Alberta around 7am. Will be going into Regina, Sask. and Rouleau, Sask. where Corner Gas is filmed. The we are off to Billings, Montana, then Butte, and then Great Falls. From there, back up to Canada to Vulcan, Alberta and then home. Now, because of the crappy weather we have been having, we might do Vulcan first and to Rouleau on Sunday. Anyway, just though I would post in case anyone wanted to meet up for coffee alone the way. I won't have a computer with me however, feel free to text me at 780-920-5249 (do not enter a 1 at the beginning because text messaging is not long distance). Don't be shy, text me. Would love to meet some members along the way. Now, lets all bow our heads and pray for some NICE WEATHER. Hope to see some of you soon.
