PS why not just find a nice differential, say out of a Toyota or Dotsan, and just trike it???
-
Wow Gary!!! That's incredible how much you have lost!! Arre you trying to use a straw for clothing??? Congratulations! Sorry, no photos of a Voyager kit but I know lots of members that have them like Aussie Annie. I think she is out of touch for as few days though. All I know is we have a ball on our trike but I do miss 2 wheels so I guess I better get Goldie revived soon!!

Motorcycle Tom and us saw this in a parking lot this afternoon. Cracked us up!!!

Of course we wil be there as soon as MRAF gets here to pick up his Tach! If we aren't there when you are ready to leave just come over here first. Motorcycle Tom, and Joe Nesamon will also be riding with us! We went past your place a couple of hours ago on our way to ice cream. Thought I'd show MC Tom where you live!!!!

They are a tall bike and topheavy at low speeds, but no where near as top heavy as a 2nd gen! Experience talking here. Once you get used to the geometry of the bike you may never want to go back to HD, especially 2 up. They are one of the most comfortable bikes around and yes, the 1st gens have a heart of a sport bike!!!

Cruise Control on First Gen

That's very interesting because my '84, with factory cruise, has the same "Born on" date... -

I was thinking mercury switch but they were too hard to locate, so I went to Radio Shack and bought a package of 4 m omentary contact normally closed switches for 3 bucks. I simply took some plastic scraps I had laying around from a busted up fairing and fabricated a striker and a switch mount and epoxied them in place. The problem with the touch on lights is it's waaaay too easy to forget to shut them off...

Anyone interested in a day long ride around SE Ont?
bongobobny replied to 6m459's topic in Watering Hole
Sounds good to us depending on the date!!! -
Tell them you want full book value or the car replaced with the same make and model. And, you are entitled to a per diem towards rental plus storage of your vehicle. Remember Insurance adjusters are the scum of the earth right up there with lawyers and politicians. They are NOT in business to give money away, but rather to save their company money, of which they get a percentage of. NEVER NEVER NEVER agree to their first offer, instead laugh at it!! The longer you hold off the more money you will get.

Intro and a few newbie questions

As far as why rebuild calipers, well, how well do you trust 20+ year old seals??? -
Funny you should say that Patti, that's EXACTLY what Becky said when we were following him on the Thursday ride...
-
I have to admit that my first thought was to mount one on the lid and have it shine down, but I figured that at least one of the three would not be buried where they are now. I'm looking into those trunk lid organizers next. I can always drill another hole into the striker plate and fill in the hole on the switch holder and switch it around so the lid lights up but we'll see how it works out first. Next step is to do the trike trunk, and I already have the hot and ground wires routed into it. Next obstacle is the switch location and how to trigger it. Already have some lights to mount...

Trunk lights!!!!

Mine just came today, and they definately have flaws in the finish!! Looks like the plastic had the flaws and it really came out during the plating. They look fine though, and yes, they are the same as the Stebel and Wolo, and like the Stebel do not have the chrome cover over the top of the compressor... Overall I'm happy!

Trunk light staying on???

As far as quick rremoval and reinstall, get some 6mm blots that are just a little longer, and screw them from the bottom of the rack up so the studs are sticking up. Then put the trunk on the studs and get yourself some wing nuts and voila, quick connect/disconnect...

I just bought 2 of them... Might make nice door prizes at a M&E or rally!
