  1. Hi Tealw1 What was the cost of your 4000 mile service and what was included in it? Also, what type of wear are you showing on the tires?
  2. A guy named Bill Matthews runs a group on Facebook called over 50 and still on 2 wheels. His wife and him rode the bike and they said it gives off a fair amount of heat. They also said that bike is for the larger framed person. I love the bells and whistles. But I don't know if I can deal with the air cooled engine especially since we are moving to Florida in the next couple of years.
  3. Thanks everyone for the assistance with my issue. My skills are limited past fluid changes and brakes so I had to run it into the shop. It turns out it was corrosion on the starter spring and on the relay. The shop cleaned up the corrosion and she starts every time.
  4. Just came back from autozone and the battery test. The battery was bad only 5 cranking amps. Brought a new battery and installed it. Going to find the test for the starter now.
  5. Ill run the battery down the street to autozone. I was just going by the volt meter.
  6. Day 3 update. When i try the ignition now i dont hear the fuel pump kick in. Im still getting enough amps. I checked the ignition fuses and the battery connection and they were all good. It may be that the fuel pump is out. I need to buy a new one.
  7. The bike is on. kick stand status is working. and wont start in neutral or with clutch pulled in in gear
  8. Hi All Yesterday I came home from work. I ride everyday. About 25 miles each way to work. About a hour later went to start the bike and I didn't hear the fuel pump kick in and the bike wouldn't start. I let it sit for a day and went to start it this morning, I heard the fuel pump but still no noise when i tried to start it. The lights come on and Im getting 12 volts. The fuel filter was changed about 3 months ago. Also I notice this past week when i get off the highway in the morning about a 20 minutes ride i put my hand on the engine to warm them up. Normally i can leave them their no longer than a sec and feel the heat through the gloves. This past week it was a lot longer on each cylinder before I felt the heat, almost as the engine felt only luke warm. The temps are in the upper 50s in the morning but in the winter a lot colder when i could only leave my hands on for a second. Do you think the problem is the starter, spark plugs or something else. When i push the start button nothing, no clicking or anything.
  9. Thanks to the great folks at Cycle Analysis in Cleveland. Got new rubber, new brakes, fuel filter, neck bearings changed, and Barnetts clutch upgrade.
  10. Hi All Im in the middle of upgrading my clutch with a barnetts kit. Just opened the package for my clutch gasket and it is the wrong gasket. Are there any alternatives. i was hoping to take a trip this weekend to Oklahoma city.. No one can get a gasket to me overnight. Thanks for any help. Vince
  11. Hi All Does anyone know will a in dash stereo without a CD fit into our cassette deck slot without any special mounting brackets. For those of you who have done it, which in dash stereo did you use. I want both FM and Satellite radio on the unit. Thank you in advance
  12. I have the exact same ones had them installed down in bike week October last year. Same location also. They get very hot. On the cold mornings in Cleveland around 30 degrees 50 or 75 percent is enough for me. I was very impressed they were a couple hundred cheaper than the Avons.
  13. Just checked that is the right number MV85HB-15
  14. Hi Freebird Thats all I run on my RSV. I get about 17k-20K each set. I do use the MV85B15 on the rear. I ride a lot in some torrential rains and that tire has held true. Solid grip on dry pavement also and the bike feels planted to me with the E3's on. Except for the original manufacturers tire. Thats the only tires I ever had. The rear for E4 is scheduled for late spring of 17, at least thats what the rep told me at the bike show. When your tread is halfway through you will start to hear a little road noise in turns but thats about it. Its not aggrevating but when the tires are new they are whisper quiet. So you notice that little bit of noise.
