  1. Yea, yea, but with the 2Gen you don't have to keep going back and picking up parts like you do with a 1Gen so the 2 Gen will usually get to destination first.:crackup:
  2. The picture with the wagon looks..., well..., eh..., er..., never mind. :big-grin-emoticon:
  3. Let me get this straight, It's suppose to stand up on it's own. It can move in any direction. Since it can stand up on it's own, there would be no need for handlebars that turn or leaning into a turn. What keeps the rider from being spit off like riding a mechanical bull?? Passenger restraints???:think:
  4. Will these braces fit a Vmax?
  5. Best wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery. Get well soon.
  6. Good for you Tom. I have never heard of anyone of the PGR ever having said they wished they never joined. It just does me good to be able to stand for those who have stood for us. Find out who the mentors are in your area and stick close to them. They may not have all the answers but they will certainly help you find someone who does. All you really need to know is in having respect for the fallen and their families. Sunglasses help too!!
  7. Hope all works out for ya'll. Keep in touch.
  8. Congratulations!! Sure looks like a big ol' heathly boy. Stay off your feet and take it easy for awhile, you deserve it!
  9. "Mid size" must mean length, width, height, and weight because we're already riding a 1300 CC four banger! This doesn't even come close. I agree, this one's just fugly!
  10. Couldn't go that far without a bathroom stop. Us old geezers have to pee too often. :crying:
  11. When I make a hitch, I was planning on making it to swivel up and down, but not turn. If you keep the swivel wheel you should be OK. But what do I know? I've never pulled a trailer. On second thought, you may get a lot of wheel shimmy with the swivel. Just a thought.
  12. Sounds good. I just think there are some things that ought not to be messed with, but I respect their right to sing it their way. Personally, nothing beats the way it was written and sung originally.
  13. 2 Gen???????
  14. Here's a company online that says they even do overnight service. http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/PROD/Kit6971
  15. Since Outcast was stuck in SC with a front wheel bearing gone bad, it got me to thinking. Wouldn't it be a good thing if we could do some research and see if parts could be found that would work in a pinch such as this. I'm thinking most bearings could be cross matched with something from the automotive line or even heavy equipment house. Is there some way to use the oem part number and find out what the actual dimensions are for a given bearing, such as the front wheel bearing without having to dismantle someone's bike to measure the bearing? I think this could turn out to be a good thing if someone is broke down far from home on the weekend. As was stated in the other post, most metric dealers are closed on Sunday and Monday. What if a bearing could be had from, God forbid I would even suggest this, a Harley dealer! A lot of them are open on Sundays.
  16. About the same here on my OEM 404.
  17. I only mentioned the KLR 650 because of the OP mentioned funding, and the fact of maybe some off pavement. If money's no object, I'd vote for the Super Tenere.
  18. Take the bearing to a parts house and see if they can cross match the bearing.
  19. Maybe a Kawasaki KLR650?
  20. What about Liquid Nails?
  21. I think Yamaha may be smarter than we are giving them credit. After all is said and done, they probably figured it was cheaper to offer and honor a 5 year warranty than to build a completely new model at this time. Give it a few more years until the world wide economy picks up, then you'll probably get a new model.
  22. I agree totally. Plus the fact that in my area you don't see an RSV everytime you turn the corner. I guess you could say it's "unique", like me!
  23. I agree.
