  1. There's a nice one for sale in Ohio someplace. Oh, wait, Lewis bought it!!:stirthepot:
  2. Wow!! Sorry to hear of your mishap! As was mentioned we are glad you are the one telling us about it which means you will be all right, just take your time and heal well. Yup, the first time you see a naked 1st gen it immediately suggests "Chopper" the way it looks. Hope there's enough left of yours to work with...
  3. Enjoy Lewis!!! There is a slight learning curve but it puts a whole new perspective on touring you're gonna love!!!
  4. We have AAA+RV which does cover motorcycles. I think it is about $10 more a year but back in '09 it covered the flatbed ride home when we hit the deer. The +RV is different than the + program in it covers Recreational Vehicles such as motorcycles etc...
  5. Yes it does Bradley, not positive what Jeff's thoughts were but if he needs to run the pressure up that high to get the stiffness he needs then the front springs are probably weak. With 20 year old seals the higher PSI is pretty much asking for leaks...
  6. I think his next choice should be location...
  7. We'll be home...
  8. Yamahonda Royal Star Gold Wing...
  9. Brian, if you get no takers, I suppose it would go on my '09, but only if no one else wants it...
  10. Yes and yes, but both with modifications. As mentioned the trunk will need either an '85 mounting rack, or a MK2 rack with the two angled arms removed, and you will need the longer antenna arm. The floorboards require you to fabricate a pair of exhaust "hangers" and you need longer bolts and a big fender washer on the center bolt. Both are very easy mods to do...
  11. Orlin, that would be Saturday after leaving Flying Fool's place. Yes, would love to meet up with you. I'm developing quite a list of people to run into which is terriffic!!! I will be contacting everyone later next week to finalize things.
  12. OK so what you really need is the trunk mounting bracket! I had one a month ago but gave it away. Glad you were able to fix it!
  13. Will do Daryl! Tentatively it looks like we will begin the return trip on Friday later morning after being in the Mt Rushmore area for 3 days...
  14. Moose!!!
  15. Nah! I would have picked up the cell phone and given it to a friendly police man and explain how the owner lost it!! I'm sure they would have made sure it was returned to it's rightful owner...
  16. Shame, nice low mileage blonde...
  17. Having done the same on a few pieces, I agree, a lot of work!!! Makes a huge mess with the buffing wheel too! They look great!! Have you considered clearcoating them to preserve the shine or are you just going to keep waxing them all the time??
  18. Ebay?? Partshark??? Some nice member here?? You may want to consider upgrading your CB to a firestick and fabricate a new mount. Just where did the mount break? Did the bolts come unscrewed? Did it rip the cable when it fell off???
  19. Do you think your Harley can pull that??? See ya in a couple of weeks B!
  20. Glad you are enjoying yourself Dave!!! Stop by on the way home if you're close...
  21. Terriffic!!! Now give it a couple of seafoam treatments while you are out twisting the throttle then install new plugs. Follow that with a good colortune job on the carbs and you will be popping wheelies!!!
  22. Tom, you're having WAAAAAY too much fun!! Stop sniffing the Sevin...
  23. Way to go Ray!!!
  24. Holy Cow!!! Glad you are relatively OK Naugh T it could have been a lot worse, you could have gone down!! It was probably a retread on a semi, they fly apart like that! IMHO those type of tires should be illegal...
