HAPPY BIRTHDAY Patrick!!!!!

Yes Owen I know and wholeheartedly agree with you!! Once again, me thinks they are drinking waaaay too much of Grandpappy's corn squeezin'...
-
Good deal!! They serve the purpose quite well...

Congratulations on the weight loss!!!! You have done wonders for your health!! Unfortunately there is little or nothing that can be done for the periferal neuropathy. Don't know anything about the NC700's but for the same money you could trike your RSV and never worry about dropping it again. Just wanted to congratulate you for losing so much!

Depends on the kind of driver you are. If you are a "spirited" rider and like the twisties it's suicide IMHO. The handling charactoristics are totally different and the bike will handle weird to say the least...

Now wait a minute, so if I want to mow my lawn and discover I'm out of lawnmower gas I've got to buy 4 gallons?? If I run out of gas on a hot day 2 miles from the closest filling station I have to lug a big heavy can with me in the heat back to my car??? Me thinks they been drinking too much corn squeezings...

The issue is most likely water inside your TCI case, or corrosion on one of the connectors. The tach gets it's pulses from the #2 ignition pulse to the coil. Take away the ignition pulses, it runs like crap if at all. You should remove your TCI and unscrew the cover then bake it in the oven at 225 - 250 degrees for an hour. Clean the connectors, and remount the TCI on top of your airbox...

We're dining at the Armor Inn at 7! Many thanks to you, and all the members who posted on my facebook wall!!! This has made the day extra special!! This is a milestone Birthday, 65. By just making it to today at work, I just earned an extra 56 hours of vacation when I retire next month. Seeing as I don't get my first SS check until October, September is going to be a lean month...

Post Retirement September Trip To Mt. Rushmore
bongobobny replied to bongobobny's topic in Watering Hole
OK so it's starting to sound like we may take Jeff's offer of the RV for the nite or a hotel room close by. Boo, it would be great to see you and Jane if she comes up with you!! That would probably be Friday night! Wednesday night will be for the Michigan crowd and Thursday we will spend with my sister and try to make it to the other side of MI by Thursday nite. Orlin, maybe we could meet up Saturday afternoon, would like to make it to Minnesota Saturday nite, maybe spend part of the day at the Mall of the Americas, so Bubber maybe we could meet up Sunday... So far this is sounding like a great trip!! Dave, sounds like either Sunday nite or Monday some time! -
Waaay cool!! Wonder if the car can be turned around so he can ride backwards...

Post Retirement September Trip To Mt. Rushmore

Larry, sounds like we need to organize a Wednesday evening dinner somewhere, we would love to meet up with you and Joyce. If Wed doesn't work out, Thursday lunch may work. Jeff, I will give that some serious consideration, but we want Rum Balls!!! -
Well, it's drawing closerso it's time to make plans! On Wednesday Sep 6th we are saddling up and heading for Mt. Rushmore on the trike! First stop Wednesday night is the suburban Detroit area to visit with my sister in Bloomfield Hills. We are also planning on hooking up with Ragtop69GS for a brief time and hopefully any of you Michigan people wanting to meet up lets make plans. Our goal is to get to SW Michigan by Thursday evening. By Friday be almost across Wisconsin, Saturday across into South Dakota, and actually be in the Mt Rushmore area by Monday. Our timetable is very flexable! Our primary route is Interstate 90 west of Chicago going out, and Interstate 80 on the way back. We want to meet up with Ventureriders along the route!! It was a great thing to do this last winter when we went to Florida, and are looking forward to meeting more people face to face!! So if you are along our route, let us know and we will try to meet up for coffee, a meal, or whatever!! Being retired we have no real timetable but want to get back in 2 weeks or so, a week out and a week back...

Introduction and questions about my new (almost) ride RSV Millennium
bongobobny replied to 9Grenzen's topic in Watering Hole
Check your rear brake pads and swap their position from one side to the other. They are notorious for uneven wear sometimes... -
Funny thing, check out their statistics the info matches but as soon as you click on "find all posts" the scdreen says no matches found... Could someone actually post over 25 million posts per day?!!?
-
I'm about to find that out after Labor day...

Ok. I did not know that, wasn't aware that the silver one was an R/T, didn't know it came in silver...

Wandering 2008 RSV [Richmond to Rochester]
bongobobny replied to First_N_Last's topic in Watering Hole
This Friday just happens to be my 65th B'day and I'm taking off from work. What time and route are you taking thru Western New York?? Edit, just saw your ininary and the closest you will be to me is Letchworth, I am about a half hour from the south enterance... -
We do need to mention though that the one both Marcarl and Freebird rode was not the R/T versoin but rather the standard Spyder which does have a different riding position! That being said, the R/T still has the legroom issue and that is the main reason I do not regret triking my RSV even though the R/T would have been a lot cheaper...
