  1. Yep, I've got one, too.
  2. Uhh, get a new bike? Sorry, couldn't resist.
  3. Exactly what I do, but, mine are 20oz. each, so a little less than a third of a gallon. I also put them in zip lock bags to help with containing any fumes, although, they never smell because the caps seal really well.
  4. I like that one.

Wally, you're thinkin' too much again. No, wait! I got one. What if you were a BOT & didn't know it? Sorry, just sayin'.
  6. Still riding here. Every day. Same as others: no ice, I ride.
  7. That is FUNNY.
  8. You didn't mention how tall your wife is, as Iowawegian DID mention her height, so it's a little hard to be good with a recommendation, but, my wife at 5'5" has a V Star 650 & loves it. The seat is pretty low, but, the newer 950 has an even lower seat & if you/she wants something to grow into, you might want to consider that one. It's not a whole lot heavier than the 650.
  9. Have 'em check your brakes, cables & if you don't want to diy, have them install the Front Fork Air Balance Kit. Check this thread. It's the only way to make sure the air pressure is the same in both forks.
  10. How many miles?
  11. "How many Venture Riders can I get to reply to this lame winter-time thread?" Oops, guess I fell into that one.
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong, but, isn't "here" supposed to have an apostrophe? Like this: 'he're". This means "he are". Since I assume this to be correct, then if I were to say, "He're there.", this just means that one could most definitely be "here & there" at the same time. Everyone seems to be so confused. Seems very simple to me. Oh, by the way, since I can't hear any of the members (or anyone else on this forum, for that matter), they're all just too far away from their . . . . Oh, never mind.
  13. Oops. Sorry, didn't read the previous posts carefully enough.
  14. You might want to read Break In Secrets.
  15. Guess I'm a wet blanket, too. Don't ever see a reason to run a red light (unless, of course, the red arrow won't change to green after a reasonable wait & it's safe to make that left turn). 100% in agreement with you.
  16. I've noticed a similar effect when mowing the lawn, watching the path just in front of the mower. When you stop, it seems as if it's still moving. Always thought that was kinda weird.
  17. Hey Steve, you better reread your signature. That explains it all.
  18. No, but, I am here.
  19. I believe he was talking about the headlight, not the passing lamps. I've put my passing lamps on a separate switch for that very reason, however. My thinking, as well. Learned something new. Love it here.
  20. Speaking of super scooter, if I'm not mistaken, don't they have a CVT, as well? I'm surprised that's not mentioned in any of the ads.
  21. I'm near Seattle & ride almost every day. The only days I don't ride are when it's cold enough to make ice & it's wet. Don't like the idea of 2 wheels on ice. Cold & dry: I ride. Cold & rain: I ride. Hot: I ride. I have ridden in light snow conditions, hail, wind, etc. I've ridden close to 11K miles this year & took no trips this year. I figure that's more than most bikers in this area of the country, even if they've taken an extended trip. With my Motoport/Cyleport Kevlar Mesh riding gear with liners & my Warm & Safe heated gloves, I'm good to go.
  22. Did you ever get one? Check here.
  23. Eeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
  24. Now, THAT made me laugh out loud. & I don't even know you.
  25. 2nd quote for clarification purposes. Gotta pay attention to the details, man.
