  1. Super Great people. They also make Kevlar lined pants called "Sliders" in a wide range of colors and sizes They are super comfortable to wear and a lot safer then regular jeans...
  2. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and heading up to visit my brother in the Albany, Oregon area in early Sept. WE have been over much of the state in a car and on 2 wheels. We are looking some new roads to explore We are also tossing it around about venturing into Southern Washington. Any recommendations from the Locals?
  3. I have sold a few thing on Craigslist. And I get that same message often. The simple way I have found to end it is. I told them to send cash with their agent when they come to pick it up. And Cash only. Trust me, you will never hear from them again… at least until you list it again. lol:fingers-crossed-emo
  4. I just bought an F4 Windshield for my MM RSV. It was not a hard decision after watching Youtube video’s from F4 and others comparing the safety of Lexan/Polycarbinate to Acrylic to know you don’t want Acrylic. F4 has a special Coating that make it "Almost scratch free" so you get the best of both worlds. After installing it I noticed immediately that Bugs clean off so much easier than with the stock windshield. The F4 Cleaner is Alcohol based. And if you use it and NOTHING else the rain does bead up almost like Rainx. But you have to keep it clean and wax free to get that effect
  5. Yes. All Duties are the buyers responsibility. Go to the contact pages and call ebay directly. They even have English speaking people that might be able to help. Work them hard about your feedback and also respond to his feedback after it is all done. Ebay hopefully will help you out. They are really losing touch with reality. They are constantly making it hard for sellers and pandering to buyers. ALTHOUGH it’s us sellers that support their paychecks I worked very hard to get 921 100% positive feedback 4.9 out of 5 stars and ebay just pulled my 20% discount because I WILL NOT offer a 14 no questions asked money back. Return policy. Plus another helpful hint. Ebay once told me that the way I am fully covered under their BS policy is for all Non US Shipments should only go UPS or USPS Express.
  6. Again… Many thanks to all of you for your help. I pulled the carbs, Float bowls looks real clean. The pilot jet was plugged. Thank godthats all it was!... I saw the pics of Cougars and was really stressin bout that. Tank looks good too. I did re-adjust the floats as per goose and they were all WAY OFF just like his… Put it all back to gether installed new plugs… and… all I can say is HOLLY CRAP this puppy runs GOOOOOOD ! Better then it ever did.
  7. Thank you all for your help. On level ground the oil level is WAY to high. (he told me he changed the oil just before he put it up for sale). So that explains the carb crust. could that much oil foul out that cylinder? But after only being riddin about 1k miles a year I guess I pull the carbs and take a peek anyway.
  8. :fingers-crossed-emoI have a (Barn find) 2000 RSV MM only 10k mile on it. Last month when I first got it a ran a can a sea foam as recommended but I always thought is ran a little ruff. But with past BMW experience most bike runs a little ruff. Well after some late night reading someone here said that they run surprisingly good on only 3 cylinders. Well, mine does. After starting it and running it for 30 seconds my left rear (#1) cylinder exhaust pipe is still cold. I pulled the plug and it looks oily and not firing, all the rest look great. I stuck the removed plug in the wire and cranked it and it has spark. I checked the compression and its fine. I suspect a plugged carb? When I pulled the gas tank I also noticed that the Carb for the cylinder that is not running has a nice coating of Oil/Gas seepage crust. I ask you, What would the guru’s do next?
  9. Trust me I hesitated to even mention tire preferences but I did so cause I couldn’t find any info on here about anyone running that brand( I won’t mention). Oil preference, I have a strong performance & racing background. I promise never to ask that question…
  10. I really want to thank you all so very much. I am compiling one heck of a check list. Number on the trunk is 151. Has anyone ever started some kind of registry for the millennium’s. I think I got real lucky. This bike was stored in a climate controlled garage, kept under the factory cover and even the cover looks new. He said he only road it once or twice a year. But it has not been registered since 2006. She starts right up and runs like a top. But like I said I got one heck of a check list to get wrenching on
  11. Fantastic point. Just looked and they have great tread depth. But the Metzlers look old and as dry as the hills. I definitely need new skins. Thank you very much. I had Shinko’s on my beemer and seemed to work well. But it was not nearly as heavy. Any thoughts? Safety is always first but my budget is a close second
  12. I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a previous owner of a couple older model BMW K bikes. I used to commute on them (when I had a job). My wife and I rode on weekends and she grew to love it almost more then I. Well we were looking for an affordable bike to take some trips on. And with the help of this awesome site we chose a Venture. Then I found a deal on one in Idaho. It is a 2000 Millennium edition and with Only 8800 miles on it. Well needless to say it is now in my garage in California. My question to the forum is other than a complete fluid’s change and carb sync. Is there anything I should concerned with before we start logging miles on the puppy
